Tonight birds of a feather flock together to cheer on their teams at the Battle of the big chicken cast in the shadows of the iconic.
Marietta Landmark is McEachern, High School where four teams from around Atlanta will battle out a pecking order long before McEachern is home of Marietta hatched into one of Atlanta's biggest suburbs, it was burned to the ground in the Civil War Union.
General As you march to the sea demolishing, supplies crops and livestock along the way.
Marietta later recovered with the help of the western and Atlantic railroad, which believed the South would rise.
Again.
The city is rich in history, which you can see for yourself at the Marietta history and the Gone With the Wind museums, But tonight in Marietta history will be forgotten and replaced with the adrenaline rushing present as Lassiter.
Hillgrove McEachern and Walton kick off the second season of GPB Sports football Fridays and Georgia.
Tonight while the crowds will look to the big chicken for directions, when they cross the road, only Victory or heartbreak will be found on the other side.
It's a battle that's on each team's bucket list, but time tonight is over, somebody is going to get roasted tonight.
It's the battle of the big chicken football Fridays in Georgia.
Well, they're outstanding quarterback in the drinks and the Hawks of Hillgrove game to imagine two more Cobb County powerhouses as Walton.
Raiders Of All State running back tire and Jones invades, Cantrell Stadium to Gone.
The host any ends.
Hi, I'm Mark.
Harmon we are fired up.
I'm with a Hillgrove janitors on their Hawks as they take on the Lassiter Trojan.
Also a big game online on the internet on the world wide web.
We've got a DB B dot orgs webcam tonight.
Warner Robins, it's taking long.
The Falcons of Flowery Branch that starting at 7:30, gpb.org/sports got, or now I'm going to set it up to the two guys.
We're going to call game.
One of this battle of the big Icahn, my two colleagues, John Wilkinson and John Nelson taken away.
Fellas.
Thank you very much, Mark.
Harmon and what we've gotten the on.
Our first game of the doubleheader are two Cobb County teams that really would like to improve their street cred, not only in Cobb County, but nationally is or I'm sorry Statewide as well.
And let's start with Lassiter and they get a pretty good quarterback.
And he print, you talked about things nationally, Eddie Prince headed to UCLA and with Eddie Prince, he didn't do any seven on seven tournaments, he didn't do anything.
Kind of took the summer off a little bit head coach Jeff, Berlin.
Thought he was a little more at ease with everything being decided to him heading out to Malibu and head coach.
Jim Mora so he's going to run this offense.
He's been compared to AJ McCarron at Alabama and his head coach Jeff Berlin.
Even compared him to Parker McLeod of Walton.
That's a tough.
That's a good pedigree.
There's a good pedigree.
Now let's go over to Hillgrove and they got a real good pitching catch combination and Troy Thompson, and Evan engram.
All right, let's start off with Thompson Thompson last week against Westlake 18 of 25 281 yards for Touchdowns he admitted things were a little blurry.
That was his word in the first half, but as things continued, they got into the Rhythm and the offense.
He got those four scores and they came from behind for the 16 point.
Win, 30 1215!
Now his next Target, Evan engram, an engram.
They're looking to see if the Ole Miss commit, can create some matchup problems on the outside because it's 63 and 64 with the smaller defensive backs that he's going to be facing.
It should be interesting to see him line up on the outside.
He could have a big game if that Transpire.
Let's introduce you to the third member of our crew down the field Rayven tirado.
Hello Raven.
Hey guys, how you doing tonight?
Thanks so much, guys.
If there's one thing I can say about tonight's game, it's great expectations for both teams for Hillgrove.
They're going into their sixth season with Coach Ironside, when he first got there.
It was a little rough at lot of bad football, but now he's taken teams, their state playoffs, the fans are loving and it's throw the kids, but that's not the only expectations.
They have in their kids.
They want to see what they Advance.
After football coach was asked, is This your ear for a state championship.
He said, I don't know, we'll have to see.
It's all about being healthy and matchups, but that's not how I try to measure our success.
I'm wins.
But these tries to measure on where these kids go afterwards and he said sorry about that.
Guys, he said that, we'll have to see how these guys do as for Lassiter.
They're trying to get past a state.
Semifinals back to you guys, you take a look at Hill, doesn't grow?
Head coach.
Phillip Ironside 7 season and He's got a pretty eclectic coaching history and you talk about that coaching history started off in Louisiana at Christian Life Academy and he had three NFL has come out of that program.
You had stuff on lafours was one of the big quarterback.
Who's recently become a head coach on his own at the age of 31, he goes from Louisiana to Tennessee and followed up with John.
Read the new head coach at Tift County with the job.
At Alcoa, you see his record right there seven season, 25 games over 500 his 11th overall at 63 and 39.
Then after two years at Alcoa, Comes here to the state of Georgia and tries to rebuild a Campbell Smyrna program and now you see him building?
What he's building here with the Hillgrove Hawks.
What's impressed me as he's been there from the beginning.
As you take a look at Lassiter, head coach Jep Irwin in his second season 15.
Tim and John, he's really improved.
The fortunes for the Trojans.
You talked about Raven talked about in the open them, getting to the semi finals last year and it all started with his predecessor.
Chip, Lindsay and other Alabama coach who came to Georgia to get his Fortunes in Georgia squared away when it came to being a high school.
School coach, everyone remembers Hutson, Mason Philip, let's and Kirk.
And what they were able to do with the Lassiter program.
And now the second Ella Bama coach in a row, Jeff Irwin has taken over and you sell saw that run that they had last year to the semi-finals with a very, very young offensive line guarding Eddie prints a bunch of sophomores and now those sophomores or Juniors and Prince.
Now for his senior season, he's ready to go and get them to week 15.
So we're getting set to kick this off.
Hillgrove will get the ball first as last year, won the toss and deferred.
or Luke Harden with the boot and Cleveland and he's got no, he'll get off at the 31-yard line, a heck of a run back and great field position for the lasted for the Hillgrove Hawks, you look at it right here, you're going to see the cut, the big hole right there to make sure that everything spring To the outside and he had about 20 yards on his own knocked out of bounds right there at the 37-yard line.
And here's your other look coming right into your living room.
And finally Lassiter gets the angle, just to distract him a little bit Dairy and Cannon gets them all the way down to Great field position right now for the Hillgrove Hawks with their first and ten on their first possession.
Troy Thompson had a heck of a debut for 2012 against Westlake.
You should take a look at his numbers last Friday.
It's a first down and ten ball marked at the 37, yard line.
And Thompson looking at almost caught almost intercepted.
As we take a look at the Hillgrove offense that was Omar black passes into Robert Dowling on the coverage.
Take a look at Garland Collins Fitzgerald McCurdy and Ward the offensive line just in Denton Ricard Ray Bagley he had a good game against against West Lake last week.
That cats Evan engram And Omar black, your your brought you by Regions Bank, expect more you're starting lineups.
Run up the middle.
That was Trey, Thompson.
As we take a look at the Lassiter defense.
Mon Yang SI day I'm on and Trent.
Gant are your front three Zaxby's.
Ryan g'day.
Josh Stand forth from he's a good one.
Will tell you about him later Dowling.
The only returning starter in the defensive backfield Lewandowski and Chris Murphy or user corner and Thompson to throw and scores touch.
Down 72 yards.
Oh, what a play by Dowling flag in the end zone.
That's probably excessive celebration and that'll be tacked onto the kickoff.
But once again, last week, we talked about in the open how they kind of got off to a blurry.
Start, that was Thompson's words and let's see what happened here.
On the technical college system of Georgia, touchdown replay tries to throw it to the outside receiver, Dowling steps right in front of it and no one will touch him as he goes all the way.
From one end of the field to the other tcsg learn more earn more 72, yard interception return for a touchdown by Robert Dowling seniors.
The only returning started and the defensive backfield, the enjoyed that and Trojans will enjoy an early six-nothing lead as Harden comes on to add the extra point.
Bad snap.
And Harden, doesn't look smart thing.
Just falls on it and so remain.
Six.
Nothing Lassiter.
We saw what happened there with the 6-nothing score.
And now, once again, you have that flag, that will be impacting on the kickoff of, let's take a look at our keys of the game.
He's the game brought To Us by our friends, at Johnny's Pizza.
And let's talk about these keys with Lassiter.
Get past the First game Jitters and obviously with that pick six, going back the other way, not a problem.
There, we talked about 25% times for being 100% And what head coach Jeff Irwin meant by that, is there are four aspects in his game.
The screen game, The Run game, quick game passes, and 25% of the plays, down the field with some play action, you get that kind of balance.
Its 100% Hillgrove on the flipside, get Ingram involved because of the height, we talked about the high disadvantage of the outside against the Defensive backs for Lassiter and then you got to pressure, The Fresh Prince, Fresh, Prince of Bel-Air any prints.
That's how easy that is Sally's.
Call these days, he's heading out to Los Angeles, may become the fresh, prince, of Westwood, as he heads, the UCLA.
And now with that penalty, you see where they're kicking off from the other kicking off from the 25-yard line, because of the excessive celebration.
So this could give field position again to he'll grow for that second possession.
Remember the return.
Got him down to the 37 first time on.
And so, let's see what happens this time.
Do you think he'll grow had the momentum going their way, right off the bat?
We turn, right?
And then like a splash of cold water, they returned an interception, The Distance by Robert Dowler is nothing wrong with cold water and this weather, but that was the wrong kind of Splash that they needed in their face this earlier.
Cleveland and Simmons are back deep waiting for hardens, kick gave it a good one.
Last time this time.
It's this Partners Simmons, and Simmons.
Brings it out to the 36 yard line.
Here's one more.
Look at that interception, return by Dowling.
See Thompson looking right at his receiver didn't look him off and it was just an easy step in front and then it was off to this end.
Of the North End of the stadium and collapsing into the End Zone after a 72 yard, run for six points on the board.
And that was definitely the kind of start that Lassiter was looking for in their first game of the season.
So you take a look at Troy Thompson and, you know, he doesn't seem to be the type of guy that might be rattled by this.
No.
And of course, Hillgrove already has a game under their belt to win over West Lake and they'll give to record rate Bagley and Bagley.
That's about it.
A couple of yards and that's it.
Brought down.
Looks like I'm on and good day.
What a Non-Stop and Bagley has had a history of being a slot receiver but also coach Ironside knows that Bagley has to get his Touches for it to be an effective Hillgrove offense.
Second, that's Omar black and brought down by Corey.
John after a short gain he'll bring up third and about for.
Once again, it's all about numbers.
When you see these offenses, they're going to look at numbers and if there's a distinct Advantage if it's 3 on 2, or if they can create some kind of a play that will cause some confusion for defensive back.
She'll get that kind of yardage third and three for the Hawks.
Look in the front James row on the blitz.
So last year has got everything going their way.
See the rush coming?
The top of the screen.
Untouched was Row for the easy sack.
So now it'll be fourth down and nine.
They're going to be set to find to two possessions to ending badly for Hillgrove off the top Andrew gone.
Gone to kick Juwan Dickey back deep.
Dickie driven back to his 18 escapes attack off.
But fixing the 20 and that's about it flashing in there for Hillgrove was Marcus White, 44-yard punt.
Take a look at Lassiter quarterback, Eddie Prince.
If he has a year like he had last year, he'll be the all-time leading passer in Georgia, high school history.
He had 30 over 3,300 yards last year.
Needs three 200 yards to break the record.
He is on his way to UCLA and John I'm sure he's going to take some ribbon when he gets to Westwood about his high school team looking just like archrival Southern Cal no question about it.
You've also got a guy who patterns his game.
For Peyton, Manning get his favorite football player.
Aaron Rodgers.
Explain that well Rogers, but they both have Super Bowl wins.
Its currents on play action, completes it.
Willie police.
As we take a look at the Lassiter offense brought to you by Regions Bank.
Lot of Juniors on that offensive line but their experience, it's a senior Logan door who's in experience and we'll explain later throughout the game, Dickie police Hakeem, Shaheed Blake, Wilson, and Ryan Jahnke, and your skill players for the Trojans on First and Ten.
Friends completes it to Deke and 10.
This surely brought down by Trevon Simmons.
As we take a look at the Hillgrove defense, Bradley chug Peyton, Hewitt jailen Reed and Kevin kolakowski your front for your bathrooms.
Are Justin Haney.
Victor Sanchez and JT Adams and Xavier Siesta.
Lamarcus pay lee toland.
Oh Cleveland Trayvon Simmons on a pretty good.
Secondary Police to about the 32 yard line.
I'm talking 37 yard line before being brought down by Bradley Chubb, the acetyl and oh Cleveland the Georgia Tech commit come up and he had him wrapped up but he didn't have him.
Completely wrapped up.
You saw the brush off right there.
Game down the sidelines.
Let's take another look at it from up top.
You'll see Cleveland come in from the left, tried to wrap him up, around the ankles didn't happen and then all of a sudden you've got a first down.
Artists of the flip side of the field down around the 35 and they're going to tack on some more yards.
Two catches for police for 35 yards and that's a you got a roughing the passer call on Hillgrove General.
Tack on another 15 to give him First and Ten down at the Hillgrove 20.
So Lassiter really only in this first quarter right now, the interception return for the touchdown.
Now the offense moving down field and great catch and Jackman touchdown Jackman on the end around for 20 yards and it's already 12.
Nothing Lassiter.
It's like that frontside, handoff from like the Statue of Liberty play that we've seen Boise State start, and then become very trendy when it comes to college football these days.
So, let's take a look at the Technical college system of Georgia.
Touchdown replay, tcsg learn more.
Learn more.
You saw the fake to the near side, the handoff bar and sure enough.
That's all it was Lang Jackman.
Easy into the end zone.
That time, 61 195 pound Junior.
Makes it 12 to nothing now Harden and now we had a flag.
