And let me just say, this is so far not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
I want to welcome everyone to my home county of Graves and to St Jerome's 144th annual Fancy Farm Picnic.
I genuinely appreciate the warm reception.
Would like to take the opportunity to thank the Picnic Committee for its tireless efforts to organize this historic event each year.
To Father Jim for gracing us with his presence and remarks to Father Darryl and to the parishioners for opening this community up to us.
We also owe a huge thank you to the King of Fancy farm, Mr. Mark Wilson.
I've been watching the weather all week, and it was projected to be hotter than Andy Beshear after he saw the election results from his home county for the second time.
Mark Mark stood at this podium Thursday night and prayed for cooler temperatures for us.
And that.
Night the Lord sent an unexpected thunderstorm and blessed us with a cool 89.
Degrees.
Instead.
Heavy rain.
My name is Jim Holloway, and after three years of hard work and constant prayer.
I have been selected as the Repub 20 primary nominee for the Second District.
I'm so grateful to the voters of Grayson McCracken County for entrusting me with the opportunity to go to Frankfurt in January to protect our freedom and uphold our values.
This is a surreal.
Experience for me, and I'm truly humbled by the support I have received over the past three years.
It is not a responsibility that I take lightly.
Since May, I have been working nonstop to engage with voters and various groups throughout the community.
The first thing I did after the.
Primary was reach out to various officials.
I asked them, Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to this state funding shortage in western Kentucky?
I didn't get a single response.
Upon follow up, I learned that Republicans didn't know what Please many Democrats didn't know what opinion meant.
The attorney didn't know what honest men.
The Libertarians didn't know what state funding meant.
No one in Louisville knew what a shortage meant.
You knew what a solution meant.
And no one east of Bowling Green had any idea what Western Kentucky meant.
Now we know that isn't entirely true.
Our area has been there snippet of quite a bit of funding recently, which is crucial to recovery following devastation.
Grace County is looking forward to the rebuilding of our administrative building, our power station and City Hall.
And hopefully sooner rather than later, our American Legion and our Grace County Jail, which is a crucial component of public safety to our entire state.
And keep this.
I'm about out of time.
This campaign was successful because the message was honest.
The truth was this kind of work was done.
I want to close by thanking everyone so much for their support.
I'm already looking forward to next year's picnic.
The word and a French word is that I already have a primary opponent for 2026, which is weird because I hadn't had an.
Opportunity to screw.
Anything up yet.
And remember that those who just.
Want to sit at a table have a hard time getting out and going.
Home and then staying home.
I cannot get to Frankfurt quickly enough.
I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day.
Thank you so much for your time and attention.
God bless you all.
