Is Hawaii in a Real Estate Bubble?

Season 2016 Episode 8 | 56m 45sVideo has Closed Captions

On this episode we discuss whether Hawaii is in a real estate bubble.

In January, the median price of a single-family home on Oahu reached an all-time high of $733,500, and sales increased by double digits. Prices are spiking on Maui and Kauai, too, leaving many would-be homebuyers wondering if they’ll soon be priced out. The last time prices increased so much – and so fast – Hawaii was in the midst of a bubble that burst in 2008.
