The American Birkebeiner is the largest cross country ski race in North America and is held in northern Wisconsin. The 8,000 competitors travel 50 Kilometers from Cable to Hayward. One of the founders of the Birkebiener, John Kotar, discusses the beauty and tradition of the race and the impact of climate change.
