#### Most government offices will reopen in Kentucky's second largest city, next Friday.
Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton announced downtown government buildings, the police headquarters and senior centers will open on June 11th.

Senator Mitch McConnell says Kentucky should end the "extra" 300-dollars-a-week unemployment insurance benefit, provided by the American Rescue Plan.
According to WDRB in Louisville, Senator McConnell told a Shelbyville group yesterday the extra benefit is making it harder to get people back to work.
Governor Beshear says the extra money is helping to encourage consumer spending.
##### The 2021 Shaping Our Appalachian Region, or SOAR, Summit will be hosted outside of Pikeville for the first time.
Corbin was announced today as the new host city.
The conference is October 13th and 14th.
