COVID-19 holiday spike should be far less than last year’s

NJ's vaccination success means ‘....we will hopefully not see as big an increase’

Dr. Shereef Elnahal, President and CEO of University Hospital, Newark and former commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Health, says that “because we have made so much progress with vaccination in New Jersey, we will hopefully not see as big an increase” this holiday season compared to last year's. He remains concerned, however, by staffing challenges in hospitals.