Any movement early balm underneath Hillgrove?
Knows what's hit them interception for a touchdown.
That's the big question yet.
Once again, they started out slowly last week against weslake came from behind in the second half.
You don't want to be known as the second half team this early in the season coach Ironside.
Obviously, trying to figure out what Stop, I'll try the point after again, there's hard.
This one is between the uprights to make it 13 to nothing Lassiter.
Well, link Jackman.
What the touchdown makes it 13 to nothing Lassiter.

Thank you for your support.
He's got to be happy because last year's up 13 to nothing right off the bat here in the first quarter.
Take a look at the scoring Drive.
Brought to you by tcsg learn more earn more foreplay 79 yards minute 26 time of possession laying Jackman with the touchdown jr. Eddie friends in the dr3, 43 44 yards.
A lot of those quick passes getting quick yards, Now go in the end zone and I'll be no return.
Here's a resume by the Lassiter Trojans and there were state semifinal us last year 10 and for this season was back in 09 when they went 12 and one that was their only region title they've made the playoffs three of the last four years after nine making the playoffs and the prior eight years.
So this is a program John that is really up and coming and we talked about the pedigree with So, Mason Phillip Lutz and Kirk and all those guys.
You had Kenny, orgy.
Okay, who was part of the team last year?
Charlie, hang it is, who's playing for a NC State this weekend as part of the activity down here?
So you have a lot of these Lassiter guys, who coach Irwin has brought in to continue to re-establish, the tradition that was started a couple of years back with the chitlins and Bagley and Another big play in the backfield by John great pressure, great surge.
Let's look at the surge that Lassiter ends up with here.
Just look at all the bodies that make their way through, especially off the edges right up the middle.
And it was a meeting meeting that they had scheduled at 7:18 and Counting of the first three guys, just trying to figure out what's going on.
We'll meet the guy in the white jersey, second down and 12 off the loss of tunes Hopkins.
Going to keep It's like number 76 that would be angry person.
And Orson already gone beyond my depth charger, all at the same time talking about the first game of the year you're talking about a very very thick day here in Atlanta where it is ladies and a lot of humidity.
So I think that conditioning and the depth and trusting your death will be key today.
I'm going.
For a first down, Justin dentmon, beautiful catch by didn't see Denton going one-on-one, 26-yard gain on the play.
Most Thompson with a bit of a fade to it.
All a little under thrown on purpose.
Probably until you see how the jousting went on right there against Tyler Pinter.
Denton comes up with it for the big game, crucial first down early for his first, big play for Hillgrove and passes incomplete was intended for exact cash, but Hillgrove needed, that kind of completion there to get their confidence going there question.
Trey Thompson outstanding game last week against Westlake, a heck of a way to make your debut.
Complete 70 percent of his passes against Westlake.
This is a guy that injury issues last year as a junior.
You wants to make the best of a senior year.
He's already 25 for 31 yards today.
Two receivers the bottom of your screen that's badly and badly, maybe get three yards and that's about it.
Looks like James Rowe is involved when you tackle, and once you've seen so far from Hill, Grove Hill, Grove works, the edges works the outside, then they come back up the middle, trying to see if Lassiter is spending too much time focused on the outside planned out everything outside.
The hash of the come back there with Bagley up the middle, row, a linebacker, senior 6-foot 185.
I love the gay guy.
You patterns his game after me and Joe Greene.
He must be watching some old NFL films.
Nothing wrong with old.
No, it's nothing wrong with that.
That's you and these generation is he goes back to throw looking for an incomplete on the coverage for Lassiter was livid house key just a little Just A Little Wheel route coming out of the backfield that time and he was wide open off of the play but it was thrown a little high.
I tried to grab it with the one hand, keep it in bounds, couldn't be.
So now it's a fourth down, close to midfield for Hillgrove Reed, Hall, sophomore, he averaged 37 yards of upon last week against Westlake hits that one up the side of his foot.
And again, last was going to get pretty decent field position out of that.
27-yard punt by Hall.
So John you got to be really impressed with the way.
Laster's perform both defensively and offensively so far, especially offensively.
They March down the down the field and that's what you're looking for.
You know, you're looking for that kind of good confidence, boost first game out of the box, you see Eddie Prince coming back and when you have as many targets as Eddie, Prince have you have to stay honest defensively to, all of them, you're talking about John Dickey and police we've seen Brian Jenkins will Austin and Shaheed.
All of these guys, you have to respect them and there's a bit of a concern, you know, if you try to double-team them that means somebody's wide open.
Couldn't haul it in was really police.
Here's the tail end.
He had it as sleeping up, he had it, hit him in the face mask.
When he lost control of it, I'm Marcus Bailey on the coverage.
You take a look bleep police, he's little lane, coming off the field and keep an eye on that because that's another big Target for Eddie friends that he likes to use a lot in this offense handles the bad snap and quick throw complete too, short of the 35-yard line called in by Blake Wilson.
And I'll Wilson, did that time was just kind of settled down into the Zone, find an open space.
Prince scanned, his receivers on that Far Side, pretty quickly and ended up with just Wilson to squatting there for the quick game.
Third and three trips at the top of the screen and a quick throw to the first down.
That's Ryan Jenkins Jenkins, a transfer making his Lassiter, Davy debut.
He transferred in from Milton high school and he brings great hands and speed and really is Second option along with Joe on Dicky know you talked about Jenkins very very quick coach or when likes his burst and his change of Direction.
You saw that on the last play it now get out of bounds after a five-yard pickup chased out of bounds but the Quarry hickey you see friends here You great coverage by the Hillgrove secondary fake.
The end around is looking avoids, the rush there and then with everyone down field that creates a lot of open space and that gives a good six-yard gain for Colin's.
Not Jackman given given Chase.
He'll all it in.
That's gonna be a huge loss.
He was battling Justin Haney for the recovery, boy.
That was a bit comical.
Let's see what happened there.
It looks like Prince was lined up behind his right Garden tackle, his collar, and it's either one of two things, it was meant to be a misdirection and there was a misalignment or they paid attention to the snap count and snapped it.
Regardless of her friends was well as a 28 yard loss, in its third and forever.
Third of an acre Dickie.
Vigorous some nice moves across the 30 to 40 will be well, short of the first down about five, Alright short, Chase dibala, Marcus Bailey and I'll bring up fourth down.
But you see how quick this offense?
Can get yards.
Talk about a third down and 31 or a third and Tuesday.
And you see how talented Joe on Dicky is here?
He gets some blocking up front and a lot of wide open space there.
Here's a look from ground level.
You see the end of the play getting out of bounds ends up 8 yards short of a first.
So it was a gain of 23 and you saw how quickly Jep Irwin Squad.
Can just pick up that kind of yardage hardens out the punch.
Take a senior 62, 200 pounds of speed.
Somebody's going to get that kid.
Seven catches in the last two years for jajuan Vicki and Lassiter often.
Another short kick Hillgrove will have good field position on 19 yard punt by Harden who have good field position at the 39-yard line off the side of his foot and there was some backspin attached to it.
So it got the big hop coming back the other way.
So you end up with a third possession for Bro, for they've got decent field position starting at their own 40.
And again, he'll grow got some confidence on that last offensive possession.
And they need something positive to happen in this.
Second off off this, this offensive possession because you don't want to be down too quickly in a game like this, especially on a hot humid game.
How the shotgun and a quick throw and dropped.
That was Marcus White.
Bring up second and ten seems like they had a last-second.
Intense Thompson 2 of 7 for 31 yards to start off this game.
You saw that time at the receiver was kind of contorted looking upfield.
As he was trying to catch his body turned at about a 45 degree angle and you want to bring the ball in and then make your turn to head up field instead of trying to do two things at once.
So it brings up a second and ten trips and a whole bunch of other Trojans.
They'll bring up fourth down.
And you saw on that particular play you sure you saw Danforth number 11 there come up from his linebacker position.
They had six or seven in the box and then Danforth came to the near side was almost like the nearside defensive end and that created.
A lot of confusion, third down and there's Danforth of the hand around Thompson gets it was able to catch it but it's incomplete and there will be a three and out for the Hawks Robert Dowling on the defense that time of the Cadre Bagley.
Once again, you're getting that pressure off the edge, whether it's blind side pressure against Thompson or near side pressure Thompson's paying attention to the blitzing linebacker coming from the near side and you'll kind of see it on this particular play that Thompson has his hands full when it comes to this blitzing defense.
That Lassiter is showing that they're showing Thompson right now.
We're going to give you pressure.
It's going to be pressure, pressure and more pressure.
That's a pretty simple game plan right now.
Defensively for Lassiter.
Going up against Thompson in the Hillgrove offense.
He's got a red shirt flying all around them from three different directions and it's hard to get your bearings straight especially when you're trying to build those pinpoint passes.
All is second pot.
Dickie back deep from Trojan and I will do all I can to recover it.
Finally, it's recovered by Hillgrove.
The Marcus Bailey and another mix up and Lassiter is right at the doorstep.
Let's look at this one more time.
Watch this another high snap.
Any kind of was in the in-betweens is trying to figure out what to do.
Do I pick it up and try to rugby it?
Do I kick it out of the back?
Back of the end zone.
And he was kind of indecisive on either one and it ended up being a very, very deep.
Fumble recovery for Lassiter, tremendous field position for them at Their Own 7-yard Line.
A chance to really make flexor muscle in the first half or first quarter's timeout by Hillgrove.
And this obviously, right now, for Coach I'm side is just a calm as guys down.
You've seen all of the pressure that Lassiter's created on Fans and all of the pressure that's been created right now and it could get even more.
So let's end it right downstairs to Raven tirado Raven.
What's the early word?
Hey, thanks guys, we had an interesting conversation with Coach are it's the other day.
We talked about how technology advances football.
These guys now have iPads, they can go home and they can log on to watch game film.
Where before you used to go after practice, watch game floor even before, pretty neat concept.
When you think about it, back to you guys, thanks Raven.
You know, a lot of teams are starting to go with with iBooks as our as our playbooks now.
Okay, well, as to me is those folks, it's amazing to me how technology has worked its way into Every aspect of Our Lives a and now with football, it's like these days, you can be at home, you can dial up the Playbook or you can dial up all of the film whether it's on YouTube, or if you have a special account setup.
You can look at it at home and you're putting a lot, a lot of trust in your, creating a lot of maturity in your athletes, by having them have all this responsibility at home.
And you're also kind of making the environment a lot better for them as well.
And the big Josh Danforth gets the call will get to under the one-yard line.
You'll Use Danforth in the full-back position every now and then and he's right at the door of the endzone.
Omar come down to the one yard line but you up second down and goal.
Josh Danforth is a busy boy.
Seen him already on defense and you see it's almost like a big fullback just kind of lower the Boom at two thirty to thirty-five.
You just lowers his head.
He likes that kind of contact Danforth in touchdown last.
Well, Josh Stand 4000.
Do you pressures?
Troy Thompson?
And now they'll give it to the big fellow to let him dive into the end zone.
1 yard, Splash were Danforth getting all the Carries On That to carries and seven yards in the drive for Danforth.
So he's got a couple of her.
He's a couple of pressures.
I think he has half a sack and now he's got a touchdown off a, to carries and seven yards.
That's a heck of a first quarter.
We asked him, what subject he likes to studies.
The extra point is good, Josh Danforth, and he told us weight training because he just loves the lift.
What's his favorite subject?
Weight training, weight training, you know, he's a football player.
When he enjoys weight training, he likes to rock him up and lift them up.
Here's a replay, brought to you by tcsg learn more and more.
And here's the snap off of the punt over the head.
And once again, punter, kind of caught the in-betweens, do I kick it out of bounds?
So I try to advance it and try to pawn it.
Then it was falling on by Lassiter busy drive for Josh Danforth, busy quarter for Josh, Danforth on offense, and defense getting the Splashdown right there.
Three feet six points and now a 22.
Nothing lead for lesser down the hot humid day.
A here in Powder Springs.
He's a pay, some self.
You take a look.
He's got offers from firm and Georgia, Southern and Tennessee.
Martin linebacker fullback.
He's he does all in the trenches.
He's a guy that likes to mix it up to you know throw a few Haymakers here in there.
He likes the contact region, tcsg scoring drive to place seven yards, all judge Danforth Josh Danforth for 36 seconds you sir were the man He looks like the type that enjoys the way Grandma Joyce time tag enjoys weight training.
Get him in the trenches.
So of course who does he pattern his game After Shock Ray Lewis and why because of how physical a player he is and his great desire for the game.
Cleveland takes it in the end zone.
They'll come out to the 20 and now, he'll grow is got some work to do down, 22, nothing.
The 218 to go in the first quarter.
This is a big hill to climb.
For Hillgrove an unintentional pun there but you see what they're capable of doing on offense.
You saw it last week for those of you that caught the Westlake game, putting 31 points on the board, but they weren't down by this many out-of-the-box having to Chase Westlake all all last week.
So now I think that that time out that coach Ironside took, it was one of those things, he calms him down.
It's like we've got plenty of time.
We can make this all back.
We've just got to continue to win this in stages.
So let's take this Stage win this stage.
Hold them.
Come back.
One another stage.
So that way you score three times, you've got it, you got to take it one at a time.
Here's Bagley, Pat, a little bit of a hole open up but then it closed quickly as he's brought down by Zaxby's.
I'm just wondering when they're going to get Evan engram, like in the involved in the game because we're at the point where he needs to get some touches, and I think that he also has that big play ability as well.
There's the defense Again by Lassiter clogging the middle.
There's Danforth.
What?
A surprise Josh danforth's involved in every aspect of the game so far and deep fall.
They're incomplete as that pass was intended to for Marcus Bowens.
Bring up third and long.
