Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipToday, we celebrate International Women's Day.
The theme for 2023 is hashtag Embrace Equity at Western Kentucky University, an art exhibition called Melanin includes digital illustrations celebrating people of color.
It was designed by a young female artist majoring in studio art with a minor in graphic design.
Being around these different artists growing up in West Louisville and just hearing their music just inspired me so much to design their faces.
Well, today, being International Women's Day is the day for us to just celebrate women and empower them to tell their stories.
And just no matter your walk of life, your background, no matter the type of work you do, said day to day support women and just continue to empower.
And with women who do major things in our community and our society.
The gallery is located at the Intercultural Student Engagement Center at W.K.
U's Downing Student Union.
Happy International Women's Day.
