The exhibit features over 60 examples of the T-shaped Japanese garment, as well as Western couture, Japanese paintings, and decorative arts. A collaboration with the Costume Institute, the exhibit highlights the shifts in kimono trends, styles, and production techniques, and the artistic conversation between Japan and the West.
