What more could you ask?
Ask for between two top six teams in the entire State.
Not only.
Are they highly?
Ranked is teams.
They've got some of the best players in the entire State six players that you'll see out in the field tonight have at one point been on the score 44 which of course rewards the top 40 for seniors in the state of Georgia.
And for Walton that's a little bit of either HughesNet.
Plane or is going to be playing with an injury.
Absolutely right.
The quarterback Parker McLeod.
We were expecting this high-flying attack this season from Parker McLeod.
Well injuries.
Have kind of riddle to senior season.
He missed a game a couple weeks back.
Today, ankle injury.
He injured as other ankle last week in the contest.
He's going to be out for the next three to four weeks.
So we will see the junior price Wilson who may just be one of the top quarterbacks in the class of 2014 and of course their star running back and both of these guys committed to lose Saban and Alabama.
Yeah Nick Saban's going to have a good one coming in there next year and Tyrant Jones.
However, siren Jones who just recently had his cast removed from a, from a wrist injury earlier this week was involved in a car accident.
Thankfully, he's all right.
Right, but we will probably see the cast back on his hand, because he did, reinjure that wrist.
So, even though we've been assured by the Walton coaching staff, he'll still have his normal heavy workload, and be interesting to see how he runs if he has that cast on.
And if Lassiter can hit that arm and for the homestanding Lassiter team, one of the best quarterbacks, not only in the state of Georgia but also one of the best quarterbacks in the country.
Eddie Prince is a phenomenal player.
We've been watching him since his sophomore year, we took over for Hutson.
Mason who of course, is now at the University of Georgia, Eddie Prince, of course, originally committed to us You then said, I think I want to go to UCLA.
Now, of course, he's reopened his commitment and all he's done since Deke emitting from UCLA is put up monster numbers.
He is keying in on the state passing record.
He's less than 2,000 yards away and there's a pretty good chance.
He can put a large dent in that one tonight.
It's homecoming here.
The bands are out.
It's an exciting environment will be back to talk a little bit more about tonight's game after this timeout.

It's homecoming, at Lassiter, High School and Fletcher, whatever happened to scheduling a patsy instead of your arch rival on homecoming.
Well, they call it the Super Bowl of Cobb.
This is number three, they played twice last year, Walton one, both of them.
So I think that's why maybe they wanted to make this homecoming.
It's a chance for them to maybe get a little bit of Revenge for wall, beating them twice last year.
Of course, there's this backstory of siren Jones used to suit up for the home team here.
And now, he's back in the stadium for the first time as a visitor.
So that should be an interesting side note right there, but It's always a little bit sweeter.
When you can maybe knock off your rival on homecoming.
Makes that homecoming.
Dance a little bit nicer to very good coaches here.
Took very circuitous different routes here.
Let's talk first about Jeff Berwyn in his third season, at Lassiter.
He's turned around this program last year.
He, they went the farthest.
I've ever been as a program.
Chip Lindsay took him to Great Heights than when he left to go back to Alabama.
All of a sudden Jep Irwin has stepped in they barely even missed a beat new quarterback.
Doesn't even matter.
Last year, they went all the way to State semifinals.
I was and he says that even though they've got a really high flying offense, the defense is really the unsung hero to this Lassiter.
Trojan Squad and Rockhill.
The gogo has been he's in his fourth year but he's been at Walton high school for 17 years, defensive specialist, but they score a lot of points.
Rocky is a totally different story embedded into Walton program and Rocky is a coach a dog always said that his team needs to cut down on the turnovers here on the penalties.
I should say.
This is one of the most penalized teams ever in his tenure at Walton high school but they concerned those over there, cut down on the on the turnovers cut down on the penalties Walton is going to be in good positions out.
They've already got one loss, they don't want another one, especially to Lassiter.
And we mentioned that Lassiter Advanced as far as they'd ever been Walton, made it to the state championship game.
Last year they certainly did a lot of those players to come back on the offensive side, they still do pretty good offensive line led by The Finisher.
They've got siren Jones a new quarterback in there tonight but he does have a little bit of experience.
He can throw the ball up and down the field.
It's a perfect night for high school football know.
In the turf is going to be perfect.
We should see an ideal football game.
It's going to be great conditions, out here, not too hot, not too cold, not a lot of wind.
So if it comes down to a final kick, I think the kicker will have it, the advantage.
And as we leave, we're going to go to one of your talks with dr. Marshall about the latest things in high school sports medicine, at from Children's Hospital, will be back with the kickoff after this timeout.
With extended practices on Turf, especially in the summertime when it's incredibly hot outside.
What are some of the precautions that are being taken by high schools?
And by the student-athletes to ensure, they do not get overheated.
Well, the first thing that they're that they're supposed to do with that, highly encouraged to do, is recognize how hot it is.
For example, you need to know what the ambient temperature is, what the relative humidity is.
So you can come up with the heat index most of the athletic trainers of the school systems around, have some type of instrument.
Whether it's the internet or whether it's an instrument called a sling psychrometer where they can actually measure the ambient temperature and relative humidity come up with the heat index and then there's guidelines that are that are nationally recognized about what to do.
If heat index gets to be a certain level.
For example, if T tank index is up to a certain level, then they might want to short and practice time, they might, they might want to practice with shorts and t-shirts and not wear helmets, and pads.
You may want to take the practice indoors or cancel practice altogether.
They should also be encouraged to have frequent water.
Aches that the especially during practices and even games that kids don't tend to drink as much as they should during practices during workout.
So they're encouraged to have frequent water breaks throughout the throughout, the practice, every 15 to 20 minutes, sometimes if it's really hot.
We also encourage the kids to pre hydrate.
You really can't expect to fill up your tank and get your get your fluid status on full the day of the practice.
They need to start pre hydrating and rehydrating the night after the previous practice.
In other words, the kids practicing today need to go home after practice and rehydrate replenish, those fluids that they just During today's practice.
So when they come to school tomorrow they'll be they'll be better hydrated.
We also encourage kids to drink throughout the day.
If the school will let them carry water bottles throughout the day, so they can periodically drink that'll help or we tell them.
Every time you pass a drinking fountain in the in the hallways, he got to stop and take a drink.
What are some of the signs and symptoms both players and coaches can look for to judge overheating?
Well, the earliest and most modest form of the heat related illnesses, heat cramps.
If you've been to the going to the football games early this season.
It seems like in the third and fourth quarter, kids start laying on the ground cramping up.
It's usually the hamstrings are the calf muscles that cause them to cramp.
And then and the main reason why kids Krampus from from dehydration, they're not drinking enough during the during the game.
So we're trying to encourage the officials on hot nights to have TV timeouts, official timeouts, not charged either team, so the kids can come out to end and get get hydrated.
We recommend that they that they hydrate great during during a change of quarters and especially at halftime.
So he cramps as the first one.
Second one that gets a little more.
Severe is heat, exhaustion, where the kids start feeling confused.
They might be nauseated.
They might have seemed to forget plays walk the wrong direction, clearly.
They're having mental status changes as their body is struggling to maintain body temperature.
Heat stroke is the is the most is the most worrisome.
And of course the worst sometimes fatal of all heat-related illness.
That's when the body's cooling mechanisms fail in the core body.
Temperature starts to rise.
Sometimes to 107 108 which can be life, threatening to the, to the body.
Do you recommend electrolyte filled drinks?
Such as Gatorade Powerade or should they just stick with water?
It depends on the length of the workout.
You know the recommendations off the workout is going to last less than an hour then plain water is.
Okay.
If the workout lasts more than our like most high school practices are going to last they were recommended replenishing, the carbohydrates as well as electrolytes that they lost in.
This can be accomplished through the typical commercial sports drinks, like Gatorade or Powerade It's homecoming at Lassiter, High School and what a night we have Fletcher.
When you start thinking about high school football, it's this kind of weather that you expect to see as we turn to calendar into February to October, and we are clearly halfway through the season and we got ourselves a good one tonight.
We certainly do it.
You can see right there.
It's homecoming night here at the Frank and they would love nothing more than to get a little bit of revenge against the Raiders.
A team that knocked the not only out of the way.
For the region championship last year, but also out of the chase, for the state championship losing to Walton at Walton a Trader Valley.
And the semi-finals before Walton went on ultimately to fall to Grace in the state championship game.
But that was the farthest either.
Those teams had ever gotten their history so we should have a good one.
Tonight is Lassiter's looking to to kind of snap the skid Walt meanwhile looking to a continued, their dominance team captains coming out for the coin toss.
The this is the thirty first time.
These two schools have been I just have To say, I had to walk a long way to get here.
This is a beautiful campus.
It's almost like a small college campus with separate buildings for the Arts that have a band building bigger.
And some of the schools that you're going to see just walking around here.
It's absolutely a gorgeous campus.
We're kind of see some foothills of the Appalachians out there that distance.
It's a perfect night.
There's not going to be a seat left here.
There are people already standing and every place Corner that you can have.
So, I'm guessing a crowd of about 5,000.
It should be fun, horse for those folks out there for the Well, one in particular second from the right.
You've got Tyron Jones, the last time he was in the stadium, it was as a member of the Lassiter Trojan.
So, you know, he wants to get a little kind of, I don't want to say revenge on his former team, but kind of show his former team up in earlier before the game, the students were chanting, we don't need you.
So both sides, getting a little feisty out there for styron Jones, re-injured, that wrist earlier this week when he was in that car, accident, thankful, he's okay.
You see him standing on the field right there?
The coaches say that he will probably have plenty of workloads night but don't be afraid to see Walt and go to the air.
I perform What I Hear price Wilson said, a lot of tape watching and practice this week.
It's the new passing four-way talks a lot about, it's not a score 44.
There's a University of Georgia signee, right there.
The big guy number 79 poblano, The Finisher, The Finisher, they call him and toss was want.
Wasactually one need to Ferdie.
Lassiter will do, will get the ball to start the second half.
Last Get the ball here now.
So but they're there are several really good players here tonight here, come the Lassiter.
I guess they're waiting to come to that Banner breaker there.
I thought they were all coming out there they come.
All right, all right up there.
Then through the brakes on, but they're here.
They come, they, some of their Big Time Players leading them out.
There you noted earlier.
Eddie prints has over 1300 yards on the season 13 stores for his career, 70 100 yards.
Of course, he is already been to more schools and I think he's gone through a lot of the letters.
In the alphabet, we started at SMU and other former Pelican coach.
June Jones is where he was going to go and then that fell through and he was attracted to you silly by.
And then another former Falcon coach comes along and Jim Mora and that bodes.
Well for Portland State is what you're saying with Jerry Glanville, right?
Well either that or another team with more letters than the names on it, but he is a good one, he's one of the best in it.
Country.
He's got a chance to set, the all-time Georgia passing record.
I love to go pretty far into the playoffs to be that, but we take that away from another class of our guy's been a long way, to go to catch.