You know and you got to have an appreciation for the guys who are the 60-minute, guys, they're ready to be linebackers are ready to be than their own special.
Teams are ready to be fullbacks and you're talking about Judge Danforth and the busy quarter.
He's had, he's created a lot of Havoc for the coach Ironside from Tom's and forth will line up on the line as a defensive end as Thompson pressure.
Again, this time, he will tuck and run and he may have second thoughts after Ryan Gill day.
Up into them.
There's a prime helicopters to take a look at three yards short of the first down, right?
So you see all the receivers go along, Thompson's going to try to create something and then write their ankles and cut out from underneath of him.
Here's one more, look completely upended there with the somersault and then there's your close-up right there.
Great contact by Ryan.
Gill Dale, 62 225 of them, taking the legs out, from Troy Thompson Thompson, my feel that for a while, dead.
30 yard line, 43-yard punt by Reed.
Hall, three Halls had a busy first quarter.
Three punts already.
Well, I would say right now.
Hillgrove needs some kind of pathetic something positive to happen on defense because you just hate to say, see him getting worn down early.
Yeah.
And that's what a 20.
Nothing little do.
It'll wear you down physically and mentally.
You know, when you're having talked about this big hill, they have to climb.
And your defense is going to have to get you back into the game.
They've gotten some pressure on Eddie frames, there was the the one play.
That was the bad snap where they had lasted or pinned deep in their own end.
But I think it's going to have to be he'll Groves defense, creating opportunities for their offense right now.
Jenkins and motion will take it on the end around.
Beautiful defensive play by Justin Haney in the backfield and disrupting that play.
Pulling the Utah pass out of the Playbook right there.
Just a little flipped and then pressure shooting the gaps to three guys around the football making, the tackle loss of four on the play for Lassiter who made the Utah pass, family.
Gross, got you.
All right sir second and long for any prints.
Drop that screen case.
Has an ally first down across Midfield, and we'll get to the 45 yard line.
To think before being brought down for after a 29 yard game, what do you do when you're in trouble?
Here's Smith on the top you call the police little pitch and catch right there.
How long you believe that?
Let's see, 14 minutes and 50 seconds about that.
There's the police work in the beat.
Big positive gain right there and that'll do it for the first.
We need to take a break after your police reference there.
Yeah.
It's been all Lassiter.
The first quarter 22.
Nothing as the Lassiter offense with a has done really well.
They've had an interception return and they're up 22.
Nothing here at the Battle of the big chicken.

Thank you for your support.
22, nothing.
This is the debut of the season opener.
For Lassiter Hill grows, got a game under their belt yet.
Last year's want to look sharp John Nelson, no doubt about that SI Jep Irwin talking with you officials.
After a busy first quarter, you see the pick right there that will go from one end of the field to the other 72, Waltz points on the board for Lassiter.
The high snap off the punt.
Lassiter Punta Cana cotton, the in-betweens created a short field from Josh Danforth to carry seven yards on the score of there.
Lassiter.
Putting 20 points on the board with a high-powered offense, taking advantage of Bill, Groves mistakes in the first quarter in the time of possession.
Look at this.
Hillgrove had 80 a two-possession.
The first Lassiter had just under four minutes but Lassiter has the 20 points on the board that matter how long you got the bolts, what to do with it.
And Lassiter has been doing a lot with it and that's Lane Jack him up the middle, hurricane, a couple of yards and that's it and two it there on the tackle for He'll grow Jackman had the other TouchDown for Lassiter in the first quarter.
This is the first game here, the battle, the big chicken, it Cantrell Stadium, after this one, McEachern and Walton, that'll be a barn room.
That's going to be a matchup.
We both teams played in the Corky Kell, Classic on GPB.
There's Eddie princes early numbers, eight of 94.
95 yards in this office, darn near perfect and he's gonna light it up.
He's going for that was Dickie.
Good coverage.
if they are tied to Corey hickey, Could you on Dickie?
Try guy loose behind the defense, but great recovery by hickey 3 inch, difference.
Deke, that's 62 200, Dakari hickey with him, every step of the way, fake handoff by Prince that time right there, great hand over the top, by Dakari hickey.
Right there.
Great defense for the car hickey and look at that.
With the spike keeps it out of Juwan, Dickies hands.
And it could have been another 64 Lassiter.
About five yards and that's about it before being brought down by the defense of the Hillgrove Hawks that was Omar, black on the stop with a fourth and inside five, it looks like the giving the impression could going to go for it.
Well, why not when you're up 20 and nothing and took the 39.
So if you punted to text back and then out at the 20 and their defense has been spectacular.
How to shotgun trips on your screen.
Go go showing Blitz and timeout called by Lassiter.
Looks like some confusion there with prints on the play call versus what was coming in from the sidelines.
So Jep Irwin takes the time out to think about it.
Let's take a look at Lassiter schedule and where they go from here and you want to talk about what Lassiter gets to do.
They get to go to those.
Pray bearing, right?
And you get the Cal Longhorns who are in the cow and we saw them and the early game at the Cow classic that Woodstock game and Walton on.
October 5th, that could be a heck of a ballgame, followed by the Milton Eagles, they'll have to take a trip to Milton wheeler and Roswell.
Got back-to-back home games to close out the season with Edwin.
I would say, Mark, October 5th on your calendar.
John Nelson and you get the week off to prepare for Milton.
There's a flag.
Be a celebration penalty.
I've certainly as he did the, the Misty flip into the endzone.
So, it's another six on the board for Lassiter and you're talking 26 points.
About 13 and a half minutes.
There's there's character which are when explaining please don't do that.
When you score, we appreciate your effort but just act like you've been there before.
He also plays the cross on at Lassiter.
In fact, he's not getting a whole lot of attention from schools because he doesn't participate in camps.
He plays lacrosse and I know Eddie Prince has been lobbying.
And for his efforts and a bad snap on the extra point.
Unscrambling.
Is a holder, Blake Wilson and Wilson, completes it.
I'm sorry.
Luke Harden.
We got a bag at the three so we'll see if it stands.
Oh, my goodness boy.
When it goes right, it goes right.
You could see the near side block happening all day.
And when it was laid out, it was a And there's a block to Spring the kicker so we'll see if it stays on the board at a.
And if it does that's early candidate for play of the year on football Fridays.
Wow.
What a way to open the season.
Blue cardin, the kicker made a trip to the End Zone.
Look he looks winded.
Well, considering all of the ground that was covered.
Five, Blake Wilson, trying to create something.
Unfortunately, the penalties on Lassiter.
Okay, Blake Wilson.
You're going to have to try this again.
This time, it's gonna be more of a field goal.
So, Blake Wilson will hold Luke, Martin will try to figure out how much oxygen he has in his sister.
Don't even know what does a cat that has to be all that's has to be a candidate.
So, now you have a 30-yard point after attempt, what amounts, to a 30-yard p80 than the first thing.
This one's a little normally, he's got it to make it 27, to nothing to take a look at the touchdown, brought to you by tcsg learn more earn more.
And there it is.
You see the little move on the inside, police cuts it back, cuts it back again.
There were three cuts and there's a fourth one to evade all of the tacklers.
And once again, coming into your living room, cut to the left, there's going to be another cut right here, another dig.
And then the flip into the end zone, which gave them the penalty.
there's your cut the last time and then What John Wilkerson, does every single day at work?
He flips into the endzone.
There's other things cost me 15 yards though, friends with the head.
But of the police, the only time that you can ahead but the police is when we're talking about football.
So let's let's see if let's look at the two point conversion.
And this well, really was something.
Well, it's tell you about Willie police.
There you go.
He's got four carries for 103 yards.
Are you saying it's a slow day for him so far and four catches for four catches, for 103 yards and Prince already 9 of 11 for 134 yards.
So, he's off to a great start.
If you take a look at the to that of them.
I mentioned earlier, and friends is really lobbying for Willie to police that get some kind of college offers No, he told not to do the summer camps and kind of play lacrosse in the springtime.
You really like to see him, you know even lobbying the UCLA people to get this guy a look and maybe he can come out to Westwood with him.
We're talking about a receiver.
510 160 pounds models is game after Reggie, Bush.
And then, if you think about it, Trojans, Reggie, Bush makes perfect sense.
Well, you likes the way Reggie Bush can break ankles with Thal his and these are sort mistake to say on that on that last touchdown, run by police.
There was some ankle breaking going on with all those crossovers.
Very explosive, his words about Reggie Bush, and we've seen that so far with the busy day that he's had, oh, pardon his Cottage graph.
Does factly, takes the kickoff.
Nice move.
There this is the 45, a good return by Ricard Ray Bagley and once again good field position for the Hillgrove, Hawks number 15 of that was from the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty off the touchdown.
So once again, here's coach Ironside, just reminding the team.
This is a game of stages, we got plenty of time.
We've got the entire second half plus 10 minutes of this first half.
All we need to do is just get something back here.
Minimize the mistakes, In comes to you with the game, come to you, get some points on the board.
Look at Ray, Thompson's passing numbers today.
Only 26 yards.
But again, he got off to a slow start.
Last week was able to redeem himself on the keeper and he's got some Running Room as the shoulder and gets about to the 27, yard line, referring being brought down by Patrick, loved it all ski in a 17 or 18 that time by Thompson depending on the spot.
And once again you talk about gain a 27, you talk about how these athletes do take games into their own hands.
Let's take a look at it.
Coming right at you, you seem peek out of the side, cut their cut back inside.
Lower the head, 20 yardage down inside the 30, first, and 10.
And the reverse reverse pass, and the throw, by Ingram Way, Off the Mark throw was intended for a number 15 Arrow, bro.
So we got another flag on the play at the 28 personal foul on Hillgrove.
So that's going to send them back 15 which is something that they didn't need right now.
Well again that's it's been that kind of game for Hillgrove.
Once they get something some positive, Mojo going something happens that just reverses course So, take it back to roughly the 43-yard line.
Hey, John.
After the success, to Troy Thompson had on that carry.
You gotta think he wants to get himself involved in the game just to get the confidence going for this offer.
No question and that's what athletes who are leaders like to do.
They like it to show by example.
And you saw on that last play that Thompson and the running game for Hillgrove could gash Lassiter of granted the opportunity.
And that's what they're going to try to work on.
Hanna whistle stops play.
Once again, reminder after this game is done, I have a bit of a tailgate party, but then we've got McEachern and Walton here for game 2, expecting a packed house or a packed house and a half.
Here in Powder Springs at Cantrell stadium for last year's runner-up in 5A the week after McEachern plate.
The 5A Champs last time Thompson to keep her up the middle and you'll get a little bit and that's about it.
Josh Danforth in on the tackle Ryan good day also as well bring up third and long and you see like we've been saying a lot about colegrove today.
Yeah that's that's one of the things that obviously coach Iron sights.
Going to work on just limit the mistakes and get yourself in third and manageable as with this offense, which could be anywhere the way that Thompson runs.
It could be anywhere from 38 3rd, and 10, and N, but you've got to get there.
So you can get these yardage back and get the points on the pressure on Thompson.
Again and complete the Justin Denton at the 32 yard line, You'll Be Well short of the first down, had to get to the 18, to get the first down, it will be fourth down.
So the fourth and 14 in could be in early.
Decision for Philip, iron sights, simple out, right there, look at the feet.
One, two one, two, almost three feet, inbounds great, catch that time.
I just indent 6.
250 lb 5 pound Junior and they are going to go for it on Fourth and long.
Thompson Raul hog wire brought him down and Lassiter will get it on down.
That's why our 511 to 99.
Look at him right there in the middle 55.
Coming.
After the quarterback, you want to talk about a guy that's going to take two other guys to move a guire the Junior.
Back up nose guard.
Once again, you talk about death, probably coming into play today because of the conditions so your backup nose guard gets in on everything.
There he is.
Big boy 511 299 is going to be around for future when for another season and just a junior and Well again, Troy Thompson's got no time at all throw.
And now we got any friends back in there and try and complete Peyton Q.
It was there that disrupt that and that's the right word disrupt because he was trying to catch it around.
Peyton Hewitt.
But you're trying to figure out, okay, how do I catch it and not bump into the line of the defensive tackle?
At the same time on the bubble screen they had plan?
How do I save myself and kill shot?
Kranz steps up fires, complete across the 30 to 32 yard line before he's brought down by jailen, Reed Jackman lowered his head.
And this is, this is kind of interesting, when we kind of asked the players this week who they pattern games after, And patterns of atoms his game.
After his buddy grifter allow who's wide receiver down at Valdosta State.
You start never stops moving his feet gives 100% on every plane.
You seen that so far with Jacqueline tonight and friends with some pressure how are you doing the pressure where I doubt he's going deep.
You could see Wilson kind of turn around and wait for the ball.
Friends tried to load up on it.
Wilson tried to come back for it for the catch.
Here's Prince.
You'll see him scramble to give himself enough time, so we can load up and we'll see you in just wind up and throw it as far as you can.
And right there running and running up the ladder which happens to have the number 22 on it.
I'm Marcus, Bailey Wilson.
Was looking for the flag and got the flag, so it's a 15-yard penalty from the line of scrimmage.
It's not a spot foul.
It's 15 yards and a first down for Lassiter.
Now they'll have it at their own 45.
Coach Ironside wondering what else is going to happen.
It's been a rough first half for him.
Drop back firing toward Jenkins and Jenkins is got it.
You get that defense.
Yes, he did coverage by Trayvon Simmons, Ryan Jenkins, 511 180 pounds.
He's going to be heading to Clemson after this year.
Talk about that quick burst that he had right change of Direction.
Nice, look back at the football.
Got the one foot down.
Here it is.
Great camera work nice guys in the way to go guys in the garage just got there, 43 yard pickup by Ryan Jenkins.
And you know, I'm having visions of Sammy Watkins.
