Forensic Dogs
Special | 6m 19s
A.J. Marhofke trained his border collie to search for traces of human decomposition.
A.J. Marhofke wants to help families seeking closure after a loved one has gone missing. To help provide answers he's trained his border collie, Zip, to search for trace elements of human decomposition. It's a new, specialized form of canine search that takes the skills of 'cadaver' dogs one step further. A forensic evidence dog can find evidence as tiny as a tooth or even just a drop of blood.
