The cell phone ban includes during lunch and in the hallways, which were a possible exemptions being considered.
Some exceptions will be allowed, including for students with disabilities.
The new policy comes as the result of House Bill 208, which was passed by the Kentucky General Assembly earlier this year.
The new law requires school districts to adopt a policy for cell phone use during instructional time.