When he gets the Clemson because he has that same my same makeup.
If you take a look at his verbal committed to Clemson, He's gonna play well, they run a little different, kind of spread offense here in Lassiter than what Chad Morris the offensive coordinator.
Clemson runs but fitting quite well on that offense and because of how Jenkins is they try to run an opposite of join because of what they both can do.
That's worse.
And Wilson scores touchdown Lake Wilson and let the on s***.
Continue for the Trojans thirty three to nothing.
511 175 pounder and this game is getting blown wide open.
John Nelson, you watch prince, get the snap.
He's looking off of the little screen right there, the whole time, great block off the corner, lowers his head gets into the endzone, ball crosses the plane before he gets down.
So it's a touchdown for Blake Wilson and it is 33 to nothing.
Blake Wilson patterns, his game after Welsh Welker because well he plays in the NFL needs best in the league.
There you go.
Nuff said Extra point by Harden.
One of the last other guys, like holding my team's, the thirty four to nothing last of having themselves after the New England Patriots.
And you can see why, well, Blake Wilson has laid it on thick for Hillgrove Lassiter.
The Trojans are up big thirty four to nothing.
Broadcast of this program is made possible in part by the following nothing prepares you better for a great career than the 25.

When Mom got sick, my daughter engaged already, I felt sort of stuck.
I went to SunTrust, I just wanted to talk to someone and they listen helped me see options.
I didn't know I had now, I'm moving forward.
So I can focus on what's really important.
I'm better off than I thought at SunTrust, we're here to help.
Help you find the answers.
You're looking for.
This is my baby girl that that's why we start every conversation with.
How can we help you?
Sir.
Let's go down to Raven.
Hey guys, when you're checking out the defense, I need you to check out number 34, jamesrowe, there's something special about this kid, not only on the football field, but in the classroom, he's a mind to be Lassiter's valedictorian this year.
Pretty cool, huh?
Back to you guys, that is way cool and Lasting Love 34 on the board.
And we talked about 34.
I love the story that coach Irwin told.
About the fact that, when he's in practice and he needs to go to a lab.
Well, you go that lab son.
You got, you need to take care of that.
You've got an AP class, you go, right ahead to that AP class because coach or one thought, it would be really cool to have a football player, whose valedictory and it's been a valedictorian effort so far by Lassiter.
Wow, you like that?
Yeah.
So they're learning, they have, so they gone past the Masters and they're earning their PHD today.
So far, especially in the first half big boot there and Bagley will take in the end zone and Hillgrove will take it at the 20.
So if you're still broke right now, John Nelson, you know the game has gotten away as we take a look at the scoring Drive.
Five plays 72-yard sponsored by tcsg learn more earn more minute for of possession.
72 yards in 64 seconds.
That's the kind of scoring drive that you really like if your jet boat when running this particular offense, And maybe later on the defense will want them to kind of take up the clock a little more.
So they don't have to be back out on the field so quickly.
Well, the defense is good to put on a heck of an effort as well.
I don't first down Thompson.
Looking to throw dancers Danforth, were this big ponds around them, bringing them down.
Josh Danforth lined up and stood up on the defensive end side on the bottom of the screen as you're looking at.
Come from the left hand side right there pressure, find the Gap.
Sack, the quarterback and you lost his head.
But he got it back.
Here we go, there's Danforth off the block off of Bagley.
Bagley was no match that time for Danforth, and his second sack of the night, two sacks, and touchdown heck of a half.
Oh Thompson, got nailed by the Lassiter defense.
Oh my good Moni, a hang in there, getting in the shot.
Yeah, I guess senior 622 17 and they call him the best pass.
Rusher on the team are one of the best pass rushers.
You just demonstrated that there as Thompson already fourth 12, 37 yards.
It's been a rough first half, there's the shot again.
Watch Millie your screen right there as he's getting rid of it, mon yang right up the middle that time.
A lot of pressure looks like they're sending more.
And a flag.
Probably some kind of procedure call as last.
We're going to come on.
A jailbreak and went and that's what you're looking out for in these situations you see Lassiter.
Bringing two guys, you know, that they're coming but you've got to stay still Hillgrove was ready to defend that Blitz, but they were ready before the snap count to a third and 15, become the third and 20, yet another third and long situation.
For the Hillgrove Hawks.
Magley in the backfield with Thompson and Thompson.
Look in the floor, either cut off the middle.
I was young again and course of the bad throw.
There's some pressure come from every possible angle when it comes to Lassiter.
So far this is just flat pressure.
It's coming from all sides middle, and both edges.
And right there Thompson gets rid of it in time but Corey John all 5:9-10 of them getting right in Thompson's face.
Having hurry, the pack, John Force's, the bad throw, and it's a three and out to take a look at Roy Thompson again, he's happy.
He had a rough outing against West Lake for a while, but he's able to, right, the ship as Reed Hall with a big boot, Vicky will feel the, at the 45.
It's a cutback sheds.
A couple of tacos and then gets nailed by RJ Smith.
I'm Sorry by Victor Sanchez as a flag is down.
Take a look at a prince there with Jenkins suit, the man in the white hat has to say about this.
There's your there's your men in the zebra shirts.
Greg whole go, your referee.
Take a look at the rest of the crew here and during a hot humid night in Powder Springs.
Do you wonder about a game like this?
Looks like coach Ironside is taking a little frustration on the striped shirt.
Just trying to figure out where the plaque, where the penalty comes from.
The call in personal foul on Hillgrove.
That'll move it another 15.
All right, let's take a look at the hall of fame and Lassiter and starting off by tight end, Philip Lutz and Kirk, and I got to do the, let's see.
When you're on the plains are John, that's animation from Georgia.
I Trio of NC State Wolfpack hers and course, they're down the road at the Georgia Dome playing Tennessee as we speak Charlie.
Hey, get us now is Clark, and Camden wince.
And whence is a vital part of that offensive line for the pack.
Cody Johnson and Corey Carlson.
Jordan playing down at Georgia Tech God.
Son of former Falcons QP David Archer.
Kenny or gok was integral to the team last year he's at UCLA and has kind of started.
This Exodus out west, that's getting prints out there.
Plus a lot of interest from a lot of the other Lassiter players.
West coast East Coast heading west.
They're trading in their garnet and yellow for the powder blue shirts.
Not Scarlett, Scarlett, because garnets Florida State there.
Being colorblind a few times Akeem.
Shaky on the carry.
He's making his last of their debut, a transfer in from Wheeler High School fired eight to ten senior, he was a linebacker at Wheeler, you're using him more than as a fullback Place.
Both ways could play linebacker could play fullback as well, dance serving in Okinawa, right?
And Quick Pass complete.
Let's pop by Quincy Purdue and Purdue will have a first down.
He had to get to the 22.
It looks like they're going to market right there will be a first down for Lassiter.
Quick little quick hitch, right?
They're settling right in the zone.
It's out of the ankle tackle works his way forward.
That's key.
Hold onto the football, and try to get, as much out of it as you can, that's, was back at it on us.
And so, he fighting for yardage.
Should the treaty not gonna mark them at the 18-yard line?
Five, eight to ten, he's got some leverage on him, tough to bring down.
any friends is having an outstanding debut to his senior season, Trips to the top of your screen second and seven and friends.
Again, 2012 yard line.
He was fighting with JT Adams.
Adams able to bring them down at the 12.
We've talked about Shaheed and how much of a gutsy player he is.
Never give up solid head on his shoulders.
Look at this continuing to move and grind to get that yardage down inside the 15th in terms of the top of the screen and It'll be short of the first down pass complete, Blake painter.
Once again, we're talking about the depth chart.
A lot of guys are going to get a lot of work.
Because of the conditions and also being the first game of the season.
Jeff Berlin, also with the luxury of a 31, a 34-point and Luke Harden on for a field goal from 30 yards.
Wilson's is holder.
Remember what happened last time?
These two hooked up back there, seven yards behind the line of scrimmage turned into a bit of Adventure Adventure is the operative word.
And that ball is good.
It so tackle and three more points for Lassiter, Trojans, thirty seven to nothing 30-yard field, goal that time and there's someone right there is going to try to find some answers in three minutes and 55 seconds is going to also use the next 355 to come up with some short-term answers.
All right, let's take a look at the resume of the Hillgrove Hawks and it was a young football program, but they've had some success.
Only have six year in football there the And 458 champions last year going 11.
And one went to the state quarters two years ago.
They made the playoffs in their second full season and they've never won less than seven games and that is an impressive body of work right off the bat.
And that's what coach Ironside wanted to do.
When he came over from Campbell, he wanted to build a program.
He was going to play freshman, it was going to play sophomores to try to give them this experience and build this program from the ground up and he has been really complimentary.
How about how the he'll grow Community has started from the ground up basically and created this program and created all of this energy.
As we take a look at the Lassiter scoring drive.
One more time, my friends at tcsg learn more earn, more six plays 19 yards, the 30-yard field goal took up two minutes and 40 seconds.
Good.
Look at Josh Danforth.
Danforth known for his boxing skills.
We'll talk about boxing.
I mean, didn't you come up with some YouTube videos of it?
It's awesome.
And it was a pretty impressive stuff move, the kick return b, a bond Simmons & Sons will take it to the 35 to 36 yard line.
You know, you got 31 yard return, you gotta think that Hillgrove is done a good job getting themselves, good field position, right chest.
It just goes all for naught when they line up and take the snap.
And then the pressure, the pressure has been Lassiter.
Has been sending pressure.
I've counted five different guys.
In the backfield touching Thompson, the quarterback for Hillgrove and they'll bring them from all different angles.
They'll do a bunch of stunts, bringing linebackers off the edge and the generate come again.
A lot of thought for Thompson and Bagley brought down quickly.
That was moan Yang.
Once again, we talked about just the pressure and the push that Lassiter's getting back their solid ankle tackle that time by mon Yang on Bagley, Bagley, not able to get anything going offensive ly, So Yang's had a pretty nice night so far for the Trojans defensively, little confusing, and the offensive line of Lassiter or I've Hillgrove on second down and looking to throw and then complete that pass was intended for Marcus White and complete once again, Josh Danforth coming up from his linebacker position.
Lined up wide outside the left and to give another look for Thompson and something else to think about.
And considering that Danforth has been one of those Five Guys who's created these numbers for 4414 for 37 yards, completely 28 percent of his passes.
It carries for 23 yards.
When Thompson has tried to create something for he'll go, he looks like when he does run the ball, he creates something positive.
Right is just a pass.
Rush is just interrupting everything.
He's trying to do through the air.
Third down, looking the throw again.
There's the pressure again and they got on Yang was in there.
Looks like I'm on was there as well?
Because John was in there or a John let's take a look at more pressure from Lassiter will suit pressure up the middle causing him to think there's poori, John Thompson can of get out of the pocket, Danforth down low, Corey John, Moe, niang, all in there, ball ends up at the 30 so it's Fourth and 15 them to look at Cory.
John, well, it's been a busy night so far for Reed Hall, sophomore punter.
Has last week at 32.
Take it on offense again, Jenkins back deep field for the first move midfield, for his tackle there by Holger yard return.
Why there's chickens with some Nifty moves, John Nelson to his left is going to find the sidelines and cut it back inside.
Hillgrove, can end up on top of it once again, great field position for Lassiter down to the 43 yard line.
Plenty of time for their offense.
A minute, 55 is we've got to he'll go player down.
Yeah.
so, number 13, Devin night.
All right, all right, here's the Hillgrove.
Schedule for say, open with a win.
Over West Lake.
Marietta is next on the road then Campbell followed by a home game at Pebblebrook.
North Cobb Kennesaw Mountain Harrison.
Next stretch is going to be a tough one for Hillgrove.
Then they close with two at home against South Common McEachern.
We had the Hillgrove McEachern game on football Fridays, last year.
And I think it was probably the signature win for the program for Coach Ironside McEachern at the time was top-ranked.
Hillgrove came in here.
Got the win.
So they're going to finish up the regular season in the new region schedule, are going to finish it down here against McEachern one more time.
Well, you've got to like the job at coach Ironside is done at Hillgrove.
I know tonight is not really worked out to where they wanted to do, but you take a program and he's a program Builder and he and he has throughout his his coaching career.
And now, taking what he's done in the job at he'll grow In from scratch and winning.
No less than seven games in the past.
Six years that says that the coaching the the program is solid.
But you also got to think the gene pools pretty good too.
No question about that.
You talk about what coach Ironsides been able to do from Louisiana to Tennessee to here in Georgia has done a whole lot All right, be sure to catch.
Jen Javi on the Birch Show as she kicks off.

coaches early on, in their senior season and now, the consists come.
Well last week, we saw the nation's number one.
Crude, Robert, Kim, do Chi.
And we spent some time with the kid.
That's on his way to Clemson.
They don't care for his game last year, and they'll great team.
And we came out strong and just like this with absolute, that's what we're going to do is give me a great fighting on.
The kitchen is a great football team and we're practicing a lot from trying to be the best that we can be.
So we're trying to go ahead and win, you know, said this about you Robert, you get it and you know, with your family and Africa, your mom and all that and how you guys were able to work.
Make it work.
Tell us a little bit about the process for you guys and them going to games and watch any place when my dad comes every game, and my mom watching me And then does everything she can to do see her son.
But, you know, it's great, man.
My mom always stay in touch, we Skype.
You know, we do what we can to talk to each other.
We text, we on the phone all the time.
She knows a good process man, just for the reason, why, and she does pieces last year, she watched her Championship.
Yes, sir.
Of course.
So you on the internet, what have you the process for you?
Now, because I had all, this is over with recruiting and all that and being a top recruits in the country.
Yeah, well I try to stay grounded, some say humble as I can but you know, the great thing man.
Just I'm happy that all these sites and people feel that way about me and I mean I've been working hard and just hard work pays off.
