Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipwhen we had spoken earlier, you mentioned, you know, a high school or, you know, helping out with lawn maintenance, right?
I mean, we think about the inside of the home, but often there's a whole lot of responsibility outside of the home.
And those chores can really be something that's a challenge regardless of your age.
Yeah.
And, you know, how do you really and I think this again, goes back to that planning and thinking about this from more of a community organizing sort of framework and say, okay, I'm living in rural southeastern Kentucky.
I might not be an older adult.
Right.
But I might be someone who's really invested in seeing those people who are part of my community having their needs met.

So if we could work more with our high schools, even our elementary and middle schools, to start thinking about those projects that they could help within their community to do.
Yeah.
When we talked earlier this week, I mentioned, you know, even things like, yard work, which is, you know, sometimes difficult as we get older to be able to do some of those things we once were able to do.
Really having someone or a group of, you know, community members participate in that.
And I think that's a really great way for us to start fostering or really pushing more about this mission of communities taking care of each other.
Right.
This conversation is part of KT's ongoing aging initiative that examines the challenges and rewards of growing older.
