Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(violin music) - My favorite instrument to play is the violin, I've been playing it since I was eight years old.
And I love it because I've never, I've played a lot of instruments and I've never played any that's just as expressive as this one is, it's completely up to your interpretation.
You can do pretty much anything you want, and it just sounds so beautiful to me.
I've never been able to find anything like it.
And playing a good Bach from one of the Bach Sonatas.
And I chose this piece because I think it's so much fun to play a solo piece when you're not with an orchestra or piano, because it's really just up to your interpretation.
You don't have to follow along with anything and you can just be as flexible and as expressive as you want.
My biggest musical accomplishment was getting the title of concertmistress in the district orchestra as a freshman.
I am a pretty anxious person by nature, and it was really hard for me to go up and go through all of these audition processes to lead an orchestra.
I cried when I heard the news, 'cause I was so happy.
'Cause I couldn't believe that I had managed to go through all of this.
So in the future, I'd like to be a music educator.
I'd love to teach high school orchestras because as a kid, I loved to play music so much, it has been such a big part of my life.
And I'd like to do that for other kids as an adult.
