Researchers study "long-term practitioners" to find out how meditation changes the brain.

New UW research could help train your brain to feel more positive. Using high tech tools, a UW neuroscientist is peering inside the human brain to unlock secrets and he's using subjects described as the Olympic athletes of meditation, Buddhist monks. Professor Richard Davidson and other researchers are investigating the effect of meditation on both the function and structure of the brain.
