Meet the 100-year-old jazz legend from Ogden, Utah – saxophone player Joe McQueen.

Known locally as the “King of Swing,” saxophone player Joe McQueen took the bus from Oklahoma to Ogden’s 25th Street back in 1945 and instantly connected with the local jazz community. What was initially meant to be a two-week stint turned into a lifelong commitment for Joe and his wife Thelma, who have called Utah home for the past 74 years.
