#### Larry Forgy has died at 82.
Forgy was the 1995 Republican nominee for governor.
He also ran for governor in 19-87 and 19-91 and was Governor Louie B. Nunn's budget director.
His sister, State Senator Alice Forgy Kerr, says Forgy was a "wonderful man who had a profound impact on Kentucky."
#### Kentucky has 92-hundred new COVID cases.
That's down from yesterday.
The positivity rate is 27-point-eight percent, which is up from yesterday, and a new record.
#### Governor Beshear today proposed new spending for public safety.
His plan includes a 15-thousand dollar pay raise for state police, more pay for local police and firefighters, more prosecutors, and more staff for social workers.
He also says he agrees with a House budget proposal to give state workers a six percent raise.
