A Crosscut newsroom survey a few weeks ago, shed light on the issues voters care most about in the 2021 local elections across Washington State.
Based on hundreds of responses, the priorities were clear.
Housing and homelessness is number one.
Voters want candidates to discuss what they would do about camps and tents around Seattle, affordability and help for small landlords.
Policing and public safety are also on voters minds.
Including defunding or re-imagining police services and violent crime.
Taxes and the economy was number three.
And concerns about urban planning and transportation, showed up as well.
A current survey focuses on King County and Seattle citywide elections.
The goal to dig deeper and draw out the nuances voters need to hear from candidates to cast their votes with confidence.