Steven is on high school team, right?
Hudson Mason and he needs.
1934 yards for the all-time career Mark.
Instead of Georgia.
You say, he may have to have a deep run to playoffs.
They are number two in the state pop, so they're definitely talented and can make a playoff run River.
Last year, they were a four-seat when although it is semi finals winning at Alpharetta.
Which is a number one seed winning at ML King winning at McEachern.
We were there doing that game but remember when he when they met up in the city finals one year ago, any prints 3457 395 yards and three touchdowns as they nearly pulled off a stud.
Doing the kicking for Walt will be Anthony Prince and back, deep for Lassiter's Willie police.
We're going to be calling his name a lot tonight.
He is the leading receiver for this Lassiter Trojan off.
Their mean the main man.
They want to get the ball to on kicks and punches number 20, Robert Dowling.
So we're just about to get underway Full House here.
Tonight standing room only and we're underway.
Georgia public broadcasting key to the week number six, and that end of The End Zone, it goes.
So we'll start in the Yard line, but you're set the offense for Lassiter.
Well, we know about Eddie prints.
We also know that his main running back is Akeem.
Shaheed, we will see Willie police in the backfield as well.
You'll see Juwan Dickey and Ryan Jenkins out there.
You receivers that Jenkins.
He's trying to overcome.
What I was told was a bruised rib Lake.
Wilson is your y receiver, your tight end.
Their line is Sam would go on.
Pereira Steven Curran, Logan door and Austin Cheatham, and although they'll throw the ball over the field, they're not afraid.
Afraid to run it.
They've got three or four, very good Runners.
There's Prince flanked by one man.
On this, right.
They give the ball to him.
Across the 20, maybe to the 21 or 22, yard, line and brought down there.
There's a front man Lane Jackman with the color.
Yeah, Lane Jack.
And I got the start tonight but they're leading return or Russia this season.
Is that Kink Shaheed?
Also you'll see with replacement for five but Lane stays in the game.
Right now we'll set the Walton defense here in just a second they will move quickly.
No-huddle offense on this side.
Little more traditional the Walton side but wide open for the Lassiter.
Trojans and per second down and eight throws the ball at the flat.
The ball is behind him, but he Dives and catches the ball for a pic of about yards of Brian Jenkins, making the stop at sliding.
Catch will bring up a third and very short yard line to make is 230 there at the 29-yard line, third down.
And one will set the Walton defense after this play, if they're still out there and a hand up.
First time in more 35, 40 45 yard line, Dana 33, again, the lane Jackman.
So let's talk about the Walton defense at.
Just got penetrated for a big game, Kyle Whitaker, Nick Randolph of your heads bashed, in Cabello and Michael Kramer are your defensive tackles look right here at Lane Jack and gets all the way into the secondary before.
He is finally brought down by number 9, that is Zach Williams.
Zach Williams is one of your linebackers will get you the rest of your gear right now, Prince throws the ball out and the plant to Ryan Jenkins his second catch in the yards.
After catch 45 yards, second down and five.
Forrester Blake mans.
You've also got DJ Smith to quad Robinson.
Your cornerbacks, your safety is Colby Jenkins and Justice.
Bailey, we are expecting a high scoring game.
Although I know you're going to tell me later that coach is very proud of that culture was very proud of his defense, but they're averaging 38 points a game and they're moving the ball.
The first time, they've touched it back to throw his prints.
On the left side, he goes first down and more 4035 inside the 35 to the 33-yard line, big gain on first down, Blake Wilson the tight end and they call.
The why receiver?
But it's the traditional tight end spot.
Take a look right here, just find a nice little soft supple soft part in the zone.
Abuses, if you go Christian burlock you finally has to bring him down and that ball was out in a hurry by Prince there.
At the 32 yard line just under way.
Now, he throws to the right side.
The pulley sees that the 35 30 cuts it to 35, still on his feet and down to about the 26 yard line, very nice.
Gain on first down.
I'll bring up second down and short Blake mans had to bring him down.
Number 16, and he does eventually.
But Our nice gain on first down, when you can pick up a big chunk, such as six yards east, a would like to save Ops ahead of the sticks, head of the change is what you want to do and they are doing that and every play s down in for they give it to the running back.
He's on the right side this time Walton stiffens brought down just inside the 25 at the 24-yard line.
Once again Jackman who is game 250 yards?
Running the ball for this Lassiter team Darion.
Williams is the one that manages to bring him down.
Eventually they are doing some quick Shuffle.
NG in there, they can for the Walt defense, try to get keep fresh players in there, because when the offense brings players like they do, the defense has to stay fresh as well, big plan 32.
They give the ball the Jack when he has the first down in a lot more 1510 inside the 10 down to the seventh touchdown.
So detail right there.
Well, they just needed to gain two yards.
And as often happens when you stack at the time, stop the two yards.
Once he broke that.
He had green grass in front of them, for 10 or 15 yards, a nice tackle, the saved the touchdown.
First and goal and they quickly get back up to the line.
Bob, look at this, no waiting and they hand the ball to Jack and the Jackman and the right side, private jet with a seven yard score goals as well.
The left lane check to the right finally into the end zone for the touchdown, his third of the year, Lane Jackman, from seven yards out fines as a nose.
For the End Zone.
If you will not get this homecoming, crowd tested in a hurry, nine minutes and 10 seconds to play in the first quarter.
So we're not very deep into it.
In already, Lassiter has marched on the field, 80 yards, and scored a touchdown on a nice mix of passing and rushing as really nice mix of both.
Luke heart was inside the extra point, he's converts it.
The scoring out, seven to nothing.
And we will take a quick break and be back with the Lassiter kickoff.
After this timeout, Chrysler Dodge, Jeep Ram.
We have raised over 1 million dollars to help support our community.
So say it with me now, be American by American a tendrils Chrysler, Dodge Jeep Ram.
How much?
I don't think Lassiter could have wanted anything more in an opening drive.
Nice variety.
Nice mix.
And now the ball goes back over to a more traditional offensive Walton.
Well, Kyle has to score early.
Yeah, one thing I've heard those they're gonna bust out some new passing patterns of they haven't shown at all.
All season price Wolves and the junior watched a lot of tape.
Got ready in a hurry had to.
He's only played in a row.
He started one game of the season.
Bob was 14, if 19.
With the touchdown and you like him a lot and you say, you know what, you're going to lose a lot with bark of a cloud is headed, Alabama, McReynolds the only 38, a 72 381 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.
You know, Prince Will surprice Wilson.
Actually could match those numbers with the pretty good game tonight.
Luke Cardin is the kicker did just kick the extra point.
He'll also kickoff and standing back on the goal.
Line is number one tray Jenkins and he is a good one.
Got a couple of guys back there.
You're definitely dangerous.
Tyree jokes uses another one.
Who's going to have just an incredible?
Well, we'll see.
If is wrist will hold up but he and his incredible Quicks and a good kick.
Will they allow the return at the goal line to the 10, the 15, 20 25 still on his feet near the 30 and finally wrestle Out of Bounds at about the 29 yard line, good field position for the Raiders of Walton.
Let's set the offense will set the offense quickly.
Mention price, Wilson the quarterback and their Tyrant, Jones will see him in there.
If he can't go, Christian, burlock will have to step up Henry.
Rowling is your whole back there.
I'll have to see, which wide receivers they give us for Ryan.
Craig Murray, skips the stone Ron.
Burgundy, Jay Smith, they said, two of them will start, depending on what happens.
Brad, green, your tight, end, your line, kablamo Covello, Wilkinson, Shaffer and Jake.
Boynton Point, by the way, headed to Kentucky, and they will go a little bit more with a traditional offense, more of a pro set type 2.
Receivers to the bottom of the screen Wilson hands, the ball off and he's brought down for a loss in the backfield loses three or four yards on first down look, like maybe there's a little bit of confusion up to the left side or right side for the quarterback.
So it's going to take a little bit of getting used to, with a new quarterback in there, played a little bit last week after McLeod hurt his ankle, but they can't afford.
Any kind of mistakes like that second down, and they gave back to the 11th back, just for a while.
So one, yard second 911, the ball.
Now, it just outside the Line between the 28th and 29th second down and 11.
Now you have the full back in there may be going to help out with a little bit of blocking Jones, those running back behind him.
He did fakes the handoff, the drones looks down the field.
Now, he's going to hit for a lost back behind the 20-yard line all the way back around the 19 yard line.
So Lassiter's coming out, firing on all cylinders on both offense and defense Trent.
Gant was the one that brought them down there.
I'll put these set this 3533 sense that this side.
Yeah, 335 out there, you've got Monet CJ of on Trent Danzig, am honored to tackle a Right Gilda, Josh Danforth, jamesrowe as you see right here, look at number 40.
Trent can't coming in there, then your safeties, you've got Zaxby's play a role, Patrick Lewandowski and then the two corners Robert Dowling and Chris Murphy Murphy, one of the many transfer for the Lassiter Trojan.
Third down and 20 one, throws the ball out the flatbed strap.
That's intended d****** Morris Gibson, not Maurice, Gibson out there.
Just can't quite pull it in and so that's going to be a three and shouts blasters defense, the unsung hero.
That's what Jeb Irwin said comes to play.
80 yards of offense - 11 yards of Defense.
You couldn't drop any better for their coach.
Yes, excuse the junior comes up with the knockdown leading to ultimately the incomplete pass Dowling back to your seat.
The quad and transports will kick the ball from about his own 10 yard line, and they're going to get very good field position as darling a standing just about at Midfield.
Now, it gives a couple more yards back.
The kicker kicks a nice spinning ball ball.
Will bounce it the 50, take a bounce for bit.
Waltons favor and then be down Dead about the 48 yard line First and Ten from there.
So right now Lassiter just wants to kind of do what they did the first time.
Waltons got to figure out something to do on defense.
That is Rocky holding a go specialty.
Yeah Rocky is Hidalgo and Company really needs to kind of buckle down right here.
They kind of got punched first.
They tried to come back out, run a little play action that play was going to snuffed out in a hurry.
But now his he's going to have to go out there and kind of wait for this quarterback to get settled down a little bit and push back on defense.
So all Lane Jackman did was handled the ball almost exclusively on the ground for them and score a touchdown.
His reward sit on the bench and you like number one a lot.
Yeah he's another one that came over another one of these transfers but Hakeem Shaheed is certainly a talented individual out there.
They have a listed as a fullback but it is there's really only one back there standing by any prints so should be a chance to see what he can do with the ball.
Is a little bit bigger.
Then Jackman us and he is the has the most rushing touchdowns for Lassiter with four of the Jackman came within one now.
Is he scored his third touchdown of the year?
Although we have a little bit of a delay, let me give you some more of these stats.
He stated like to throw it around the yard, they certainly do Dickie has 14 catching the season Blake Wilson 13.
Of course, he had another one on that opening drive.
