Zed took his first ride, on a motorcycle, wasn't really afraid at all, but then again try most anything looking to each day, all the games we used to play.
Tryin' our best, to be wild men.
No care how long it last, like everyone else did, but then again, might as well be forever.
Hanging around with those who knew, just a little more, At least I thought they did, one and all surrendered.
Zed said, Zed said, Zed said, Zed Zed felt all the changes, all around him, everything was spent, on a good time.
Yeah.
They say good friend, is worth more than anything, you got to listen to me, there's no question.

Yeah.
Zed said, Zed said, Zed said, Zed said Whoo-oh-oh, Zed said, Whoo-oh-oh, Zed said, Whoo-oh-oh, Zed said, Whoo-oh-oh-oh Someone will bring a riff, sometimes Shane will outline a song with lyrics, and bring that, then we jam on that, and may maybe tweak the arrangements, you know, just play with it.
Or I will write a riff, or something, and we record all our rehearsals, so Shane will take it home then write lyrics and everyone writes their parts and it's just very organic the way it comes together and a number of different ways, you know, we don't have like a specific way of writing we just you know however it comes, it comes.
Yeah, we do a lot of jamming, you know, and yeah we spend the first half an hour of our practices just jamming, and doing stuff that comes off the top of our head.
We make the songs for not just our own wanting to explore but we want the audience to get an emotion, to get a feeling to have a good time, to have joy in their life.
I mean we play some blues songs too, and some country songs, kind of sound and stuff, but it's about joy and happiness and a good old fashioned rock and roll concert.
And so, when we're up on stage playing these songs and the audience is feeling it that's when I'm most free.
Lights keep dancing, twisting, spinning, in the night.
Close to me, feel your fire, deep inside.
Silhouette, of a summer dress, and a beating heart.
Crowds increase by smokey haze, your smile, lights up the dark.
Some years it lasts forever, other years it seems to disappear.
Summer nights with you and I together, And summer is the best time of the year.
The stars above, shine all down, shine down.
Whispers all around, speak of love, speak of love.
The fire it burns, the fire it burns, the night on down.
The world it turns, world it turns, summer mourn', summer mourn'.
Some years it lasts forever, other years it seems to disappear.
Summer night with you and I together, and summer is the best time of the year.
The stars up above, shine on down, shine on down.
Whispers all around, speak of love, speak of love.
The fire it burns, fire it burns, the night of down.
World it turns, world it turns, summer mourn', summer mourn'.
Some years it lasts forever, other years it seems disappear.
Summer nights with you and I together, and summer is the best time of the year.
Yeah, sometimes we have other folks sit in with us or we try different things and sometimes they're not used to hey, just play in this key that's what we're going to do, you know, and that's how sometimes the song comes together in a week, and sometimes it takes five years.
Right.
But that's just how we have so much fun creating, you know, we're like, you know, just kind of like being an artist trying to make new painting every week.
It's so personal for me, music, it's something I've done since I was a little kid, original music it's a very unique relationship, it's intimate in ways.
To be able to comfortably share such personal things with these guys.
I think my TV is watching me.
Cameras on every screen.
Street view, sees me too, rattle the cage I'm in the zoo.
Step away from the machine, realize the machine is me.
Glow of a dark room all alone, voices callin' through my headphones.
Last night I was in the stream.
Thousands others there with me.
My bio-signs, public to see.
Brave New Fahrenheit 84 dream.
A camera on every dream.
Brave new Fahrenheit 84 scream.
Starting to feel less secure, she's listening to every word.
Step away from the machine, realize the machine is me.
Glow of a dark room all alone, voices callin' through my headphones.
I think personally for me it's just getting together and practicing almost every week.
Shane always calls it our bowling night, like this is our night out, you know.
Right?
Right.
And it's a good thing that we all get along because that's why it's lasted so long.
I mean for me it's just you know we're playing for each other almost more than even the audience and just creating something with the boys, at Steve Studio, was like, you know, it's like the greatest thing can do every Friday night, you know.
It's just the camaraderie of being in the band together, of being together, for Shane and I have been together since 2010.
You know something like that.
You know just the experimental aspect of writing new music with great friends.
That's the best thing for me.
I like performing, I like to see the audience out there having a good time, you know, stuff that we have written, you know, and so, that's really a plus, too, but it's mainly just the being together in a band.
Come ride with me, I'll take you places just don't know.
Come ride with me, around the bend, as fast as we go.
Foggy moonlight callin', come on!
Don't you know.
Don't you know!
If we don't slow down, wheels go flyin' off.
If we don't slow down, wheels go flyin' off.
Say no to the break now baby, who needs that old damn road.
Old damn road!
Over the road side baby, straight off the cliff.
Over the roadside now baby, tell me, who needs it?
Sailin' right though midnight, over the hills filled with mist.
Come ride with me, I'll take you places you just don't know.
Come ride with me, around the bend, as fast as you go.
Foggy moonlight callin', who needs, that old damn road Old damn road!
Old damn road!
