The historic North Country National Scenic Trail stretching across Northern Wisconsin.
When completed, the North Country Trail will span 4,600 miles from New York to the Missouri River in North Dakota. The greatest percentage of completed trail is in Wisconsin. The trail can be traced back to Wisconsin's earliest inhabitants 10,000 years ago. It's one of the oldest trails in the state and is maintained and built by volunteers.