Ryan Jenkins has a pair of scores on the year but Willie polys 27 perceptions 514 yards, seven scores.
And we'll also call the name of DV Du Bois a town.
This time to put Put some pressure on Prince and he's going to be sacked for a loss back at the 44-yard line bring up second down and 14 and that time there was a whole bunch of white shirts in there.
They did, they swarm that time, they did what they need to do.
In terms of bringing the house, took advantage of that situation right there.
And now we'll see trying to get the call as Eddie prince trying to get this team back.
They don't even huddle Bob, he's just going to call it from the shotgun.
That's what they'll do in there.
The ball at the 44 yard line.
The line to make is the other 43.
So it's a second down and 14 back to Pants looking do is left rows of old man fell down.
He did fall that some people into many In This Crowd right in front of us, he calling for a flag with Bobby saw it clear as day he just fell down the stairs.
Joanne Dickie was the intended receiver, and he just slipped and lost his feet.
We were on the field before the game.
It's in perfect condition.
The turf field.
No grass here at the Frank.
And so he just lost his footing brings up second down and their third down at 14.
Well, you know, when the weather starts to turn a little bit like this, Get a little bit of moisture down there but I will, I will agree with you.
I thought the field was fine back.
The throw is Prince has time this time over the middle, he goes and throws behind his intended receiver.
That was like Wilson like Wilson again and they just miss her up.
So everything worked perfect.
The first series, it Downs the second time.
Nothing worked.
And they have to give up the ball on a quick three and out.
Good job by the Walton defense.
Well, the Walt defense, certainly came to play on that first down play getting after the quarterback bringing down for a four yard loss.
They were benefited by the fact that Slipped out and then threw behind it.
So basic.
But that first, down whether you get them in front of the chains are behind, we change, it just seems to make such a difference and what a difference between the 80-yard drive and three and out any, and it took with that first down play being a sack like that, it took out any chance of a run hard, does the punting as well.
Walt will let this ball bounce at the end.
So if there's an x-ray of kind of an office foot kick guns, I've been all the way up at the 25-yard line.
So Waltons, going to get good field position.
They started the first drive in the 29.
This one, we'll start right around the 25 yard line.
So So let's see what they can do.
The second time they get the ball and I know that they're going to want to run a little bit at Walton, is obviously the traditional set, but I wonder if they're going to try to get into a little bit of a quicker, maybe go at it, especially with a quarterback, that that has shown, at least in the one game.
He was in there that he likes to throw the ball around the yard.
Number 14, price Wilson, maybe they can kind of get into a little bit of a rhythm of quicker Rhythm First, and Ten from the 25, yard line halfway through the first quarter seven and up him Lassiter.
Hands the ball off to Georgia, A Jones around the right time.
He's going to be brought down for a loss again.
He was gobbled up in the backfield almost immediately give a lot of credit for 2411 Dow ski.
I think he started to spin him around and let's see on replay who finally brings him down.
But a lot of penetration that backfield and they bring it down.
I think we're going to give that credits number 95.
Corey, John.
You've already mentioned that.
Put a full back in the backfield.
It'll go blacking looks to me.
That's what they're gonna have to do here.
Fletcher, not again either.
They're just kind of pin their ears back and going well, but there's only one option, it makes it a little easier, second down and 14 back at the 21, back to throw the ball to flatten it, but was almost intercepted by tab in.
He's going to come away with it.
Yes, indeed Lassiter's going to get credit for the interception excitable, bubble screen, and Chris Murphy comes away.
And this is a textbook.
When we see it on replay, this is textbook defensive play there because there was a good pattern and he just took the ball away from her.
A great jump on the ball, they can see right there.
This homecoming crowd is excited about it.
Chris Murphy just jumping around point.
Take a look at the replay, he kind of they try to find a little quick little bubble screen just jumps the route pass intended for a Walton wide receiver.
Just couldn't get his hands on top of it, in a hurry, Stone Romberg the intended target but that replay really showed the quarterback looked at nobody else.
That makes it a lot easier to jump around when you read the quarterback size and he only goes to one receiver.
Now, Lassiter has the ball In Walton territory already leading 7 to nothing.
Well Chris Murphy never the October list of the score 24 to look for the top Juniors of next year.
It's obviously made the right call, right, Bob, all right.
That as always Fletcher, never doubt you, that's for sure.
And now five yard penalty of push it back to the 25 yard line, but set up that awful first and 15 instead of the, the shorter think.
So, let's see what they do here today.
First and long five yards, and again, write down.
How much do they hate at first down to get in substitution or addition?
Play a game, you know?
Now this time there was a change of Direction with it with a turnover that somewhat gives you an excuse, but it's got to drive a coach nuts.
Certainly does, I mean, you know, the play when you're coming out of there, all you've to do is go to lot and like it.
And now First and Ten apartment back in the game, back to throw, his prints pressure drops, he throws the ball down the field identity intercepted, it is at the goal line, very smart takes a knee.
So we've had two turnovers, that's his consecutive points.
Colby Billings actually came away with it, and that was one of those.
Where normally, when you pick it off, The End Zone.
You take a look right here.
He just overthrew everyone.
I think his receiver will go to the left or to the right.
But yeah, you see right there.
Intended for Willie police.
He might actually have had a little bit of space but I don't think you would have made out of the 20 so a smart decision, a lot of times, the eyes get bigger and you think you can maybe take it the distance but he wisely took that me.
I was thinking the exact same thing, but you're I'm sure that he had to show all the patients and coaching and he's received to take a knee because that that looks like a lot of green and Listen, a dragon, you lose in your well, is this what?
What a lot of green is, is 14 or 15 yards, but I'm still down five or six first and 10 from the 20, and off the Jones, 25, 30 or 35, to the 30, just push back, just short of the 30 and brings up second down and short.
That's the first time we saw him run north and south.
Yeah, he really got some some nice push from his offensive line.
They opened up a hole for him.
Take a look right here on the replay.
Anxious to see if there's a fullback and I don't see one.
Well, they it was a nice hat on a hat.
Right there, there was a little Lil Bit of a fullback or at least.
It was a guard that came through and made a nice block up the field a little bit to bring him.
To get him an extra 45 yards.
That went from being a three-yard gain, do a nine-yard gain because the guy up the field, putting his hat on a line back.
They Mark the ball actually at the 28 second down into from their hands.
The ball again on the right side first down across the 30 up to about the 32 yard line.
So there's the first time we've seen the super player from Walton.
The number one rusher in the state.
Do something in gained the first down.
Well, he certainly, he was the, I believe the AJC last year had on their offensive player of the year and Class.
5A, certainly a superstar out there.
One of the top running backs in the entire State depending on who you talk to Alvin Kamara or tyshaun Diet, but Elbert County.
But he's definitely a player.
That's as a candidate for player of the year.
He started off gangbusters.
Now, they have a fullback in front of him.
This time, they put a man in motion first and 10 from the 33 yard line.
It's Jones again spin move across the 35 up to the 36 yard line a little bit.
Direction there as well.
Picks up three yards second and 7 and Bob you know it's not a surprise what they want to do.
We saw it all last year when he just turned up yardage.
We saw it in the Georgia Dome for the Corky Kell classic early on this year, on GPB, where he did it against five touchdowns against Brooklyn.
We know he's going to run the ball, he's gonna get his yard.
It's going to be.
Can they find other Playmakers?
In addition to Jones to compliment Helm when it's time to give them a little bit of help Rock coming down to about four minutes to play in the first quarter Lassiter, leading at 7 and And we had a pair of turnovers one on each side Walton with the ball second and 17 close to a penalty.
There it is.
You save game delay?
The game and he actually saw the referee.
Can I think kind of give them a little bit of account?
Is that how you knew that or he's getting down to?
Well, I mean, would they unlike many places here at the Frank actually heavy game, they play Club over there and over there, we don't see that.
A lot of stadiums.
We do here at the Frank.
It's obviously your play-by-play announcer, didn't see it until right now, thanks that out.
So they lose five yards and at, Set of second and seven go second and 12, and that psychological barrier.
Now, being behind this chains, instead of in front of them on first and second down, Let's see if they stay with the running game, or if price Wilson, tries to put the ball in the air here.
And now we have another stop of play by the referees.
Not sure what this one's about Fletcher and the official journey is not real.
Happy about something.
The official nearside was the one that stopped.
So I wonder We're going to have a sideline, we're gonna get together for a little powwow and talk to the head.
Coach nice guy to talk to, isn't he Jep?
Irwin's.
One of the one of the good guys here in the state of Georgia.
The coaches here tonight are good guys and we've got a lot of great coaches but we got two of the better ones both both as coaches and is nice guys to talk to very helpful to us.
Setting up for this week, I will say coach or one has been great and the entire Walton staff has been great with this as well.
Just giving us anything.
We need information the ad over it Walton everybody over there.
It's just a Pleasure to work with, you know, these cops Schools, they're good people, they're good people over to take, we just had a nice angle everywhere you look.
If there's a place to stand, people are finding it right now.
The seats were full when I got here around 6:30 interrupted by a little bit of a homecoming parade got a nice Torah walking tour of the campus to get over here.
And it is a very pretty campus but it is a full house for this battle of Cobb County second down and 12 stop Super Bowl for Pete's sake, no penalty or anything.
Just tell the conversation back to I throw Pastime throws the ball down.
The field has a man open and it is is that hot or getting hit the ground to take care of Holly Grandpa.
No catch pass intended for number 80.
And that is Brad green.
The tight end, they had that thing.
Set up a nice little play action.
Roll out for for Christ Wilson coming over.
The top was the man who got the interception earlier, Chris Murphy.
He couldn't get there in time but the ball just hit the ground just a little bit under thrown.
But a lot of times that aids, the receiver trying to come back for the about.
Here you go and you'll see it.
It take a look nice, little play action, Tyre Jones, flicks it up in the air and maybe because it was off the, his wrong foot.
Oh, just may have dropped that.
One must have dropped that.
It's like, actually, to throw his may be right there.
Very good defense there as well.
Third down and 12.
Now, the ball at the 31 by actually caught the 30-yard line, the line to make is all the way up to the 43 yard line.
Big third down, play right here, for both teams, back to throw a little.
They go to the same man, the tight end, and he drops the ball, and he takes quite a hit and a little bit of giant back and forth.
There a lot of these kids played junior football against each other.
I think it's safe to say.
Even with all the transfers, a lot of kids know each other.
And these two teams though, they certainly do have and you've got one of the best players in the field actually.
Switch teams for Pete's sake.
He was a former Trojan and now he's a wall Trader.
So you know that there's a lot of bad blood especially boiling over.
From last year, when this team knocked the other one out of the playoffs Works, will get the kick away from just passed his 20 darling back at his 35-yard line.
Probably gonna give Lassiter pretty good field position again.