So if we're a candied, she would to say to be a mentor to young.
People are going to quote, go down this world that you groaning?
What would you tell him now about the recruiting experience.
Also, a number one, on a charge, always, stay humble and feel grounded and I'll always give you go to God.
And, you know, because he was keeping on doing better things in life, you know?
And just don't ever let it get your head and and keep listen to your coaches and people, you know, him before this starts, you know, I'm saying he's Hard to trust people, man, when it starts.
So you got to got to look for who's real.
You know, I really stay humble and grounded and don't ever let it get to your head.
Said this about, you two once in a lifetime working, the guy who impacts not only on the offensive side, but also on the defense is not to a once-in-a-lifetime guy.
You thought about that, you know, just the physical, you attribute to him.
Unless what?
Well I really thought about it a lot but you know everybody says a man is it says big deal, but I try not to think about it as much.
So good luck to you.
Thank you sir.
And of course, Kim D. She had a dazzling day season debut last week at the Georgia Dome in tonight.
Grayson's playing Miami Central, the 6th ranked team in the country, depending on the poll.
So, the schedule doesn't get any easier for grace and having survived 31:12 last week.
All right, let's see what's coming up at half-time, Mark, Harmon.
Thanks John.

Of course, they're still tending to Devin night.
The injured player for the Hillgrove Hawks.
And obviously, we're not going to speculate on anything going on down there, on the field are going to take ultimate and utmost care when it comes to taking care of the athletes.
And obviously, a lot of concern on the Hillgrove side, then the Lassiter players showing their respect as well, by taking a knee on the near sideline.
Always tough, especially when you're dealing with 14 to 17 year old kids.
Now, you talk about what's been going on with, with Hillgrove.
It's been a tremendous 37 points that they've scored in almost 24 minutes.
And, you know, he'll Groves trying to fight back and fight back and fight back and get into this game.
And it comes to a situation like this, where everything stops and you understand what's truly important when it comes to your friends, your teammates, your community, and all this kind of stuff with a Like this.
All right let's go to break.
Lester up.
Thirty seven to nothing here at the Battle of the big chicken.

Thanks very much for coming on with us.
Sure, thanks for having me.
I appreciate it.
Tell us a little bit of what's going on.
If Hill, Grove High School, this Days as you kick off another school year.
Sure we are off to a great start, this school year.
Last year, we were School of Excellence but that's in the past for us we already have had a lot of success this school year with our volleyball and softball programs and academically we're doing very well.
ACT scores went up.
A full point, SAT scores are up as well.
Our AP pass rate went up, 60 points.
So we have a lot to be proud of and a lot to build on for the future.
You know, and it's just a, it's a young school basically.
I mean, you're just in your sixth year up there.
Well, we're actually starting our seventh year but you know, in our mind there's no excuses for For not doing well, whether we're a new school or a veteran School, we're going to do the very best that we can, and we're off to a good start, lot of parents support and absolutely great, faculty great admin, team and wonderful kids.
As you look down the road into the future, what are some of the things you'd like to see happen at Hillsborough High School?
Well, we've had some individual state champs and we played four state championships in two different sports, baseball, and girls basketball.
We'd love to get that team state championship.
Athletically academically, we want to continue to improve and continue the amount number of our kids that are scoring very high in the SAT and AP exam.
All right, it's time to play.
Are You Smarter than your students?
We've got a question from the day in Georgia history, history project would, I do the reach in there, got a question, let's see what you have here.
That's your suit.
Me up to go play.
Okay.
Nothing that okay.
Alright August 29th 1945 which 15 year old track star was the first athlete to win back the back in the 100-meter dash Olympic gold.
Medals was at wyomia tyus was a Gwen, Torrance was as easy as McGuire or was it Martha Hudson?
Hmm, I believe it was a tyus that correct, that's absolutely right.
You got the Bell going for you, are smarter than your students.
I don't know about that.
We're coming on with his boxers and I hope that the player out there that was injured is okay.
They've just taken them off a little bit.
Yes sir, he's a great young man.
Obviously I'm not a doctor but everything was moving but they're just taking a precaution.
And that's really the most important thing because, you know, despite the game and what the scores are everything, you want all the kids to come out of there, feeling healthy, being healthy.
And I think we've learned a lot about safety for Athletes and we take every precaution and we don't take any risk whatsoever.
And and the the care they get from the doctors and the trainer's is just unbelievable.
We have an outstanding relationship with PT Solutions, and Leah, Gates is our trainer, and she just takes care of those kids like her around, so, I couldn't ask for better.
We'll listen.
Thanks for the sorry.
For coming on, what's that's good news.

It more student-friendly redone the cafeteria and probably the one of the better things that we have on campus is a performing arts, building, where our band Orchestra and Chorus for the first time in a long time, maybe even the first time in last in history, that will be able to have concerts that are banned or from current course to be able to have on our campus.
We're going to hear from your band and just as A second, but they're going big.
Big places this year.
They are, they're always very fortunate.

Take it away.
Fellas thank you very much Mark Harmon and we hope to have a little bit more of a competitive second half as Lassiter's up 37 and nothing.
And we'll kick things off.
Told me, leather for the second half and just a few right here on the great GPB Sports.

When Mom got sick, my daughter engaged already, I felt sort of stuck.
I went to SunTrust.
I just wanted to talk to someone and they listen helped me see options.
I didn't know I had now, I'm moving forward.
So I can focus on what's really important.
I'm better off than I thought at SunTrust, we're here to help you find the answers you're looking for.
This is my baby girl that that's why we start every conversation with.
How can we help you?
Hey, welcome back to McEachern High School, 37, and nothing Lassiter.
And first game of the battle of the big chicken and Johnny was a dominant first half for the Lassiter Trojan.
You are not kidding, dominant performance for the Lassiter Trojans.
And you talk about Eddie prince prince had a great first half going on.
I think it was 15 of his first 18 passes that you shove the short passing game for Lasseter working and then the great athletes in the depth of Lassiter showing a lot of different receivers, touch the ball and Eddie Prince had a great first half.
Shows right there on the scoreboard, plus taking advantage of opportunities of the take a look at the first half highlights and you look at the first half and how it went down.
You see early on, there's the pick off of Thompson and it's running all the way back 72 yards for the score to get Lassiter on the board early.
And then you see the running game, take over ez6 there for laying Jackman, there's the bad snap and the punter for Hillgrove kind of caught in the in betweens, which created a short field, to plays seven yards, all Josh Danforth.
With the one-yard plunge right there.
And then Prince gets to work.
Just a little screen right there.
Picking them up and put them down.
It's really police.
No need to call the police for wine because he goes into the end zone for another score.
Prince, 15 of 18 to 12 and the two touchdowns.
And here's the second touchdown, Blake Wilson 37 nothing at the break let's send it downstairs to Raven with Coach Ironsides Raven.
Hey, thanks guys.
Coach disappointing.
First, half of, what are you going to try to do in the second half?
Well, we talked about with the It's just we got to focus and try to find some good do something and hopefully find something on film that we can say.
You know, we got better here.
Obviously there's a lot for us to correct.
But want to tell the kids are the same kids that we enjoyed and loved and said, her great players.
We just one of those things night will get better work harder and do and I think they'll fight for us.
Coach, can you talk about Devon nights status?
I think he's got hit and he was going in and out of Consciousness had feeling and all his extremities.
I think he'll be fine, they're taking him to hospital to check.
You will be praying for him and caused parents and check on him here after the game.
Thanks so much for talking to thank you back to you guys that is marvelous news about Devon night.
We take a look at our first half stats Jon Nelson.
Look at the right-hand column 15 plus 2 12 equals to 2710 first downs, 24, and Hillgrove had time of possession.
They were up 3:52 at one point in zap, 12 and a half to 1001 penalties.
Obviously 5465.
The one turnover was the interception return for a score but once again, the word we've associated, This game so far in Lassiter, dominating in their your numbers to prove it.
A Trojan domination over the hill Grail.
Hawks in the first game of our doubleheader here, on GPB Sports, at the Battle of the big chicken and and here's our upcoming schedule of games.
Starting next week at the Fortress.
Aw, against the Centennial night.
Then on September 14th, it's Norcross at North Gwinnett.
September 21st, love it, and st. Pius first Time those two teams have played since 1983 the last year.
George Maloof was a head coach.
Johns Creek and Chattahoochee.
Changing the page Westminster GAC, we got two games at Memorial Stadium.
Offered Memorial Tucker, Southwest DeKalb MLK, and Stevenson Carrollton, and Sandy Creek down in Tyrone at the battlefield and finishing up the regular season, North Gwinnett and Peachtree Ridge.
We had that game in the last game of the regular season last year, so we'll be a good finish to the regular season John Wilkinson.
Well, it's another great season of Georgia traveler and its new time Sundays at 7 p.m. on GPB watched David Zale ski in the crew, as they uncover more of the Hidden Georgia and maybe across the state are around the corner, Georgia traveler.
Now at a new time, Sunday to 7 p.m. followed by Georgia Outdoors, only on GPB and we talked about the schedule that's coming up on football.
Fridays after this game is done, the home team.
McEachern gets their home game to take on the Walton Raiders first time that we can think of in modern memory that a team has played the state champ and the runner-up.
Yup.
There it is.
Coming up next Battle of region.
6 vs region for you, play the top team, you play the runner-up from last year and that's going to be the matchup coming up next.
After this one is completed here on the double header here at the Battle of the big chicken and Cantrell stadium football.
Friday's is back on the great GPB.
So we get set this kick off the second half Market.
Here's the web game kick off at 7:30 here on Jeep on gpb.org/sports.
That's a huge on reaching you, look at Northside Warner Robins and what Kevin Kinsler has been doing out of region, 25A.
Now, what they've done, the traditional power under Conrad Nix going to Flowery Branch to take on the Falcons there, so that's a tremendous ball game.
You can catch that on.
Bbb.org you can watch both of these Jordan Adams kicking off and it's the 19, that's where Lassiter will take over.
As really police with a nice return.
What else can we police do?
John Nelson.
Police has done a lot of stuff, and right now, it looks like we got a running clock.
We have a continuous clock here.
Third quarter with raster.
37 points.
And so number seven, don't need to be lucky tonight.
That's how you see him lead Lassiter back out and there's a first half and that's the first half to have heard from a few 11:42 and to the short controlled passing game has created opportunities long and that's what jet bar.
One has been looking for in this offense and impressive, first half for Lane Jackman on the carry a couple of yards and that's about it.
He's wrong.
Talk about who Football players are Jackman's favorite football player and other New England Patriot which seems to be the way of the Lassiter, Trojans.
Danny Woodhead likes it.
He was a player who almost didn't make it into the league and now that he's an impact player, and we've seen what Jackman's been able to do for Lassiter tonight, Jackman's.
Grab them Danny Woodhead in them.
Don't you think?
Here's the pressure and the pressure that time put on by Peyton Hewitt.
And you saw that friends was trying to continue to roll the pocket, right?
Roll the pocket, right?
Well, the pocket right to try to give himself more time to do, all the check downs.
And he had his opportunity there in and out of the hands of Quincy Purdue incomplete.
Gortat coach iron son.
Talking about getting something positive going in the second half.
I think the Hillgrove defense is taking out the heart, right now.
Now they've got Lassiter in a third and long and Friends steps up and fires and that's Quincy Purdue and will be short of the first down brought down by Justin Haney and it'll bring up a fourth down for the Trojan.
Fourth and short, fourth and short and princes staying out and now they're gonna bring in special teams looks like after looking at the sidelines for a second and a half or so it lasts.
Her is going to go ahead and punt.
Cardinal, do the honors.
Harden's had an adventurous night so far.
The early play of the Year from the first half off of the extra point attempt.
And even though didn't count on a penalty, we still think it's are the leader in the clubhouse for the play of the year.
No question.
big poop by Harden fair catch called Fair catch called my old Road bumps.
Let's see, what kind of positive.
He'll go can do on offense, Troy Thompson, he had struggled from the air but he's been able to get some good yardage on the ground so far for the Hillgrove Hawks.
Once again, we talked about messages Raven caught up with Coach Ironside at the half.
Its this is a learning experience.
We talked about measuring sticks.
We talked about learning experiences and this is going to be one.
How do you respond in a situation like this?
Where the first half was all uphill was all downhill for Lassiter.
Only the one turnover, but you ran into a buzz saw in this offense and then you had the one bad snap which created a short field.
Then you have the one turnover and you're down 37, how do you build from here?
That's the For the second hand and Bagley has nowhere to go back to my lose.
Yardage Danforth involved, as was Yang.
And you know I talk about the Lassiter defense.
They've done a good job of neutralizing, Evan engram because we thought he would be a big factor in the game, right?
Here's your hand off, brought up the middle and you see all those bodies, just clogging the middle and three of them.
End up around Bagley, and Bagley is not like Kenyan Drake, who they had last year Kenyan Drake.
You can force him up the middle.
This is what coach Ironside said, force him up the middle, but bagley's not a pound, or by Design and that pass intended for Evan engram and it's picked off Lewandowski with the pick 24.
Patrick Lewandowski is senior.
He earned his starting spot.
Simply by being one of the hardest workers on the team as a senior.
He's a starter.
You see, the pass right at the middle in and out of the hands Ingram trying to control it Lewandowski right there.
Convenient, great.
Grab great presence right there.
Now you see the three red shirt around, Ingram there.
They have done a great job as you take a look at the 510 160 pounds, senior, Patrick Lewandowski.
First game of the year gets a pick and there is a pic on Simmons, gives down to East Carolina this year and boy, what a big momentum break for Hillgrove.
There's a huge positive play for them.
Trevon Simmons and Tulane, do Cleveland off of that.
