As the H1N1 virus continues to spread, people at risk for complications are waiting for the first available vaccines. Asthma is one of the conditions that puts people at risk for serious complications. Milwaukee has a high rate of asthma because of its poor air quality and high pollen and ragweed count. Experts say about 30,000 people in Milwaukee County have asthma, and most of them are children.