Left footed kicker, the short kick, very short kick won't make it to Midfield, bounces right at Midfield, and takes a nice bounce for Walton, inside the 40, Millions up with a nice net on it all the way down to the 36.
And of course, lots of no return.
So with three minutes and 33 seconds, score seven and nothing will be back with the Lassiter Hubble enter this timer.
They don't give out participation trophies, not in this league.
Nobody throws ticker-tape.
Thanks for trying, parades locker, rooms are not draped in plastic and champagne.
Bottles are not Uncorked for having winning seasons, even four of them in a row.
And at first time a little razzle-dazzle there, they did a little shovel pass to police.
He tried the right hand side and Walton was ready for that.
No gain second down, and ten.
Yeah, he ran a lot East and West.
Not a lot, north and south.
So I think game actually have lost a yard right there.
So nothing doing on the first down play.
They tried a little bit of like you said the razzle-dazzle.
I was wondering if they were going to maybe try to flip it to somebody else out on a reverse.
Prince ready to hand?
He's ready to throw on second down, has time over the middle.
He goes the ball is in the air and dropped in almost intercepted again.
Yeah, pass intended for number 80.
Ryan Jenkins a good coverage by DJ Smith, but I think that just went off the receiver or the intended receivers hands.
And I was up there the air for a while, but, no other wall Trader close enough.
Looks like they're going to substitute that Jackman and sure it'd Shahid.
Every every other series Jackman had it for the one play last time when they had the interception.
He returned much your turn.
Mike, that's what they're gonna do.
But right now, it's third down and ten.
Let's see what the Allstate quarterback.
Dials up on Third and long, throws the ball, little a man wide open to the overthrows him this time.
The defensive man fell down but unfortunately for Lassiter the ball was overthrown by a good 10 or 15 yards and there wasn't a ball player within ten yards.
Well, the thing about it was that was obviously a timing route Bob and and he friends knew what he took a step back.
He was going to wait as counts.
Take a look right here.
He's just waiting is Count.
Wait His count.
Now he's going to fire and as soon as the receivers the the cornerback slipped their super into the middle of the field, hoping that he would be seen by the quarterback of the quarterback.
Threw the ball rolls supposed to be, it's what happens when they break off the routes but there's not that well I think what happened when they received with the defensive man fell down.
The offensive receiver got tied up just for a quick second and it might have made the difference.
Kick is, and over and bounces at the 30 takes a good.
Why Lassiter bounce down to about the 22 yard line.
Second down our, excuse me.
The 22 Walton will take over with about 2 minutes.
40 seconds to play trailing soda nothing and you hate to say this but that's that was obviously Ryan Jenkins out there and maybe they're just not fully on the same page.
Like at you want Dickey who has been in the last a program for a while Jenkins.
Just came over from built before the years have maybe they're not on that same page as far as when the play breaks down.
Look for me here like a Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison had for so many years.
Well and I agree was a timing route but but but he had a little Bohemian print prints, had a little bit.
Or time to throw the ball than he did.
And I think the you got just tangled up when the when the Walton man fell down First, and Ten from the 22-yard line hands of all the Jones, right side.
Big game 3530, shoestring tackle at the 35 saved a touchdown.
Certainly did say the touchdown 24 came away with it.
That's Peter Levin.
Dorsky and he if he does not get it, dirt is just six points.
Look at lavender ski right here, just happy to get.
A literally was a shoestring because otherwise I don't think Dale.
Bring it down, Jones had a head of steam, the only happier man than the coach was darling that he didn't have to try to figure out a way, how to bring down big Tyrone Jones after that head of steam, he had up, but he gains first down yardage gives them.
Good field position at the 38 yard line, First and Ten and to Paula Jones again on the right side this time.
Nothing doing maybe a yard or two flock of Lassiter tacklers there to bring him down.
Try to get things going and that's I mean if you have to just keep hitting the wall and hitting wall, eventually, something's going to bust something busted a second ago, that's one of those plays where you set to keep running it and keep running it regardless of whether or not you have the success.
And this time, they ran right off the left side, that's anchored by the Georgia signee, on the left hand side there, and he's a good one.
And a big one, second down and nine from the 40 yard line Man in Motion.
Hands the ball to Jones again, big hole this time, 45 cut silica 45 46 and finally, pushed Out of Bounds at the 47 yard, line siren Jones again, trying to make the most of his first trip back here to the Franc, as a visitor.
Last time he was here, it was as a here's the player, watch out how Lassiter closes on this, what looked like it was gonna be a bigger play.
Do a nice job.
That's a good block there but I will admit to you in a second bath.
What a great close out.
That was number 11.
I think that's Josh Danforth.
Yes, Josh Danforth, who came away with a nice play there to prevent the first doubt about a yard to go for a first down the balls at the 48.
They just have to get on the other side of the 48 to have a first down.
No surprise who it's going to first down and more inside Lassiter territory all the way down to the 41 yard line, First and Ten Walton.
He's a Workhorse Bob, you know, he's just going to keep Running and keep running and keep running last year.
Tyrant Jones just turned up the yardage and he's doing it once again.
This year over 1,100 yards, 13 scores, on 164, carries coming into this contest, he ran for, I believe it was a buck 38 last year against these Lassiter, Trojans, a couple of touchdowns and that's always dangerous.
When you stack the lining in somebody like Jones gets through it and he gained 12 yards and and play the ball at the 41 yard line were in the final minute of the first quarter and Sepulchre.
Jones again, left side, 4035, brought down right there at the 35-yard line, but a quick six yards brings a second down and short and they stay ahead of the change once again.
It's so important.
They know it's coming, they know they're going to give the ball to tire and Jones and just what, you know, says fine.
You know, I'm coming try and stop me eventually play role does but it's not until he gained six yards and, you know, it's a big game because the Chick-fil-A chickens here tonight.
A chick like our brothers here, passing out t-shirts and having a good time, we've got a full house and a lot of fun going on here.
It's Come down to the final few seconds of the first quarter.
So nothing Lassiter but Walton is threatening here at the Lassiter, 35-yard line, Second down and four.
Hands the ball to Jones right side, he's tripped up at the 35 yard line, and I was going to say empty backfield right there, but they were putting him in the slot and bringing them over on and a little bit of Motion Tire and Jones.
They still get the handout, just a different way, I guess.
And we've played 12 minutes of high school football, the score at the end of one quarter.
Homestanding, Lassiter 7 Walton.
Nothing will be back with a second quarter after this timeout.
Chrysler Dodge, Jeep Ram.
We have raised over 1 million dollars to help support our community.
So say it with me now, be American by American a tendrils Chrysler, Dodge Jeep Ram.
They don't give out participation trophies, not in this league.
Nobody throws ticket.
ticker-tape.
Thanks for trying, parades locker, rooms are not draped in plastic and champagne.
Bottles are not Uncorked for having winning seasons.
Even four of them in a row and you know what?
That's just the way we like it.
The bones of a child are still growing and need special care.
The doctors at Children's Healthcare have the understanding and expertise to set growing Bones the right way.
And that's good to remember, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, dedic back here at the Frank lecher, Falkner bobhouse getting ready for the second quarter.
And Bob, in the first quarter, we saw two turnovers.
We saw one touchdown right now.
Walt is driving are working to get to see how they can continue down the field.
I'd say they're in four down territory here Fletcher at the 35-yard line.
If mr. Jones needs to plays they'll have it here from the 35 yard line, handoff to him right side near the Out at the 30-yard line, depends where they Market, but I think he's got it.
We've seen some good running backs.
This season on TV with are good partners at WSB with.
They're good buddies, elsewhere with Comcast Xfinity and we you and I have seen some great players here as well on our webcast but tire and Jones the patient's he showed right there some people will say why is it dancing the back old?
He wasn't dancing in the backfield.
He made one cut waited for his blocks to open up and explode to the whole, almost getting the first down.
I guess they're going to say just short.
I think Waltz may be asking for a measure and the line judge over here on the right hand side, definitely put his foot inside the 31 yard line, but when they place the ball down they put it right at the 31.
So it's going to be very, very close to the first down in any event if they don't have it, they're going to go for it.
So that no doubt about that.
With this situation we're just under way here in the second quarter Lassiter.
Lean it 7 to nothing and so far.
Mr.
Prince and mr. Jones have been everything.
We thought they'd be.
Yeah.
I mean you take a look It was a difficult situation is for Price Wilson coming in here.
Starting your second game.
I should save the season in the belly of the Beast here at the Frank against the other member of the East Cobb Super Bowl, but he's held his own.
He does have one interception of the night but I thought he's done pretty well getting his first down by the way.
I thought he's done pretty well, getting his team in and out of the proper, formations.
We talk all the time about the great crew, we have you talked about on Saturday or Sunday.
You're going to see 6 7 8 cameras, these great shots.
You get Every week on our webcast three cameras and they had that one just measured perfectly and you got a view of that, he made it by the parochial nose of the football First and Ten from there.
Thanks guys for that.
Great shot First and Ten from the 31-yard line.
It looks like they do have a full back in the game to do some blocking this time that would be rolling Henry who you say we'll probably get a hand off every once in a while.
Yeah.
Henry, Rowling is definitely going along to action tonight and that's Jones again inside the 32 about the 29 or 28.
Then he's pushed back.
We'll see what forward progress gives him.
But it's least second and long whatever it is Zaxby's comes up to make the nice hit and kind of push him back a little bit.
And that's going to bring up second down.
And yeah, I think they're going to give him two yards.
There so will be second and eight.
So Walton is kind of controlling the game after Lassiter, just went right through him.
The first time settling things down which is what Walton needs to do.
Well, doesn't want to see a 30-point game tonight?
They would like to see this game played in the 20s.
I think, I think they would mind 22:17 game Lassiter.
Be very happy to see you beat thirtysomething the 30, may be happy, second, die alone, that coach Irwin because he's very proud of his defense.
This year back to throw is Wilson, has time throws it got a man wide open at the 15 10.
He's going to get into the end zone for do the same.
That abounds couldn't stop his momentum.
He just he would have been easily six points.
But when he turned around his momentum just took him out of bounds.
That's that was more.
Recent Gibson making the catch and getting the ball inside.
The 10-yard line here, look at the throne.
He is wide open and logic.
He comes down and just yeah, he stepped out of bounds couple times actually before he was able to get into the endzone for the parent score.
But yeah, first and goal is what it's going to be from the 9-yard line.
I was Stone Romberg six knots.
Seven who made that catch and gets the ball first and goal from inside the 10 Walton threatening to tie the game, they give the ball to Jones right side down, inside the five, standing down near the goal, line pick, they're going to call him down right about the one foot line I think.
So I don't think he's able to get it.
In fact, the ball does come out, but after his knee was already there.
Every after his body was down, look at how close that is.
That is signaled, it right there and get a good view of it.
I think it was the right call, it got the ball down very very close.
Second down and goal from the 1 inch line.
