Season 2020 Episode 9 | 56m 56sVideo has Closed Captions
In this episode of “In Concert With CMS,” enjoy piano works by Dvořák and Korngold.
We open our program with selections from Dvořák’s “Slavonic Dances.” These songs, inspired by traditional folk melodies, brim with color and character. Following that is Korngold’s “Suite for Piano Left Hand, Two Violins, and Cello.” This piece was commissioned by pianist Paul Wittgenstein, who lost his right arm in World War 1, and asked many composers of the time to compose specifically for him
