#### Kentucky had more than 52-thousand COVID cases last week - breaking the record of around 30-thousand from last September.
Today's positivity rate is more than 26 percent - also a new high.
#### The governor is authorizing more National Guard members to help in Kentucky's hospitals.
The deployment will include 445 Guard members.
Jefferson County - Kentucky's biggest school district - will switch to virtual instruction, because of the increased number of COVD cases.
#### Governor Beshear is proposing two billion dollars in new spending on pre-K-through-12 education.
That includes full funding for universal pre-K.
He's also proposing more money for higher education.