Almost literally Hawkeye Halton up.
Here is able to see that he was just down 10 minutes to play in the first half Walton is one inch from tying this game up trailing 7 and nothing.
In a battle of super cats of East Cobb super teams, the quarterback keeps the ball, and I believe, gets in for the touchdown.
There's the signal touchdown quarterback sneak price Wilson.
He went right behind Jack Schaeffer and Jake point on that, right side to get it and pull their team to within one yard, and they will kick the extra point.
And again, that's interesting because they got the big all-stater on the left side, but they went to the right point is pretty good at his own.
Right head to Kentucky, he might be a candidate for all stages.
Two guys in the offensive line for Walton going to SEC schools that will tell you something.
We're one point away from being tied here, the extra point to see if that happens is underway and there it is up and through.
So we have H it off that board.
No good.
What is it off to the right?
Well, that was it off the orchard.
What'd you say about Hawk?
I missed that 19.
Minutes 44, seconds ago, had plenty of leg as you said again all the way and hit the scoreboard but he pushed it off the right.
Right.
So let's take a break 726.
Is your score will be back with the kick after this timeout.
Sonic flat mounts a really bringing me my taste buds closer together.
Oh, that's nice, you guys are close.
It's like we're not even taste buds for Taste Bros. Oh, okay.
It's like we all went through some real cool nature experience together.
But things didn't get weird.
Is the point of this that I'm not in on it, you make your own relationships.
You seek out your own peer group, ma'am.
I found mine, a barbecue feast in the palm of your hand.
New Hickory Flat Melt sandwiches.
Grab one with the real ice cream shake just half-price.
After 8 p.m. this is USANA.
Nine minutes 44 seconds till halftime.
It's homecoming here.
We'll see a lot of the Bands.
Rachel Daniels will be here to talk to the band directors and just try to bring all the excitement of homecoming to you, but right now we've got the excitement of the Darren.
Good high school, football game 726, your score.
The home team.
Still on top right now, but they just watched as Waltz and went all the way down the field of the heavy dose of Tyre and Jones a nice pass play by Price Wilson, we may be seeing the junior come into his own a B, it looked a little more comfortable and all throughout that dry Anthony price, bangs the ball into the end zone.
So, last year will take over First and Ten from their 20-yard line.
The first Dr. Fletcher, they just mixed it up.
So much more it looked like since then they've gone a little bit more pass.
Happy I think they got to re-establish, the run.
I think you're right about that.
Obviously they were able to go in there with their running back with Luke Jackman.
He was able to find some success with Lane Jack when I should say are able to find success early, kind of get things going, find the right home.
Rules when soon as they kind of did that switch up as you see Jack them right back in there once they kind of switched it up a little bit because I guess it's what they always do.
They kind of lost whatever momentum.
They had their statistics are almost mirror images.
They both had gained.
250 yards Jackman gets the ball on first down crosses the 20 up to about the 23 yard line Jackman and 251 yards.
She he did 249 yards so you can't get much closer nitzsche.
He did four touchdowns Jackman had to Yeah, we've got some uh some scores from the are really owes scoreboard here.
Let's let's get to him real quick.
Cal on top, Riverwood 14-nothing Camden County leads, coffee 10-nothing, Riverwoods 5 and 0.
Fletcher, we've got North Cobb 14-nothing over South Cobb and the other game was scoreless on the scoreboard.
There it is, our do is Tech take that back to que le with an early 7-nothing lead over, Brooklyn will be watching that one closely, that's the GPB TV game.
I also love it.
Washington County scoreless and Sequoia, creepiest quarters.
And second down there was no gain.
So we now third down and eight from the 22 yard line for Lassiter.
One man, clanking price Prince back to throw looks to the right, throws the ball down the field first down, nice catch Lake.
Wilson is the recipient there.
In a big catching that first down draw and the first quarter drive.
He gets a big.
First down reception right there, on Third and seventh going down as the Junior and picking up a fresh set of downs.
Talk about timing in the throw being right on the money.
That was one of those passes that came up before he made the break.
And hit him right on the numbers, actually, right in the belt buckle to be perfectly honest, the ball at the 35 yard line First, and Ten this time, the left side that's pulis at the 35.
Nice.
Open field.
Tackle to save a big play, gain three yards on that one but it could have been a lot more.
Yeah.
Colby Billings the man who actually had the interception in the end zone and that first quarter comes up with a nice play right there.
They do pick up five yards but he prevents it from being anymore.
Second down and five from just about the 39 yard line danced of all the Jackman on the left side, stopped.
Courtney.
Now he gets a black and get to the 45 yard line for another first down for entity on the planet Leon the place of.
Let's see before I call it a first down.
Let's see.
If they bring that one back, I think it's going to go against Lassiter but I think it was going to be after the play so I think the first down will stand but March him back.
Nope, holding okay, so now it's going to be a hole about.
Take a look if you will at the at the spotlight over there, that's the fog in the smoke from when they came through.
Is it fair to say that here the second quarter when they're still smoke from the before the game?
Mmmmm, it hasn't moved that there's no wind that there is absolutely no wind and maybe just a little bit of humidity so it just can't get away but he gain some yards on this.
So they're going to take it from the spot of the holding penalty.
So it's going to bring up second in long but not quite as long as you think because there wasn't getting there's the smoke effect that you.
So accurately, mr. Weatherman.
Checked out for us.
Yeah, they call me the meteorologist.
They don't.
But that's holding on the offense.
Thank you guys for getting that shot for us the ball back behind the chains.
Now at the 33 yard, Find second down and let's call it.
12 yards to go from there.
And again this is backed up behind the chains right here, especially when you have a first down wiped off the board not good.
But if anybody can pick it up, it's going to be Eddie Princeton this offense.
We saw him just fling it out to Blake Wilson a minute ago.
We'll see what they do here.
Fakes.
The handoff has time running through us left now.
He throws the ball in the air and that one is palpable and draft instead of almost intercepted and then it's going to say instead of going for just The Knockout.
I think he tried to kept it and he just got a hand on it to knock if we see that take a walk man overcommitted here and was lucky that the ball was dropped.
Yeah Willie police almost had a had six point.
There it is right there.
Yeah, I guess he got enough of a hand on it and definitely did elected and that may be deflected about literally but detected his vision where he couldn't see it but very aggressive defensive play there by the Walkman.
Brings up third down and 12 that won't men number 21.
DJ Smith, Prince looking to us, right?
Throws the ball.
One-handed grab and dropped.
No, he caught I'll be back with a did catch it, as he fell to the ground.
What a wonderful play that time by Blake Wilson.
Let's see this one on the replay Fletcher and we want to put a one-handed catch it felt right down in his lap on the ground.
I think Colby Billingsley thought?
Well I hit the man, yes he did but he didn't stay with it.
Look at it just came right in his lap and called the Billingsley is going once.
What do I have to do to make a play 2nd or 1st and 10 from the 46, yard line Prince rolling to his right directing traffic dumps, the ball off and just Overshoots his man, then time there was a lot of white shirts around that one intended for Jackman right there and just out of the reach.
That's one of the better places we've seen all year.
It was also one of the luckier ones because after the great effort that just dropped literally in his lap plane on the ground.
Well, I don't think Billings are billing gave up on it.
I think your feelings, I think was looking around trying to find where the deflection went because he knew when we hit him, when he hit him the ball bounced up in the air.
I think he was looking for the ball, second down and 10 from the 46.
He hands the Jackman ice Hugh Jackman with a big hole.
Smithfield down near the first down.
I think he's got it to be right near the first down inside, the 45 yard line at the 44, and that is the line to make.
So we'll wait and see where the referee Mark said, but it's either going to be first out or third down in very short.
I think it's going to be third down very short, but we've got a good look at it.
Excellent call Right There by Jeff, Our Winning company knowing that they were going to try to bring the pressure and excellent execution by Eddie Prince and the running back.
Fletcher.
I think, I think your eyes are Hawkeye and this one, I think they're going to be Less than six inches.
Let's see you can see right there.
Great job by our camera crew.
That is just short just short by.
Let's say I'm going to try to catch it count, count the chain links, chain links.
Yeah, I can't do that.
My eyes aren't that good?
The ball at the 44 yard line in third down.
Definitely two chances to get this one.
So let's see what they do now but I'm sure they'll handle all the Jackman.
Well, this is one of those interesting situations, Bob, do you go under Center even though your predominantly shotgun was Ransom note?
Are the shotgun very good.
So instead of six inches, it's six yards.
I have whatever police back here in the slot.
Looks like they want to change the play here.
Now he rushes up to the line to tell him, but he still going to be six yards back.
When the ball is snapped in, it could they didn't get the playoff, well, maybe they did.
I thought I heard a whistle, they died for the first down, let's see.
S interesting is Clark, said 0, and notice that.
I thought I heard a whistle on top of that, but I was going to say, I haven't seen the play clock running, maybe there was a problem with it.
I haven't seen it run at all when last Is on the field.
I do see it running when wolves on the field you should interesting things to keep an eye on the ball at the 46-yard line running right now.
First tent for Lassiter, seven minutes to go on a moving clock.
726 Lassiter over Walton from Cobb County, wonderful game tonight.
We'll talk a little bit about that Cab County, Jinx.
Maybe a little bit later, Fletcher, 726, then a long time, since any team has won a state championship from cab Prince rolls out this, right?
He's going to be brought down for a sec back at the 45 yard line and you get almost back upfield way loses the Order to bring up second down and 12 he get him in the backfield.
I think that was Jacob Murphy, perhaps coming back there to make a fine play to bring him down.
Ball, just across the Earth, inside the 45.
So Jordan vorster.
He's he's second down and 11 from the 44-yard line.
Prince did the best to make him bad play.
As negligible loss, is possible wide at second down, back to throw, Here Comes The Blitz, they throw the ball down the field, maybe where the man Blitz from, because that was a safety Blitz, all the way there, Fletcher, and he had to rush the throw, and it went harmlessly to the ground.
Third and 12, again pass intended for Ryan Jenkins.
And that was another one of those where I just think, perhaps, there's still a Only get on the same page right there.
He kind of put his hand up.
I'm not sure if he may be broke off his route a little bit well.
But on that one he did the safety Blitz definitely affect.
We did they forced it in a hurry but I think he broke off his route right there ball at the 44, the yard line to make is the 33 that quick Midwest.
Math tells me it's third down and 11 back to throw his prints.
He's in trouble and he's going to be brought down for a second.
It could end up the ball on the ground.
Now that just is for different Walton, Raiders that brought him down.
I think that was gonna be there.
He'll get to Midfield first forward possession there.
But he's got neck pick.
All of us to the 45.
Look at this, pressure by Walton here, and watch him, when he gets back there.
Instead of stepping back, he tries to step up, but when he does, it's right into the arms of about four different Walton Raiders, he was trying to do the right thing, instead of panicking.
