The suit argues that the company purposely hurt young people's health by creating addictive features while claiming those features were safe.
Those features include Infinite Scroll, the constant alerts.
The lawsuit says media created those features to get young people hooked and that the company knew they were hurting young people's physical and mental health and hurting their ability to sleep.
The New York Times quotes Meta as saying it has done many things to support families and teenagers, and it's disappointing by the lawsuit.
