Ricardo and Harriet Romo began collecting Chicano movement-centered art in the 60s.

Ricardo and Harriet Romo had a huge wealth of art, but they came to realize that in their household, few others saw these works. They decided to contribute hundreds of works to San Antonio’s McNay Museum, and were delighted when the McNay decided to create an exhibition based solely on their contributions.
