Dave Schrupp and his oxen log off pines on the Nature Conservancy's Crooked Creek Preserve
The Nature Conservancy has a unique way of logging pines on the Crooked Creek Preserve. To haul the logs up the steep hills they turned to a team of experts, Dave Schrupp and his oxen, Dot and Dash. These large, even-tempered animals are the perfect solution to an area where preventing soil erosion along the Mukwonago River watershed is paramount.
