Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipShelle, let's talk a little bit about other caregivers.
I know that's a challenge.
And sometimes our own health, our own selves kind of take a back burner.
But that's probably not the best idea, right?
When you're a caregiver.
You're right.
you need to... You have to take great care of yourself in order to help take care of someone else.
Absolutely.
And that includes your mental health as well as your physical health.
you need to give yourself a break.
and the person that you're caring for will notice if you're not taking care of yourself as well.
You know, whether you just take that break and go out and have an evening with girlfriends or read a book, or say no to possibly other obligations that you might have already had.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
And so taking that mental break.
Taking that time for yourself.
Remaining active, staying physical, you know?
Absolutely.
Got to take care of yourself and take care of somebody else.
Okay.
Well, we appreciate you being here on inspire.
Shelly.
Thank you so much for sharing your story.
thank you so much for having me.
Thank you.
