Khalil Ekulona

7/28/2025 | 1m 1s

Khalil Ekulona shares why public media shaped his life and why it matters to all of us.

Khalil Ekulona grew up immersed in public media. His dad worked at Maryland Public Television, and by age nine, he was already voicing underwriting spots. Now, he’s sharing why public media still matters: it’s powered by people, for people, and tells stories from our own communities. “If you can help it stick around, please do. It’s good for all of us.”
