Paul Lazar Scholastic scrimmage is question and answer competition featuring high school students from across the WVIA viewing area.
In each program two schools compete in a single elimination tournament for a chance to win one, three or $5,000 dollars.
WVA would like to thank our sponsor, FNCB and People Security Bank for making this competition possible.
This year, Scholastic scrimmage looks a little different and the rules have been revised due to the COVID 19 pandemic, but in each half students will have the chance to alternatively answer one question.
If they answer that question correctly they'll receive a bonus question.
If their answer is incorrect, the other team can rebound but will not be given a bonus.
Students can also score points during the two lightening rounds in each game.
Judges tonight are K-12 educators from the WVIA viewing area and tonight's match features Lakeland and Abingdon Heights.
Playing in the first half for Lakeland, are Grace Stangline and Kayla Walsh.