And running East-West, he tried to step up back into his comfortable, they teach it, but it didn't matter.
Because Walter just collapsed right on the ball.
Exactly at Midfield, Walton will send the man back at the 21 yard line 2.
Is it named Jay Smith?
He's dangerous.
Let's see what happens with the heart and kick High snap.
He brings it down.
Gets a good kick away.
Fair catch called for and made at the 18 yard line.
So what will take over there on their own 18-yard line with five minutes and 27 seconds to go and trailing by a point.
And this the way this game is gone, Bob, it's really started to favor the wall Traders.
And, you know, we talked about it earlier.
I think last year would certainly be happy with a 3531 contest where as Walt?
And I think, once this to be more of a 20, 17 contest with Tyra Jones, pounding and pounding and keeping Eddie Princeton the sidelines.
And right now, with the way both defenses of played well you have to credit last year's defense but as well as Walt is defense.
They've really recovered from that initial blow the ball at the 19-yard line.
I'm sure Walton would very much like to get a score, but I think they'd be also very happy to take about five minutes and 20 seconds off the clock here as well.
Nobody in the backfield behind the quarterback, to throw it first and as a man wide open 3540, it's the big guy.
I just don't need 40 35, 30 inside the 25 and finally brought down at the 20 yard line and you talk about busted coverage there.
If we can see that it looks like the safety rolled right over because he's you mentioned it.
There is only two wide receivers out there.
Both the near side, take a look before the play that safety kind of sucking them call from the ball over and wouldn't you know he just kind of says hey I'll take it flipping of the feel completely your own 18.
Damn of the other 20 yard line and a great defense.
Good play by Devonte more, not giving up on the play cuz he was giving bring a green rather the quarterback about a 20-yard head start, but the big tight end will humble down the field for 61 yards at the twenty first and ten from there.
Now, it's the Jordan, he's trying the right or Jones rather the right side, the 2015 15.
But there's a penalty as he waited for that clam on my sure.
This is going to be holding and there's a signal already, so they go with the past for 61 yards.
Then they go right back to mr.
Reliable Jones on first down, but this penalty is going to set up a second.
Our first along.
Yeah, Brad green was kind of running free right there and that was the tight end.
I think that's the reason that he kind of was caught from behind right there.
But otherwise what a, what a great play and recognition by the Young quarterback.
Can you see why maybe he likes to do?
You do great, how about the quarter or the coach leaving him in an empty backfield on a very critical drive?
And then the tight end just waving his arm said, look at me, look at me and how open it was.
There's the crowd catching a little bit of the spirit of homecoming.
Believe me?
There's no An empty seat at either side in a whole bunch of people standing but you and I will discussion.
I tried to say it's 6,000, he thinks it might be a little smaller net.
But there's at least 1,000 people stowing as we get to show you.
The, this is what Friday Night Football is all about Fletcher, people that probably go to church together played Little League together.
But now once wearing blue, the other ones been wearing the maroon of Lassiter here.
So it's a it's a neighborhood Skirmish to say the least second down and 20.
The ball back at the 33-yard line, four minutes and 50 seconds to go on a moving clock.
Jones is the has some lacking in front of them this time.
Let's see what they do.
Brings a man in motion.
Heck the fake the throw throws it out in the flat man.
Opened the overthrows him.
The intended receiver.
That one was Ryan Craig, but they just overthrow him on that one.
That would have gotten back to penalty and maybe a little bit more Fletcher setting up a more manageable play that it goes incomplete.
Second down and 20 from the 34-yard one.
Second and 23.
And right now, it's kind of I think when Walt is obviously it may be a little bit of an offense that they're not comfortable with.
They want to try to stay, you know, First and Ten Second and six.
Instead of s 223 that holding call really heard of the side effect and missing that extra point.
A field goal might mean even a little bit more to him than normally.
Let's see.
They go back to hand the ball to Jones.
He's tackled immediately.
No, gain brings up third down and long.
So my point there is Fletcher.
They're almost plane to get the ball to maybe to the 20-yard line.
Be happy with that.
So they could try to kick a field goal to go ahead, a line to get as the 10-yard line.
But that that's almost out of the question.
So if they could just get half the distance, get it in field goal range.
I think they'd be very happy with the coaching staff has done a good job of finding some matchups, calling the right play to maybe get a an interesting and exploit a matchup, but it's also on the quarterback to kind of recognize is they're going to call a timeout.
It's up to the quarterback to recognize the play and where the balls to go.
So Walton has called time out.
We'll come back and see what they dial up.
On third down, 726 Lassiter.
Four minutes to go in the third in the second quarter.
As leaders.
In our communities, George is locally owned and operated Electric Membership.
Corporations are proud to sponsor GPB Sports and the Georgia.
High School Association George's, Electric cooperatives are committed to providing safe affordable and reliable, electricity to our members.
We are dedicated to building strong communities by helping George's student.
Athletes become the leaders of Tomorrow.
Georgia's Electric Membership, corporations lighting the way.
Wow, four minutes.
2 seconds to play.
We're at the Frank at Lassiter High School where the home team leads it.
726 Walton has a third down in very long.
Back at the Lassiter 34-yard line, the line to make is all the way down to the 10 but I think they've got a pretty good kicker here even though he missed the extra point.
So let's see if they dial up a tenured player, they try to get the whole 23s.
I was going to say they're probably going to be willing to give you a 10 or 15 yard gate right here in that could actually put you back in feel good.
They called time out to bring Jones out of the game.
Their Premier I'm back.
Now the big rush is on and Wilson's going to be brought down for a huge loss, making it all academic and now there's a little bit going on a player loses his helmet over there.
And I think that young man just got himself a penalty to wipe out 3rd and 3rd 4th and 30.
Well, we'll say are not going to be happy with that.
One on the sidelines who depend on T is called again.
So it's got to be in the guy who loses his helmet.
Unsportsmanlike.
Absolutely, that's going to go against yeah, last year.
You're absolutely right.
The bullies watch this right here and this was just a party.
I mean, I'm going to call it a boneheaded play.
You got a, can you got to keep your composure here?
The helmets off?
He's button and let's see if we see it all the way through here.
Now, the question is, is that a first down?
There's very few automatic first downs in high school.
So they might just get 15 yards here.
And that the first down, we'll have to wait and see for sure.
There's going to be a 15-yard penalty, but Fletcher, I need Allen.
I'm not sure this will be a first down, let's wait and see, I'll take it.
Really, that think it's gonna be 15 yards, which is going to put it basically back to where they were before that place nap.
Well, and the other thing is, since it clearly happened after the play was over, it might still be fourth down.
So let's let's let the referees tell us as they sort things out here.
There's the 15-yard walk off being done.
It's going to put the ball back inside with 35 yards, right?
Fourth dead ball, foul dead body.
When the red.
So it was a bad penalty but not as bad as it apparently period in college or Pros.
That's a first down personal 17 yards, which is what he actually lost.
Look at, they're going to still try a 51-yard field goal here.
Wow, the attempt is going to be from number 91, Anthony price will see if he's got the leg right here to Boom it through.
He certainly has via the neon green shoes.
So we'll see if maybe they bring a little bit of luck and it's very important.
Trail by a point.
That kick is away and it's got plenty.
It's got the distance.
And it's good.
Wow it's Bob 51 yards and just barely had enough to creep through the left side of the uprights a line drive kick.
So he kicks perfect form on the extra point and mrs. Then he kicks a line drive knuckleball that Knuckles inside the goal, post that give Walton 2927 lead and that brings back shades of the mayor's game.
A few years ago, where the young man made stable 7 about this was 50 plus that's pretty We're going to see it right here.
Kick is away from the angle.
We have.
You can see that.
It just just knock Enix thrill.
I don't think it would have been good from 52.
But he made it from 51, and that's what counts, and there's that 15-yard penalty, coming back to haunt Lassiter and that's going to be something that they.
Yeah, right now, right?
That was a penalty.
Number 40 has to be kind of kicking himself, Trenton, Gant, Trent.
Yeah, one of their better players.
Yeah.
I mean, that's, it's not one of those where a penalty takes points off the board, that's a situation where it put points on WE, very rarely will criticize a high school athlete.
That's just not what we do you do if it's a kicker but and Out of play, you just got to keep your wits about you and here's his helmet off.
That's probably what made it worse?
I know, he probably felt that his helmet was shoved off, and I'm sure the maybe the officials didn't have a chance to see that.
The helmet was popped off possibly by somebody else.
He was getting in the Grove.
One player has his helmet off and the other player has his helmet on that player.
With a helmet off, is going to lose that one.
99 times out of 100, the man who kicked the 51-yard field goal with kick it off and light it into the end zone.
So, I'll start from the first 220 and Lassiter trailing for the first time tonight.
Let's see what they do with the final four minutes.
Well, they've got a couple of timeouts still in their pocket to to be exact.
They can March it up there.
Sees me all three to be exact so they can marched up the field.
They've got plenty of time.
They are a quick strike offense, I think three timeouts plus 3 minutes.
42 seconds is an eternity in Jeopardy, when an Eddy Prince world.
So I couldn't agree more.
They're not at all worried and I think they're pretty confident that they can March down their own home field.
From the 20 yard line the first opening drive, they look as good in his efficient is anything like the number two team and they did look and they did it with a mix of running and passing.
Let's see what they do on First and Ten back to throw his prints out to the left man wide open its pulleys.
He's at the 25 and goes out of Bounds at about the 26 or 27 yard line trying to fight for all the extra yardage but kind of net when I think you get out of bounds to stop the clock and get ready to play.
Again, we talked about it a second ago that there's still a lot of time.
They have all three timeouts if Stick your head or stick, your nose down there and get two or three extra yards and then go out of bounds.
I think you do it.
Picked up seven yards that wind to make is the 30 there at the 27 yard line.
Prince back to throw again.
Same plight least catches the ball and it's out of bounds.
Let's just see where he puts his foot down.
They gave him a, a mark just on the wrong side of the 30-yard line, very similar to a play.
We had last week where the guy caught the ball and he could have gone in one side of the post Ali.
And this one, I did the defensive player had a little bit to do with pushing him out of bounds.
Ons and bringing up third and very short.
And I give the ball to the running back and he's hit and but has just enough to pull fall forward for the first time that's hacking.
She he do, it's his turn to have the ball and run with it this time and he gained a yard, maybe more and picks up the first down at the 31.
Trying to drag it down as Kyle Whitaker.
But Carl Whitaker just gets taken across the line.
Whitaker's an interesting story, he'll see a little bit of time tonight.
As a, as a fullback.
Let me tell you just a little bit more about him, coming up into this, play back to throw.
His prints looks through over the middle this time.
The ball is dropped in.
The man was wide open.
It was Blake Wilson again, who's made a couple of circus catches and there.
He dropped.
One, right in his numbers.
