Julius Chambers is an important figure in Civil Rights history.

Julius Chambers grew up in the town of Mount Gilead, NC in the era of Jim Crow and became an important figure in Civil Rights as a lawyer, winning the landmark Supreme Court school busing case Swann v. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education in 1971.
