The wave of school shootings across the U.S. has spurred a push for more safety measures. In Newark, district leaders are planning to use artificial intelligence in an elaborate new security system for the public schools that would go way beyond traditional systems currently used in most districts. Community advocates and security experts have raised concerns about such a "next-generation" system.