Yeah, Carl Whitaker had three sacks a week ago, but he had a spiral fracture in a JV game last year.
Technically, it was a distal third fracture of the femur sounds pretty gnarly.
Does that mean I'm just grabbing my back right now thinking about it.
He actually wanted to stay and continue play in the game.
Not just down the silence.
He wanted to keep playing the coaches said, son, go to the hospital back to throw their setting up a screen pass.
It he breaks away from one at the 35 up to 38-yard line, Walton smelled that up very well.
But the young, man.
She, he just broke away from it and turned a loss into about a 5-yard.
Gain, not trying to get too casual here but he's a big dude.
You know what I mean?
In those big dudes can kind of drag some of the other guys and crossed the line.
He's close to a first down because they, they gave me a little bit more than I thought.
The ball all the way up to the 37 yard line, the line to make is the 41.
So it's called third and short for Changing the play right now, clock at 2:40 in moving and now Lassiter's going to take a timeout.
I'm sure not a timeout that they really wanted to take their Pletcher, but it was an important one to take because you got to get this one, right?
Yeah.
It would be more costly if they doubt their last timeout of the half but they have two others to play with.
They can keep to in their pocket.
This is a big down right here.
They don't want to give the ball back to Walt because it seems like price Wilson's actually gotten into a little bit of a rhythm and a little bit of a flow here.
They don't want to give the ball back to Walton, Tyra Jones but they can keep the ball.
Pick up this play with a big first down conversion, right here.
You know, that they're going to want to continue to just kind of turn this clock away because correct me if I'm wrong, they have to give the ball up to start the second half.
Correct, they got the ball first.
Yes.
So they want this to just be the end of the half they score right for the unit half.
So it's just a normal kick off and not a benefit for walks up to receive the second half kickoff.
And I was see a big play for Walt this topic because they know they are going to get the ball to start the second half.
So 927 Walton leads it on the strength.
First of the The missed extra point and in the same man, who missed the extra point, booms, a 51-yard field goal Fletcher, I think we've got some scores we do.
Let's go to the really owes, Pizza scoreboard, North Cobb up on South Cobb 14-nothing look.
That's been a lot of scoring since our last update Brookwood 1714 over Dacula on the Aurelio's Pizza scoreboard Cal 28 nothing.
Now, over River would kill is certainly talented.
You saw them the George done in Camden County are number one team in the sport land, uphold 24, nothing over coffee right now.
All right, third down and four.
The balls at the 37-yard line, maybe just over that.
The line to make is the 41 third down and four for Lassiter to keep the ball here late in the first half, live, like out to throw the ball from Lowe, I don't know what's that.
We all tipped or might have been was very rather low in ten.
Rupees receiver was Willie police and it would have been a real difficult catch form even if it got into him because it was never much higher than the ankle high see right here.
There was five wide what happened right here.
Was it.
Yeah that was because he saw the it was a spiral that all of a sudden Dawn coming rusher, it after it passed him, it started to wobble a little bit.
Eddie Prince's is better than that, third down at our fourth down and four.
Let's see if yours ever a time to maybe do some trickery, it would be right now.
So let's see what happens on Fourth.
And four harden.
A quarter of the kicker has headed was a busy man, so far tonight.
The snap is a good one, and the kick is just a way, almost black fair catch called for at the 28 yard line.
Nice.
Grab there by CJ Smith or TJ Smith.
Rather I don't know why I put your I just had a feeling that maybe Lassiter might had a trick up their sleeve there.
After I almost said, wow, the the foresight of my partner here, right after it happened, it looked like all the three personal protector blockers kind of went to the right.
I was wondering, wow, Bob was with the astute prediction right there, but when they went to the right, they kind of forgot about that one man coming and nearly came away with the block 2 minutes.
26 seconds.
Walton has two timeouts and pretty good field position.
So I think they will try and bring the ball down the field again.
They just have their own.
They just know they have to get to the 30-yard line in there and field goal territory.
So it is a little bit shorter field than you usually expect the hand of all the Jones, big hole 45 50 40, 50 45, 40, 30, still on his feet at the 20 and a great tackle at the 20-yard line saving a touchdown Gus Taping that touchdown was 24 coming up in a hurry, Patrick Lewandowski, he had to otherwise what was just a simple trap play right there?
Tyra And Jones, almost busted, my thoughts.
Exactly what a simple just kind of off tackle.
But he busted out to make it an outside play and pretty simple play, and it went 50 yards.
Yeah, that was 50 yards.
Exactly for tyrant Jones.
Talk about flipping the field.
Now, all of a sudden they're in business, even though they are a running team traditionally, they have two timeouts.
They're already in the red zone and two minutes to play.
They are going to try to use all the clock.
Here's Charles Jones brings the ball back, the other way.
At the 15, inside the 15 down, The 13 gained six yards on first down brings up second down.
And short 927 Walton is the score inside the final two minutes of the first half.
Yeah, under two minutes to go clay roll and a host of other Lassiter Trojan Springs of down there, but it was a nice.
Again, you have to keep going with those.
It was a nice run on first down.
You pick up four yards, is it 50?
No but you'll take four yards a carry every single time if you're all traitors and the entire Walton Playbook is open or minute and a half to go but two timeouts, they got plenty of time to make He calls they want.
Watch the 15 yard line and Jones is the single setback.
He gets the ball at the 15 inside the temples as we double balls on the ground.
It went all the way into the end zone so it's going to either be a touchdown or a Touchback, probably a Touchback, I think yes.
That's what their ruling.
Wow big play right there.
Jones who usually does not fumbled.
I wonder Bob if that has anything to do with the fact that his wrist was hurt very well could be you'll see on the replay that he had the first down.
More second effort.
Tried to get it manzoni.
Fumbled it about the 5.
Here it is Fletcher.
Looks like he wasn't going to get a touchdown, but he was going to pick up what I believe was a first down and set up first and goal, but the ball just squirts loose.
It was a nice hit by the last hurt roach.
It's a clean hit but I wonder if it's that injured wrist.
Maybe it was you know if he's wearing a cast on there, that's take the piss to carry the ball differently.
Well he got a big hit there as he was trying to get that extra yard coaches, love them to be working to get that extra hard.
But sometimes they Just say, hey, we got the first down, we got plenty of time.
Let's get on the ground and set up a play first and goal, but that's not what happened.
Now, here's where you and I always have our fun Fletcher Lassiter.
Probably dodged a bullet here.
They still have two timeouts in the best quarterback in the state.
I think they'll run with it even though it kind of makes me nervous, they've been they've dominated the first play and nothing since after the first drive.
Here's the long bomb, down the field and just over thrown out of bounds and incomplete.
He was trying again, for Ryan Jenkins.
I haven't seen it actually go a lot for Joe and Kee baby dick.
He's a little more banged up than we were led to believe coming into this contest.
We do that.
He was her a little bit.
I think he had a bone bruise and his knee is what they were telling us but he may not be he I don't believe he's been targeted at all tonight.
Jenkins is kind of a tight end body but he's only had six receptions but they've gone for 167 yards.
So he is their big play guy and they've gone to a couple times tonight.
Second and 10 from the 20 back to throwing the right side.
This time has Wilson open at the at the 30 up to the 35 yard line that It's Blake Wilson, making the catch gaining a few yards.
After catch the stop, the clock to move.
The chains.
We've got 59 seconds.
Exactly to go in the first half Lassiter trailing 927.
They'd love to score before half-time.
I think they'd be happy to get a field goal and take the lead into the locker room to.
So, let's see what happens on first down.
He rolls to his left this time being chased by a host of Walton players and the ball, hits Wilson in the hands and he can't hang on to it.
After coming up with so many nice catches early on that one, just kind of thrown in a position that was Not able to be hauled in and it's going to bring up second down.
Clock will stop with 51 seconds to play ball in the 37.
Whole bunch of thoughts on a receiver.
Got to make sure you catch it.
Get out of bounds.
Make sure your feet are in bounds.
No, you're going to get hit, you're running full speed.
I'm not trying to make excuses but there's a whole lot of things going on as he was trying to make that play for a short 5-yard.
Gain spec first our second down and 10 from the 38 yard line, man.
Flank the next to Prince.
This time back to throw has all day.
Throws the ball down.
The field has a man open and it's well, a global overthrown again, and was looking for Ryan again, Brian Jenkins, again, Jenkins and a great job right there by Colby Billings of not hitting them.
But flashing enough in his peripheral vision that Ryan Jenkins I think, had to kind of slow up a little bit, otherwise he was afraid.
He's going to get clobbered.
We saw this with the fine quarterback from Gainesville, he just flicked at ball.
Oh yeah, my quick Midwestern man says it, about 45 50 yards in the air where he didn't even wind up.
It just was a flick and down.
All that goes on third down.
They give the ball to the running back in Jackman, gets not much gain.
Their, let's see if Walton calls a timeout, but that was kind of a defensive play there by Lasser.
To say, hey we've seen enough for the night.
Let's run the clock down and regroup for the second half.
I think that's exactly what's going to happen and Walton is not calling the timeout.
We're not going to stop at 25, so I think that's a good thing.
Assuming the kick would be what it would be, you'd be in deep field position.
So unless something unusual happens here as the clock ticks down, we're watching the last Ten seconds, tick off the clock.
Great High School football game Fletcher.
What do you think so far?
So good.
We've had a great one back and forth, they call it, the East Cobb, Super Bowl, and I can see why both of these two teams just like a couple of heavyweights going back and forth.
There's your halftime score Fletcher, Proctor will be back.
We'll be back in touch for Proctor.
Will tell you how we got to this point.
All right?
Joe Daniels and this is the second time the field.
I think that was a little too long.
Well, there might be one second left and they might have to come in and kick it.
So we've got the music playing, but we met I have to wait.
Here is called the world would laugh now.
You know what they're going to do here, Fletcher, they're going to do a farther than you think.
Play its fourth down but this will be the last play and they'll just rolled it out, right?
They'll just throw the ball as far as they can down the field and see if they can get a play.
The balls at the 40-yard line.
I have no doubt that Prince could get the ball down to the end zone from there because we've seen him flick at 50 yards.
I'm sure he can throw at 60.
Yeah, I think I think last year was kind of waiting out Walton and said if you will if you're going to let us take it all.
the way down fine because the Honored that they waited the longer that they waited, that's less, and less that you actually have to kick the ball away.
You know, if they had called a timeout immediately with 40 some seconds or 30 seconds whenever it was, then you have to kick the ball away.
But now last year said you're going to let us just be able to throw a fine cool, great.
So you got one of the best quarterbacks in the country.
Surely one of the best in state.
Gets a free play.
It's a long shot but we've seen crazier things happened.
Last night.
Our good buddy, Zach client WSB month Carmel.
They actually saw Eddie.
Ah, do a play.
Just like this right before halftime.
Were they just kind of threw it up and they came down with it.