One side Simmons, you see, prims looking the whole time, trying to force it in Simmons cuts, Right in front of the receiver Juwan Dickey, tries to cut it inside.
Inside the 20 down inside the 5 looks like They're going to mark it, at least he was out of Bounds at the seven or eight.
We got a penalty flag, a block in the back and it's going to be brought back from the 7-yard 1447 yard return by Trayvon Simmons.
510 165 pound senior.
Finally, the old-growth fans who made the trip something to cheer about All right.
Let's go behind the play.
You'll see trying to do a little cut on the inside and right.
There looks like, okay, there it is.
Against you on Dickie to knock him out of the play.
So since Deke didn't have a clear sight line, I was Cameron Cowell cholesky, you got tagged.
So convalesce key tags Juwan Dickey and they move it 10 yards back.
But once again, field position for Hillgrove and see if I can put some points on the board.
I passed by Thompson.
Thompson leads a pacifier to the end zone.
Almost intercepted intended for Evan engram.
You can see that now that Hill goes trying to get Ingram involved to try to Spring him.
He had only two catches last week against Westlake, I think that the Lions pretty much had the same approach that Lassiter's having that you see the roll out here by Thompson looking and trying to go into the little Zone.
He throws a bit of a slider low and away.
and zip at the feet of everything, I'm almost ended up the third playing a role that would have been an interception Go Giants.
I'd want some to hurry.
The remain short, getting into this formation will get set in time.
Or is it going to be a penalty?
Ingram and motion and get the playoff.
And again, going forward and gets a first down inside the 10 yard line, brought down by the house key.
That's the first catch of the game rather than Ingram is going to be to your left of your screen.
A watch the hand right there, just grab it Juggalo, one's beautiful, grabs it in there.
Let's take another look.
Get it, big right hand sticking out, one juggle catch brings it in clay Rowell and on the tackle as well.
So its first and goal for Hillgrove, they try to break through the End Zone on the scoreboard here, early in the first half and Thompson up the middle on.
The keeper will get to the for maybe the three before being brought down.
Now some Tipper starting to Flair to your penis is Will understandable, considering that's on the scoreboard.
Dan force was involved there.
Expect any kind of scuffle going on.
You might see big number 11, CJ, come on now.
The game replacing the whole acquire the middle.
So they're swapping out 511 to 40 in 511 299 Outlet co-coach Ironside can get some points in second and goal from the from the three.
That's Bagley, and Bagley will be well, short brand to a wall.
A Trojans that time Danforth.
Again with the ankle tackle, almost forced the ball loose.
Now, look at the surge once again, look for 11 in Scarlet.
Right off of the edge, big hit on facts, not the ball.
Loose the, in fact, he did by Bagley.
That's a Danforth diving back after it once again.
Power.
I formation power.
Elephant T formation.
Yeah.
Almost an old T formation.
You see in the old NFL films and I roll out.
By Thompson, he's looking for income instead, it's a touchdown.
But for Justin haini haini gets the Hawks on the board.
37.
Six.
And that's got to be a, welcome relief for this hill Grove offense.
Here's a replay.
Once again, rolling out to your left of the screen just a little out gets right to the corner of the end zone.
Easy up.
6-points on the baord.
The first of the day for Hillgrove.
You replay brought to you, by TS tcsg, learn more earn more.
The extra point is good and a good positive.
Offensive play by the Hillgrove Hawks as they get on the scoreboard.
It's now thirty seven to nothing and they're happy.
Fox are happy at a touchdown pass.
It's 37, 27.

And we're back on a hot humid night at McEachern High School game.
1 of the battle of the big chicken Lassiter up.
37 7.
The Hillgrove hawks just scored on a Justin Haney.
Catch from Troy Thompson.
So, coach Ironsides.
First time I see him smile tonight or at least attempt to smile.
Well, and once again, we'll talk about learning experiences and that's what this is.
And here's our scoring Drive brought To Us by our friends at tcsg or more.
It's off the clock first points on the board for Hillgrove.
And once again, how do you build from here?
Okay, you've got it.
Got your first seven on the board.
How do you build from here?
That's the big question.
The rest of the night, and police will take it in the end zone and we're going out.
It's a to the tongue.
You threw the interception is the last possession by offensive possession by last of they're forcing that throw-in.
Now, I get the chance to redeem himself and again, the Lassiter offense is moved well throughout the game.
We saw those first half stats 15 of 18 but then we've also seen what Eddie Prince needs to work on this on looked straight at his receiver didn't look him off and it created the Church created the short field which created the seven points for Hillgrove.
So let's see if Prince treats this as a learning experience.
This group, this drive out, kind of curious to see how this Hillgrove defense response now that the offense is put some points on the board.
And to give us a Shaheed, we should, he try and grab a big number 75 jailen Reed.
Brings them down.
5 10 to 50 jailen.
Reed, playing nose guard in this for Three that he's got running to the right and you'll see just all the traffic great Pursuit and then look at the tackle from behind by jailing, read from or game of pure want to out there about jailen.
Reed brings up second.
Second down and long prayers looking to throw.
No, he hands it off for shovel pass the lane Jackman and Jaclyn and gets positive yards gets too short of 35 yard line, but a 5-yard gain.
Was it delayed?
Write it you'll see sometimes where the quarterback will wait until the last second men handed So watch right here.
Looking looking in the no draw, play that hole opens up Jack and gets the hand goes right up the middle liver.
Grayson 21, Miami Central 3 at halftime so the Rams Fans are happy on battle between two of the top teams in the country is cringe throat and completes at the Jackman for a first down before.
He's brought down, Marcus Bailey on the tackle, once again, you're seeing how the offense works at settle into his own, find a pocket, find a hole sit and that's what happened on that particular.
Passed away.
That was Bleak Wilson.
I'm sorry with the catch.
And now Joe on Dicky and Dicky uses his speed to get outside.
And it's across the 40 to about the 41 yard line had to get through the 42 to get the first down.
And look at this.
No-huddle going on by Lassiter.
Getting back into Rhythm.
Now looking at numbers at the point of attack up topics three on two I'll stop play got a timeout called Somewhere timeout.
Looks like by Hillgrove initially, haven't gotten the signal yet.
It looks like it's a timeout by Hillgrove or they're going to wave it off officials initially thought that there was going to be a time out there.
You change your mind to take it back, I guess you can.
Then the first time I've heard of that, well, now Lassiter's offense back in Rhythm and put past the police and police catches, but loses yardage, as he falls down about a five-yard loss, and I'll bring up fourth down, police had to turn around and roll over to try to catch the pass and create something.
But in the process of trying to turn and catch, And plant all at the same time, he ended up losing his losing the handle on it.
So now we've got a third down and 6.
I'm sorry, it's still third down.
Prince crashing pass again to lean Jackman, and Jacqueline the shore, the first down.
And it'll be a no punt the ball.
We've hardened will do the honors.
So another stop that time by Hillgrove, met another positive play on defense.
That's once again, it's all about building blocks in a game like this, where you're down 30 with four and a half to go in the third once again, after this game, it's McEachern.
The host school here, the Battle of big chicken, the I-75 East-West top Showdown are going to take on all the game.
A little pressure in the fair catch being caught.
I'm Marcus white pretty yard kick so Hillgrove on their last offense of possession.
God touched down.
Let's seems of given some wife tonight team.
That's in.
That's exactly right.
Once again, you've got these, you gotta stop on defense.
You've got a score on offense, and I'll see what we can do with that.
Work our way down the field, we've had field position, we've got opportunities.
Now, let's see how they can handle the Lassiter pressure, which is really given Thompson headaches all night long.
Thompson can do this.
Go around often.
Sneaking up and almost intercepted.
That's Marcus White and you look at Ryan.
Gill day 43 on this particular play.
He kind of saw what was happening working here, right?
Right there.
Just over Gil days, outstretched arm.
He was looking for the interception and to return it all the way the other way.
So he had that thing sniffed out from the beginning, love how Josh Danforth was involved in that tackle.
Mothers looking for a quick hitter and completes a plastic Midfield into the 49 yard line before he's brought down.
And once again, Dan Fork, blitzing from the right of your screen creates a whole Ingram sits in that hole catches, it creates a first down opportunity for Hillgrove at the 49 of Lassiter.
So we talked about Rhythm and that's where they're going right now.
Well it's good to see.
They're getting Evan engram involved in the offense.
He was he was Incognito in the first half.
It's the second catch of the bank, the Ole Miss Ole Miss rebel.
63 205.
I'm saying the throw Ingham again on the coverage is Zaxby's talked about Evan engram.
Models models himself after Tony Gonzalez out there.
This one I don't think touchdown Tony could have even grabbed flown behind him.
And he tried to spin and contort and plant and go all at the same time.
You know?
I'm interested this that his favorite player athlete was Craig krenzel.
Former quarterback at Ohio State.
Yeah.
Buyers when you see every day, that's not warn.
You see every day.
And, of course, krenzel won a national championship for the park guys, in 2002 was at Miami and over time as the overtime against the canes are you are correct.
So they don't ask Miami what they thought about that over time.
That was Bagley on the carry.
I'm sorry, it's alright Montgomery on the carry You get the cup.
No huddle for Hillgrove.
Improved passing numbers, 7 and 21 for 68 yards and 21 yards on the ground for the senior quarterback for Hillgrove, but 70% completions last week a lot tougher this week behind Ingram, then complete James Rowe was there on the coverage.
There is a flag So twice, Ingram has had the ball thrown to him and both times in this era, way, off Target in this drive.
Let's see what the discussion is.
Looks like it's on Hillgrove, procedure on Hillgrove wasn't the first half for Hillgrove when they finally got something rolling, he would shoot themselves in the flood.
that tough night for Troy Thompson, he's had pressure flying all around it from All sides bring up fourth and seven is Will decline the penalty Thompson last week had 280 yards and passing offense alone.
And that last statistic we had 90 total yards for him this week against the Lassiter defense, six penalties, on the fox Costing them, 75 yards.
And timeout called Lassiter, only had 10 on the field, trying to do my math, real quick 5 and 5.
Looks like 10 fake it right here.
Well, here's another signature, GPB original production along with tonight's broadcast, be sure to catch gpb's Mei Mei.

Ian.
John Walker's and John Nelson, Rayven tirado, reading you.
And I look on the light rail Stadium, third quarter.
It's like the coach Ironsides changed his mind.
He's got the offense out there on fourth down.
Why not gamble when you're down by 30 boy and there's a pass and block makes the hatch.
so, catch my, oh, my There's a penalty flag down.
Let's see if that's pass interference in the play.
Will stand Chris Murphy on the coverage.
But Omar black, this is a kid that went to a underclassmen combined and it's the interference call the last year.
He went to a national underclassmen combine in Lexington, Kentucky and turned out to be the overall in VP just throw it up, jump, all see what happens.
Great concentration by Black by reaching back over the Fence it back to come down with it inside the 20, but they'll take the catch.
Won't worry about the penalty.
Keep going inside the red zone for for Hillgrove.
I tell you the Hillgrove Hawks needed, something like that.
Omar black 29, yard reception by the junior.
You made a name for himself at that combined in Lexington and that catch, there is a highlight film to go on his resume tape.
First and ten trips in the upper side of your screen here today.
And for the flag down hits, the 10-yard line.
Looks like it's in the area of holding and it is a hold against Hillgrove.
But that's what pressure does pressure causes you to do things.
You wouldn't normally do.
Josh Danforth, just wreaking havoc all night long in the backfield for Hillgrove and here's another example of that coming from the left of your screen staring, right at him.
Hey jumping up Thompson has to create and there's your hold right here.
Home screen as Thompson gets down to about the 10 yard line but that's going to go back.
It's going to go backwards and it's going to be another long situation for Hillgrove.
For the good thing is it's first down.
The only problem is its first in a long way, up to get down to the 7-yard line for a first down.
Trips to the bottom of the screen.
No double double the bottom of the screen and Thompson firing complete, that's Evan, engram in Ingram out of bounds, jamesrowe on the coverage, forced them out of bounds or along with Robert Dowling and saw the respect that Dowling and Road gave Ingram on that play didn't want Ingram to get behind them.
So they let him have the out route, which was good enough for a six or a seven yard gain.
They'll keep everything in front of them.
make sure that there's nothing that's going to go wrong for big yardage and another seven points, Second and 15.
Here Comes Lassiter and Sack.
And who else?
Josh Josh Danforth coming in free and drops down?
Troy Thompson?
So what they had on the pass play that gave up let's just watch 11 on 11 by that.
I mean, the jersey numbers, not necessarily both sides of the football, top of your screen, found a hole left guard, left tackle, and just met Thompson and planted him into the Astra turn and talk about timing it.
Perfect didn't break stride.
No, third and long for Hillgrove.
Here they come again and they dump it off, that's Derek Evans and Evans gets close to the first down before being chased.
Out of bounds inside the 15, he'll be well short of the first down.
The fourth down and ate another decision.
For he'll grow, but it doesn't look like it's much of a decision.
Looks like Thompson in the offense or staying out on the field again for another shot of the fourth down.
Conversion.
There is a flag.
Personal foul against Lassiter and that should give them a first down, right?
I'll tack that on.
Should be half the distance and see if we can pick it up.
Coach Iranians are going to like that Loop screen right there.
And then out of bounds and then little roughhousing, and she got out of bounds and that was the flag right there, that's Dowling.
The senior that does that.
So its first and goal low snap Thompson handles and our run with it.
Got some real estate up and over and loses the football, but the ground comes from the hood.
I'll call him down at the one-yard line.
Thompson's been able to run the ball, he's been able to get some good yardage.
See it again we'll be running to your right.
That's it back inside the right they're going right at the ankles down at the one you saw the ball squirt free and that is right on the borderline Thompson scores on the quarterback.
