We're just over halfway through the qualifying matches as we work our way towards the season eight champion and the $1,000 grand prize.
In our fifth match, we have former champion taking on a newcomer.
The Crusaders of John Bapst Memorial in Bangor are making their sixth appearance on the show, and they're a former champ, taking home the crown in season four, but the Panthers of Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro are hoping their first time here includes a trip to the finals.
Let's get things going by meeting the teams.
For John Bapst, we have Elinora, Jed, Ada, and Griffin with alternates, Oscar and Indy, and they're coached by Jacob Mattis.
And from Medomak, we have Chris, Mia, Gavin, and Seamus with alternate, Kelsey, and they're coached by Kevin Richardson.

We have a tossup round, head-to-head round, the category round, and the fun lightning round, too.
