Just like with all animals, you want to be careful when you're around bats.
You don't want to pick them up because there is a chance that they'll have rabies.
You know, they're flying around above eating insects.
They're not going to hurt us.
They're unique for a number reasons.
One, they can fly.
Another thing that I like about them is that even though they're a small mammal, some of the little brown bat who have lived for over 30 years, partially because they're hibernate.
So if they're hibernating, there's fewer risks to them for over half the year.
if you're a bat, your day actually starts when it gets dark in the summer.
When it gets dark, then you emerge from your roost.
You start flying around looking for insects.
The smaller bats will feed on things as small as insects or larger bats mainly feed on beetles and moths.
So they feed for a while and then they'll rest.
And then once they've digested their first meal, they'll fly around again to help bats, Right now, one of the main things is to leave them alone.
If we get them in our house and into our attics, then yes, we'll want to do something because we don't necessarily want them living in our attic.
But other other than that, just leaving them alone, watching them fly at night.