Sneak 37:13 and Hillgrove staging.
A little mini come back, making this a little interesting.
They did this last week, I guess Westlake.
This replay brought to you by tcsg learn more earn more.
Once again, wellstone re gets into the endzone, Danforth draped, around him.
The Thompson gets into the endzone to go for the point.
After we're 43 seconds to go here in the third, Andrew gone, tank tax on a point, thirty seven to 14.
So you got to like, John, how Hillgrove it's come out of the second half got he's got a couple of defensive stops and they have led the Point and that once again, we talked about learning experiences and what do you do with it?
Okay, you're down by a large margin at the half.
How do you respond?
We've seen how they respond coaching staff challenge them inside.
Remember the top that Raven tirado had with Coach Ironside, we talk about learning experiences and all this kind of stuff.
And we've seen the defense step up for Hillgrove.
We've seen Thompson step up and with the offense has two scores on the board.
Another down 23, as we get toward the end of the third quarter, but coach, I Insides got to love the effort by his troops in the second half, not giving up push you expect that with 14 to 17 year old kids, they're going to have to and they're going to give you all throughout the game no matter what the score is.
So we'll see any print one more time about.
43 seconds.
Left to go in the fourth quarter.
Early, third quarter.
See what no drug does here.
If they're just going to hit another couch, to try to keep it out of the hands of deep backs for Lassiter or if they're going to try to do something else.
With police and Jenkins are back deep.
That'll be the end zone and so Lassiter will get it at the 20 as we head down to Raven with the Lassiter cheerleaders.
Hey guys, were here with the last other cheerleaders.
Let me hear it, girl.
And we're here with Captain Rachel.
Rachel tell me how important being out here and cheer for these guys is, well, we're really proud of our football players.
They're awesome and grain they work so hard.
So we want to be here for them for everything, and we're hoping to make it stay this year so.
Well, you heard our guys are trying to make that state run back to you guys and we wish them all the luck in the world and stay run would be nice for this Lassiter football team.
There's a give up the middle couple of yards there by Lane.
See, Jack been getting a lot of work and it's not just between the tackles we song, get the touchdown, off the edge.
And you see, friends trying to figure out how much is on the clock and whether or not they're going to get one more often.
For the end of the quarter, looks like they're going to give it a shot and not just sit on it.
Bad snap with friends handles it fine points of police, I lose the last night senior bring us to the end of the third quarter.
Hey friends, he's been pretty good so far but Troy Thompson has found his Spark.
but touchdowns there as we head to the fourth quarter and a 37, 214 Lassiter lead, Broadcast of this program is made possible in part by the following.

The Blue Moon Over McEachern, High School.
37-14 Lassiter, leading Hillgrove.
As we start, the fourth quarter and game.
One of our Battle of the big chicken here on the great GPB.
So, what's next, after this one's done, you got the home team taking on the Walton.
Raiders McEachern High School taking on the Walton, Raiders should be an excellent ballgame, some great numbers, Freddie, Prinze Of 24 for 248 yards.
Two touchdowns.
And out of the shotgun on Third and long game, chased and gets lost in the mix.
JT Adams comes up with it.
And this is really paying attention, to your surroundings, friends rolling, get some pressure, bad it up in the air.
JT Adams comes down with it.
Looked like it was on the hands of police knocked up into the air.
Taking Adams comes down with it and now its first and ten at the 20.
We're saying you can you just did JT Adams.
With the interception for Hillgrove.
Look at this, we got the time of possession 528.
They had it for the open 12 minutes in the first half in the third quarter, just a little over five Lassiter to get some sounds.
I guess it's what you do with it.
Is that pass incomplete for Evan engram, he was wide open in the end zone.
Thompson was looking at Ingram the whole time, they had him on the Fly route.
This little at least a little post once again, middle of the field museum, looking the whole time and it was looked like it was deflected a little bit.
Ended up at the feet of Evan engram.
Ingram starting to get open.
And now we're starting to see maybe tips on the top of your screen Danforth was in there.
Come on.
And what's this?
This is a coverage sack, you see Thompson trying to create.
And then you see c.j.
am on get out of the grasp of the Hillgrove offensive lineman and make the sack looks like Cody Collins.
Grab his jersey, they're all the way back to the 30 yard line.
So they got 19 yards to go on third down.
You said this a lot, third and long for Hillgrove again, pressure up the meadow, and that's again, his second sack in a row.
So to borrow a line from guilt, Arie Mama, there goes that.
Am on again.
511 to 40 and he's having himself a good possession here.
They'll be a three and out after I Crush her up the middle, once again just pressure from all angles.
They're beating the pressure up, the middle off, guard tackle.
Well, I'm jamot ends up with Thompson on the ground, Reed hall.
Now hunting from his from Midfield, you know, and I was a wasted opportunity for Hillgrove having the ball.
At their 21-yard line, it turns out to be a three and out loss of 16 on the that series of downs for Hillgrove.
Little Pooch punt stop at the 34 yard line.
And that's about it.
Let's head downstairs to Raven.
Hey guys, last it has a very special player on their team is things, Peter brignac.
He's number 8, you can catch him on special teams and even at running back.
What's so special?
What's so special about this good?
Is that he's deaf.
He even has his own special language with his coach and even has one A Sign Language lady that he has out here signing to him during the games.
It's You need story back to you guys.
It's an inspirational story Raven.
You know we're talking to the to koecher went on Thursday.
We were talking about Peter brignac and you know, the first thing I was thinking about there been a precedent before other deaf player, actually excelling in football and it came to me.
Kenny Walker, who in the late eighties you and I remember, John for Nebraska, right?
Was a starting to ffensive lineman even had spent some time with the Denver Broncos in the NFL.
As police gets the carry will pick up a bow.
About five yards before being brought down by to endow Cleveland the first time we we've mentioned mr. Cleveland's name, the senior who's heading to Georgia Tech and getting back to brignac broke up.
A couple of kids are starting to learn American Sign Language and are also starting to learn the system that coach, that is coach Gaines has and it's not quite true ASL, but they've kind of come up with their own hand signals.
And he's got a cochlear implant than without that kind of an 80s.
He's fairly death that he can hear tones, but to have someone like brignac there on the sidelines.
He The hit and according to coach Roland, TC, please Sonny on the sweep and delando cleaning, please and brings him down before getting a first down, getting the 35-yard line is break.
Now you see him right there?
He's a coach Mitzi part literally.
It's one of the teachers at Lassiter's Mitzi Park and the color Coach Park and she's the one who translates and then there's coach gains his position.
Coach you up some translate, he can hear Bones, but it's really interesting to see and it's it wants you to talk about it being an inspiration.
It's a really cool story.
The Lasser First, and Ten police get a lot of work on this possession, gets helicopter by Hillgrove looks like I was Grant Bradley Chum Bradley Chubb, Junior 63 225 pounds.
His brother plays for Wake Forest where you see the handoff coming out once again.
There's pressure and great contact from The Blind Side to knock him off his Feet lost about a half yard on that play.
Brandon Chubb.
The older brother Bradley chub is a redshirt freshman for the Demon Deacons second and 11 clock.
Running will read minutes to go police have done a lot of work and there he is again and brought down by Victor Sanchez.
Now looks like laster's content to let Willy police run.
Loose, Marcus Bailey also in on the tackle coming up from the secondary to make the Stop.
And I can pretty much think that in this last eight minutes and 20 seconds.
I don't know how adventurous or how deep into the play but coach Owens going to get I think right now.
It's just try to do as much as you.
And get as many yards as you can, and make sure you come out of here, healthy and little room police.
By Trayvon Simmons, at the 35 yard line, huge pickup by Mystic police.
This looked like it was clogged up the middle and then all of a sudden Prince sees the opening and hands it off.
So let's let's check it from the beginning.
To see right there, Prince with the handoff escapes, the first tackle police and there's no one on the sidelines.
Everyone else had collapsed to the play to the inside and then just out of Bounds at the 38 yard line on once again.
See how this develops, everyone said the inside friends looked like he wanted to throw a bit of a block you see police work his way down the sidelines for the big game.
Cleveland on the missed tackle, on the end around that Blake Wilson Wilson, gets across the 2219 and so the running game for Lassiter.
Now, starting to flex, its muscle on the left-hand side and it's all to the left, second play in a row fake, the end around, give it to Wilson awful quick screen.
Lot of yardage there for another first down inside the 20, so Lassiter's moving.
Blake Wilson, 511 170-pound, Junior.
It's Jacqueline and Jacqueline Carey would be slowing down by Grant Fagan.
Grant Fagan.
7:24 to go fourth quarter.
This is game one of a doubleheader here at McEachern High School.
What's going to Trail Stadium?
What's game, two after?
We're done.
Sure and Walton almost the ground.
Watch that as well.
You should young man, once you control the sidelines in that one trypsin at the top of the screen to check each fighting.
Simmons Cleveland, I think I think the entire Squad eleven was on his back and there's the kimchi he white.
Now he's getting interest Auburn Georgia Georgia Tech and Yale nothing like having a 58.
210 pound athlete who never gives up smart in the classroom is Dad's a Marine That's a pretty impressive list of schools.
Yeah, no kidding.
Especially if he ends up playing for the Eli's /, Bulldogs up in Connecticut and flag.
One referring to a procedure call, see if it's procedure or delay.
You are right procedure.
Moving back 5.
Well.
It's been a great game by any Prince and his debut and his 2012 debut course.
He's on his way to UCLA.
You will have a be interesting to watch him play in the Pac-12 Conference because at stand up passing.
He's almost bothered for that type of game.
They have on the West Coast Looking for Chi, he not there, he'll he'll write himself and take a pretty good shot.
I think you're Sanchez.
Bring up fourth down.
Once again, you see pressure and you see the great decision making here by Prince, tuck it and run sees the Gap.
Make sure that he lowers his head when it's time to go down.
So he goes down the 19 yard line.
So it'll set up a 36-yard field goal attempt.
And we talked about Luke Harden his older brothers, a freshman kicker at Florida.
You might remember him for the Maris school last year on football Fridays.
And he's never played Varsity, transferring from Marietta.
So Luke has a great pedigree when they decide to see.
If they'll kick a 36 yarder Lassiter, calling timeout, 37-14 Lassiter, leading game, 1 of the battle of the big chicken here on the great GPB.

1 of the battle of big chicken, 37-14 Laster leading.
John it's been a pretty impressive effort.
No doubt about it.
You've seen any princes numbers 3330 yards passing last year.
Needs just about that to break the state record for career passing yards.
So the interesting to see how his numbers develop as the year goes along.
Effort by Luke Harden his field goal is from 35.
Yards isn't to be.
Once again, you talk about blocks its pressure right off the edge unguarded right up hands, both up, nice, low angle, look at this beautiful that.
That is beautiful.
That's a great look.

And pass incomplete Bagley, his hands and dropped it from once again.
Pressure up the middle Trent, can't this time number 40, defensive end at 5 11.
2005 and just look at this right up the middle, making sure that Thompson remembers who came to visit, you know, as you take a look at that ball in and out of the hands of Bagley, the he took his hit eyes.
Alright, the last Min one to turn it up field and create Create a positive play, but I think Trey Thompson had nightmares about those last four defense.
They all the pressures than coming, you know.
Now, I have the middle, but they're becoming from the, from the edges as well.
You've seen stunts.
You've seen blitzes.
I mean, you would think it would be something akin to the kitchen sink or going to plan Z.
When it comes to your defense, but the way that Lassiter's defense is structured, they're going to come at you from every direction and it's going to be anybody anytime anywhere.
You know, you talk about this staff and how everything is squared away.
They really want to bring pressure to the quarterback to make him think about what he's doing and there's Josh Danforth who's had 11 now he's had a bit of a bit of a busy evening on both sides of the ball a few sacks.
A touchdown here and pass is complete to Evan engram.
Well, there's mr. Ingram, making an appearance Ryan Gill de had him wrapped up, Ingram got loose, and then when he got loose it was pick him up and put him down and go for the store and right now 37:20, do you go for one?
He go for to try to turn it in snow, to get two possession.
Game to get the p80?
Well, Andrew gone is gonna kick it.
I know it's tempting, then maybe go for two, but gone comes in for the extra point and And gets it to make it, you know, the John this game starting to get a little interesting 3721.
As we take a look at the touchdown Once again, with our technical college system of Georgia, touchdown replay there.
You see the pick them up and put them down as he gets out of the Ryan.
Guild a tackle.
And then no one touches him after that initial move.
And let's see.
It one more time there.
There it is.
One, two, three guys.
For Lassiter, don't wrap him up.
There's the stiff arm on the Block that Springs him.
Your touchdown replay tcsg, learn more earn more and Evan engram, certainly earned more on that play.
He earned a lot on that play.
You take a look at the Old.
Miss downed, Evan engram to played 83 yards and only 20 set eight seconds of possession time and yeah enjoy Heaven running singing To The Music of the band from Hillgrove.
Four catches 113 yards on the night for Evan engram.
It's been the main source for Thompson in his passing game.
And Thompson's numbers are improving 11 to 28 for 191 yards.
Thrown two touchdowns.
And so now you've got a two possession game with a little less than five minutes to go.
Then you see what they're planning here.
It looks like an onside kick attempt.
This is where hands come into play.
Hands on both sides.
I love this move.
I coach Ironside.
They got the momentum going and it does.
They do my?
Oh, my Xavier.
See Astro on the recovery.
Oh my God.
It's getting interesting here, McEachern, plenty of time for Hillgrove to run through their offense.
You've seen England become involved and be the Catalyst this coming right at you.
Another angle to squibber.
Looks like Joe on Dicky, goes right through the wicked, bounced once and twice and right there falling on it.
Is Hill grub.
They've got it near Midfield, plenty of time to get back into this.
