(gentle music) This summer, Seattle museums are exploring a galaxy of Black culture by way of science fiction, fashion and art installations.
At MoPOP, you'll find the traveling national exhibit, Ruth E. Carter, Afrofuturism and Costume Design, which runs until January.
The show celebrates Carter's unique talent for marrying African inspired designs with technology like 3D printing.
It showcases more than 60 costumes by the designer who won an Oscar for her work in the blockbuster movie "Black Panther."
And through August 31st, the Museum of Museums features an expansive new group exhibit called "Hollaback to the Future: Afrofuturist Dimensions."
It includes digital art, paintings, collages, and installations by artists from Seattle to Ghana.
