Dozens of Kentucky counties will get federal help for damage caused by storms in April.

Governor Andy Beshear says President Donald Trump has now approved public assistance for 64 counties affected by tornadoes, winds, flooding and mudslides on April 2nd, as well as 36 counties hit by tornadoes and straight line winds.
May 16th and 17th.
In the past, the governor has said Kentucky would have to pay hundreds of millions of dollars for cleanup and repairs if the federal government did not provide help.
But with the help, Kentucky's share will now be in the tens of millions, according to the governor.