Once again, it's a two possession game, you need to score and there's your timeout.
Picture Hill.
Groves got them all Lasseter.
Only has the one So now the thinking caps come on coach or when you know that Lassiter's going to bring pressure engrams in, the slot has been the money guy.
In the thirty fourth quarter for Hillgrove and Thompson.
There's Danforth creating havoc in the backfield incomplete.
Try to try to go with the little dump.
Pass, Ingram know, was a decoy, and they're just bringing pressure from every place.
They can find it trying to just get rid of it.
Thought about the little dump off, little Outlet pass, didn't quite work because of all that pressure.
Second, and ten.
Anne Thompson.
Look at Tony.
The 29 black.
Mine, my bad Omar black, on the catch, 30 yard pickup and Hillgrove is knocking at the door.
This is getting interesting.
Watch Thompson, looking the whole time puts it, where Omar black just kind of has to come back for a little bit.
And then there's yards after the catch at good eight there, it's inside the 20 inside the 18 and there's someone who's really challenged his team in the second half coach Ironside and he's telling his team to hurry.
That's why, that's why he's poking his wrist.
They've got to get the call right and they got to get in the end zone.
This is impressive by this Hillgrove team.
The tenacity the come back after being down 30 7 to nothing at halftime on the care.
John Nelson, who got a game are five, nine hundred, and sixty five pounds.
Goes 19 yards for the score and he would not be denied.
When he came to the near side, it looked like he was gonna be pinned in and be just short, but you get Bagley to the outside, you can use his speed and let's take a look at it's going to your right Bagley cuts it outside.
I'd evades one tackle and he's headed straight for the flag to guys had a handful didn't happen and jamesrowe had him on the shoulder pad.
Couldn't bring him backwards while he pulled over.
Don't Devonte more and we'll for two hours or two points.
Zach cats.
For the two-point conversion and it's 3729 Hillgrove still four minutes to go.
All right, let's take another look at the Bagley touchdown, Which set up the two point, which made it a one possession game with the two-point conversion.
Four minutes to go.
Let's watch and see if we see something from the commander.
Steve Graham with the heads up in the truck.
Bagley, Left Foot, Right Foot left foot, just like that.
The to they gave him the score eagle eyes in the truck that matter.
It's going to cause it's counted and it's done.
Already is a one possession game, it's one touchdown and we're going to do another onside kick.
Let's take a look at the two-point conversion to Zach cats.
Once again, Thompson, looking the whole Time cats, settles in just before the end zone goes into points 3729, and we're going to try this all over.
Again, Glasser wants to get this because they got to get the defense off the field and a hot humid night here in Powder Springs.
It has that the defense has been on for two straight possessions.
Once again, you've got numbers 9:00 on 8, and it looks like he'll Groves going to call a time out to think about it.
What their approach is going to be last time.
Remember what the onside kick?
They kicked it, and it went through the legs of Juwan Dickey and Hillgrove fell on it, which Ironside wants to make sure everything is Kosher for the Hillgrove Hawks.
The next question, do you try to do the same thing since it worked with the squib?
You didn't pound it into the turf to get the big hop.
You scrubbed it, and it went between Juwan.
Dickies legs.
Do you go after Dickie and I actually got to put the ball in the middle of the field.
Looks like we're going to kick it off.
Cuz they got two timeouts and as long as they can stop Lassiter which is what they've been doing in the second half.
Jordan Guru will do the honors.
Everything's in God.
Do those prevent the big play on special teams by Lassiter?
Boots it and that's going to go the endzone and I'll go to the 20.
Okay, so now Ironsides going to rely on his defense.
To stop Lassiter and try to get the ball back.
All right, Eddie friends now finds himself in a pressure situation.
Up 37, 229, had a heck of a first half staff and a heck of a game 21 to 24 to 48, 2 & 1.
You know, that that man right there is trying to come up with a game plan quick, quick huddle here.
This that's police on the end around and police yards as we thought down to Raven.
Hey guys, thanks talk about a change in mood on this Lassiter Sidelines.
These kids were all happy going into halftime and now that's a look of stress on their face.
The coaches are yelling a little confusion And guys are yelling at each other.
It's a little rough on the last other sideline back to you guys.
Well it's gone to be up by 37 to watching 8 watching 29 unanswered points by Hillgrove and they know what hit them.
Kwame.
What we've seen here on the first two plays is Lassiter, play clock, they're running the football out of tight formations everything that they've done successfully has been offered the left Edge and it looks like he'll grow up hasn't called a timeout so we'll keep him there to there really challenging your defense here on Third and six to come up with a big stop officials are calling time out here to kind of take a look at things.
I give Hillgrove a little bit of a break.
So seen a run to the left side.
We've seen a run up the middle.
Now, 80 princes trying to get his guys into the right formation here, a little confusing to the corrosion adding to the confusion action on.
The will be a first down for the Lassiter Trojan.
The big quarterback comes up with a big play.
That might be the Difference Maker.
We got a flag here also to talk about coming right at you Prince King looking then he's gonna tuck and white out at the 31, one of the flags for is going for his head.
Justin Haney looked like he was trying to deliver a headshot, that's got to be against Hillgrove and take it out to the 46.
So it is a personal foul unsportsmanlike sportsmanlike Umbrella penalty could mean any number of things, but you did point out the attempted, but now I think, if your Hillgrove you got to start ball Hawking now, because they're going to run clock now with under two and a half to go.
And there's Danforth and Danforth, like a bowling ball.
There's a boxer Instinct on Josh stand for this Josh Danforth.
You talk about the effort he cuts it back three different Hillgrove guys trying to bring him down the first time and then it takes another three to bring him down.
The second time Danforth is tough as the linebacker for Lassiter.
He also was a boxer fact he gave up his sophomore year of football to concentrate on boxing.
Came back last year.
As a junior was, the team's leading tackler, and he also on the wrestling team six-foot-two, 22.
And it is all rock solid.
And here comes the police.
Sleepily.
Slips down and for a three-yard gain, kolento Cleveland there, and stop them.
Well, it didn't own that turned out to be a really smart Play, Because police kept it in bounds and forced Hillgrove to use a timeout down at 92 seconds.
And now what's a smart move by Willie, police police, he spun it wide, he's had a lot of yardage there now, watch and I'm just going to go down smart fundamentals that time by police making sure that the clock continues to run, forcing Hillgrove to use a timeout.
It carries 49 yards for Willie police and we're sisters.
The first game of a doubleheader here on GPB and be sure to catch Jim hobby.
Other words show, as she kicks off.
GPB football Fridays.
Access pass the game, next Friday, September 7th at 7:30 live from Centennial, High School finites and Georgia were never more fun, GPB Sports football Friday's all access pass followed by the Centennial edible game.
Beginning September 7th at 7:30 right here on the great GPB attaboy What's going through his mind right now?
Jet has run the clock.
We gotta.
Yeah.
We've got one more time out to force Hillgrove to use.
So you can pretty much imagine if he runs the football at might be seven seconds off the clock and then that takes you to 125.
And then third down would be the real challenge after the timeout.
Because then with the ball at the 27, What would be a bad idea first down?
Because this game set match, right?
Looking at it from the Hillgrove perspective, if they run the ball, let's just say they run it.
Between the tackles seven seconds come off, the clock clock was adjusted to a minute 40 now.
So then if you run the ball just to run it, you take it down to 133, ish Hillgrove uses.
The last time out its third down, if they run it again or if they try a field goal with Luke Harden, I bet they give the van for Dan goes with the layers of Boom, but they still couldn't really bring them down but as Victor, Sanchez was there to at least attempt to stop his forward progress, Okay?
So, I'll be interesting to see what the third down play is here in the third down decision.
Making, you look at that Hillgrove dominant offensively in the second half 218 yards to last year's 134 so coach, I am.
So it's going to be like, the fact, the effort that is offense cavemen second half.
They didn't mail it in to give a great effort.
All right, here's your staring contest right here, under a minute to go police and police.
A close first down that's going to be close.
Boom on Left Foot Right Foot spot.
It's going to be close, okay?
They had to the atoms on the tackle had to get to the 21.
That's what they get that ball, right?
Just beyond, I think it's half the football and cleared the first down.
Sure, they're going beyond measure - bring them over debt that they've made.
A first down its game.
Set and match eagle eyes here, says half the football.
And that man is probably going to get out of here with a win.
Please intent to look at that.
Mmm, yeah.
That measure.
Oh, shush short.
Oh my goodness.
Oh, what are you doing?
Mater?
What do you do now?
That's not the decision.
He wanted to make.
I think you go for it.
Oh, you got just and yeah, then the but field, but things can go wrong.
If you go backwards.
So does Eddie friends go for a keeper, trying to burrow his way through.
You're going to have 11 on 11 in more ways than one here or do you take that three yards.
Go backward hand it to Danforth was a battering ram at 222 bold and let Dan for take it under Center and then just use this, you're a strong leverage.
That's, that's the leverage.
Playwright Year, but do you hand off to Danforth?
So you do the keeper.
This, this is a wow and Hillgrove, a burn, a timeout.
Wow, this is it right here.
This is going to be one.
Heck of a stand on, you're going to see so many bodies.
I mean, literally you're going to have probably about two and a half tons worth of person within about a 10 yard space and it's going to be okay.
Who wants it?
Or who gets the push French.
Right.
Hold on.
I gotta get 12, Willie, Willie is going to be where he normally is.
He's over here.
Well, if you've enjoyed this game, we hope you got another one for For you, we got McEachern and Walton coming your way after this one.
When we wrap it up here with Lassiter up 37 to 29 All right.
You are going to see so many other hand process.
What this going to be?
It's called time out again to think about it.
So that's Lassiter's last one.
So neither team has any timeouts left.
We're going to talk about it.
Some more laughs when they came out.
It's almost like the timeouts and basketball late in the game.
You see how they live so you can figure it out.
Yeah, but let's go.
What you gonna do this time?
I don't think I've ever seen so many decision-making going on.
Just the game CM.
Hey, it's so it's a critical part of the touchdown game with 49 and a half to go.
But when you got the leverage of a guy like Josh, Do you have a 30-point lead?
And it's disintegrated 28, because of the great effort that Hillgrove is made here.
Let's see, muddle huddle quick snap.
Let's see what happens.
My god.
Oh no.
Police on the call gets the carry.
No, I honestly don't know.
Oh my goodness.
No, I don't know about this.
Oh, he had to get to the 21.
This is what's look at this, this?
Aw, I don't think he got Lassiter.
Thanks, he got it.
But I don't think he did watch speed sweep, great, defensive play.
And that's where the ball was.
All the Marcus Bailey.
Him biggest play of the, I don't think he's out of drifting Hills by the nose of the football.
If he got a B by the hair of his chinny chin chin, that's for sure.
And he got two centimeters on, that's all he needed.
I tell you, John, that was a good middle sweep like that when you've got a big, big battering ram Josh stand for but you know, everyone's thinking, okay, you're going to play.
Up the Middle with either keeper from friends, or Danforth or something.
He's you go sir, winds bringing a huge sigh of relief.
Mission to breathe now.
Jeb, granted, and here's the victory 10 carries 453 yards for Willie police office.
That one yard need to take this one back to Lassiter with a window.
They will definitely take it back to Lassiter and they would get out of here in a hurry, but let's stand up and applaud the Nugget West Bedford by Hillgrove.
Right?
I was totally impressed with that.
Once again, we talked about challenges and we talked about how you respond in adversity and this was a prime situation for that and Hillgrove came back to put 29 on the board and only lose by 8 and that's a handshake where one guy's got a lot to look forward to in another guy's looking to get out of Dodge.
So game, one of our doubleheader the Battle of big chicken is in the books.
3729 Lassiter over Hillgrove We saw some great performances offensively with Lassiter.
We saw what Eddie Prince is going to do is he's going to be heading to UCLA.
We saw the how electric Lassiter's offense.
Is, we saw how tenacious their defense is, we saw how Hillgrove down early, fought their way back and the tenacity words, a half second away from getting it, you know, you talked about this a lot.
To learn from a lot to look forward to from both of these squads as they continue to play next season.
Laddie Prince finishes with 21 of 24 for 248 yards, a couple of touchdowns Willie police 10, carries 53 yards, unemployed important that last yard Josh Danforth for carries 25 yards and what a game by Josh Danforth says both sides of the ball.
Both sides of the ball.
Couple sacks, a touchdown.
He was all over the field Troy.
Thompson 1234 229 yards, two touchdowns.
Heck of a second half by Troy, Thompson and Thompson.
Once again through for almost two hundred and eighty yards last week against West Lake in the 3115 wind came back with a strong second half with Senator Raven with the coach.
Hey guys thanks Coach that was an exciting fourth quarter.
If you will, what was going you're going through your mind when they made it a one possession game.
Well, I was really disappointed how we played in the second half especially in special teams.
That's on me as a head coach.
You know you got to play four quarters Hillgrove is a very good football team.
We knew they were going to play better in the second half.
We really had a lot of things go our way.
So you know, hats off to them.
We managed to hang on and win.
I'm really proud of how we finish the game, driving it down and running a clock out.
But certainly, there are a lot of lessons to be learned from this game and Coach Ironside said that his players.
Okay.
And so that's the As news of the night but we're really happy for the win but you know, we have a lot to work on.
Yeah.
That last minute.
What was the game plan going into that last minute?
We're just trying to get a first down, you know.
We barely did.
So we got a first down.
Oh we were able to run the ball.
You know.
Basically from about our own 20-yard line all the way down the field to run about three and a half four minutes off the clock and that's what you want to do.
You know we were able to execute coach Ironside, got me a couple times on a couple, special teams deals but our kids are able to finish the game and execute thank you so much coach.
Thank you.
Hey guys you heard it back to you mark, right?
Thanks so much.