Kind of an interesting thing.
The clock stopped with one or three ticks left on it, so they'll be no problem that the, that all of a sudden Walton would get the ball at the other end of the field.
But I guess something really silly could happen.
But in all likelihood, take a look here, though.
Joe on Dicky, who's headed to Ernie's got offers from Big Time programs, Oklahoma State, being one of them, on the other side, Ryan Jenkins, headed to Clemson.
I believe you're going to be able to throw us, both those guys who are over 6 foot.
I like those odds of somebody prints and the triggerman, of course, Eddie Prince.
So this should be the last plant monsters a penalty in the first half, back to throw his prints and he throws the short pass.
Now, they're going to do the hook and ladder.
The ball is caught by the running back and he's going to be tackled at the 45-yard line.
If you drop the ball because the beanbag came down, but that now is the final play of the game.
So Prince got the padded statistics by 25 yards.
We're now at halftime.
The score is what, wait a minute.
Now there's another penalty and you can't have it.
In a defense.
So let's wait and see what they called.
Their, I actually saw the bean bag on the field as well, Fletcher.
So and I assume that that it felt about their ego, they were doing it.
Now they finally say, after a couple of false starts, guys, play, the music will go.
To halftime 927 Walton.
We'll be back with our halftime and Rachel Daniels after this timeout.
Nothing prepares you better for a great career than the 25.

And we are back at halftime, the Lassiter marching band on the field Fletcher, Rachel be telling you more about them but they are one of the biggest you could see that already and one of the best high school bands in the country has won numerous Awards.
And I'm sure Rachel defined as a national championship.
National champions.
And unfortunately I guess you can tell us that before we get to the scores into plain that the brave season is coming to an end and a real bizarre way.
Yes indeed.
And you obviously have to check out those Is sites for more score, ETL.com or whatnot, for it.
But 63 the final score and there was a little bit of controversy in the bottom of the eighth, inning is the razor, trying to mount a comeback.
But be sure to check out some of those sites for a for all the bottom or for all the news.
But apparently, the fans were littering the field because they were so disgusted with a play, call something that I guess, a premature infield fly rule.
Yeah, infield fly rule.
That probably wasn't really on the infield.
So I'm not sure what they called it but hey, Hey, well, you do right coming out here.
It was a bizarre game to start with lots of funny things happen but you see the wall Lassiter band up there.
Fletcher, we got a good one.
I have to say a lot lower scoring and I thought but boy there's been a lot of play, a lot of activity, lot of up and down the field, but only is 16 points on the scoreboard.
Quite frankly, I'm a little surprised by that, but why don't you tell us how it got to be 927.
I certainly will here we go.
Go right to the replays opening opening dry.
This was laying Jackman on a seven yard, run to cap the opening drive, putting it right.
In there 7.
Nothing would be the score after these successful extra point Lassiter on top looking every bit.
Like the number two team in the state.
This play right here though, coming up next would not be good for the Walton.
Raiders, an interception by Chris Murphy is he was trying to just a real quick.
Slant was price Wilson but on the very next play, it would be given right back to the Walton.
Raiders, check this out.
Eddie friends looking looking looking throw into the end zone where he doesn't play for my team.
That's Colby Billings, he plays for Walt.
Obviously taking a knee right there and it would be won't ball early on in the second quarter, it would be a 1-yard quarterback sneak from Price Wilson to Junior stepping in as Parker, McLeod got injured in last week's.
Game will likely miss the next three to four weeks.
Couple plays later, Eddie Prince, at e-prints looking at e-prints looking throws it up.
Oh, that would have been six points by Willie police, but DJ Smith, makes a nice play to deflect the ball.
Just enough.
This was a big play coming on, leading to another Walton us.
Cory Drive.
Check out Brad green.
Always wide open.
He's running free.
62 yards later.
Eventually bringing it down, the Lassiter secondary, but they would bring them down inside the 20 yard line going from his own 18 to his own night, Earth to the opposition's 18 that would ultimately to a 51-yard field goal Up and Good by Anthony price, making it nine to seven take a look at this play right here though after a 50 yard run tire and Jones sniffing.
The End Zone to put the ball comes free mumbles after picking up.
What would have been a first and goal Lassiter recovers In The End Zone, but your score at halftime, Walt still leading, the Lassiter, Trojans 927 in there.
You see the Lassiter band out on the field, I happened to be walking by their practice before they came out, they have their own building just for the Band Here full of fine.
Arts section over there.
This, this Lassiter High School used to be one of the biggest high schools in the state.
I don't miss you.
Renovate just renovated this summer and in our oatmeal is telling me all about it looks like there's a few more things going on but it is an absolutely gorgeous campus.
And these folks in East Cobb, I think it's well known that East Cobb has some of the best schools in the entire state of Georgia and we are seeing two of them tonight and Lassiter and Walton and unlike some of the old days, they both played darn good football right now.
To is there the do both teams Advance the farthest they ever have one year ago and both obviously would like to advance Little bit farther this year.
All right there.
Yeah, then continues to play.
I know the band parents.
Appreciate how hard they work.
We certainly saw them working and they're one of our band alumni.

Night.
How can you let everybody know a little bit of information about walking high school?
Well, Walden High School's always been known for its academics and and we're very strong with academics.
We have 25 National Merit semifinalist this year, which is just very high for school of our size.
So we're excited about that and of course SAT scores were released and we're very excited about that but we're also very excited about our Band program that will be competing at the national.
Competition this year, our orchestra that has been invited to perform at the Midwest form which is very prestigious invitation and our course is also performing at the state music convention.
So our fine arts department is doing great.
And as you can see tonight, we have a great athletic department and our fall teams are doing great.
So we're excited about our start of the school year.
That sounds great.
And I have to say I love speaking to a lady principal I did Well, I'm very honored to be the Principal Walt and I think it's a privilege.
And I love our kids and our community, so it's great.
I'm privileged to be there.
Well, speaking of the community, we know that unless it is visitor side, the stadium is fans are kind of small, but they are packed there with the whole bunch of students and family members here to support their team.
So how important is having the community here to cheer them on?
So it's very, very important, our players all know and our band even though they'll be in a competition tomorrow, it's right here.
You play for them and our fans are very important to us.
I want to thank you so much, McNeil the speaking with you and I just enjoy Walton.
I've been there last year is a great school.
Thank you.
We always enjoyed having you.
So hopefully you'll be overdrive field before long.
Thank you so much.
And guys, we're gonna take a quick commercial break and we'll be right back with the Lassiter.

How are you?
I'm doing great this evening.
Well, we just saw what your band is currently on the field but we just saw them not too long ago.
Do they have fun show?
We missed what we did record some of it.
So can you briefly tell us about tonight's show?
Well, thank you so much.
Tonight is our 10th anniversary of the national championship game of 2002, so we're celebrating there.
Championship along with about 500 band along neither understands the shows the color of the wind and it's intended to give you the impression of being in the desert at very various types of days in the evening, the music of the composer run Nelson.
Okay.
So you guys had a practice for homecoming, so that's two shows.
Basically, you guys had to put on this week.
And I know that that is just an amazingly busy practice schedule.
So how are the band students holding up from that?
Well, we try to manage it within eight hours.
During the academic day, academic weak, excuse me, and an occasional Saturday practice is the practice last Saturday, when there's not an academic time.
And we'll start our as, you know what, traveling to the ton of Roses Parade in, in December or January 1st, we have installed that preparation just yet.
So we kind of pace it out on the course of the season so they can keep their academics up and keep the rest and and perform well for us.
Also, besides the Rose Parade coming up.
What other things do you have to season?
We have an opening of a beautiful last of the The hall a beautiful concert theater, to me of stealing your way in, it's a beautiful, but 10 million dollar facility, they should open up in early December.
So, we're busy with the concert band during the day hours, preparing for the grand opening.
In addition to the marching band after school, any other competitions, Battle of the Bands festivals things coming up, we have a competitive season 2 starts October 30th, it would doing local shows around Metro Atlanta primarily to save money and all of the go out into other parts of the southeastern region or to a national championship.
Not doing that this year because we'll be in California for seven days and six nights.
So economically.
I want to keep it close to the vest in terms of our travel no overnight accommodation until we get to California.
So that's essentially what we do with the competitive season.
All right.
Well want to thank you so much for speaking with us and good luck on tonight and the competitive season for the rest of the barracks marching band season football season, pretty much the same thing for a span people.
And guys, I am so interested to find out who was crowned homecoming.

Hey guys, and welcome back to the end of our halftime show.
If you can hear the loud crowd, you know that they have just announced the homecoming king and queen everybody out.
He looks absolutely spectacular.
I want to send Atkins a special.
Congratulations for tonight's Lassiter's homecoming, king and queen of 2012, and we're going to shoot it back up to the guys in the booth as we get ready for the second half of tonight's game.
Thank you very much.
Rachel has been a festive night and Fletcher we wouldn't make reference to the homecoming King, but he's a plane in the game tonight.
Yeah, I think it was ended up being number 40 Trent Gant.
So congratulations and it's all serious notes.
Let's get back to the scoreboard.
I really owe scoreboard, we have South Cobb.
They've rallied to take a A 17-14 lead over North Cobb.
Look at Brookwood pouring it onto que le now.
24, 2014 the Broncos lead on GPB television Kel still 28-nothing over Riverwood.
Camden County with a 32 to 6 lead over coffee.
Some other scores on the Aurelio scoreboard.
Waco leading, Lovett 2113.
Sequoia Creek View.
They're knotted up at 0 and a barn burner other scores that were keeping an eye on for you for the Aurelio's Pizza scoreboard.
We've got Lovejoy leading Rockdale Only 34.
Nothing at the half mceachran, all on top of Campbell 35-nothing, Harrison leading, Kennesaw Mountain, 7-nothing Hillgrove up on Pebblebrook at the half 17.
Nothing, some other scores that were watching for you.
Leake County.
They are 5 and 0 and they lead Hardaway 14-nothing Bainbridge and Thomas County Central.
They're knotted up at seven, South Gwinnett, 41, Burke, more 14, that's at halftime and take a look at that right there.
That's not the Aurelio's scoreboard.
It's Bob how thin it is lovely wife, 35 years, right help?
That's right.
Last week, we saw a picture from the last week in case you were wondering.
Yes, my wife of 35 years.
We, we put that picture in a scrapbook and my daughter for some reason.
Thought it was funny.
So, funny.
Nothing.
Look at the chestnut hair, right there was a strawberry blond of my partner here.
Bob help.
We would say it's still sort of look strawberry blond in the right light.
So we were actually at the Kentucky Derby.
And get rain down and sitting in the infield and the bus got stuck.
And we were some of the last people to leave the Kentucky Derby.
And my wife Vivian made up reminded the last Kentucky Derby.
So there you see some of the band playing and we're going to give it away or Fletcher, just let me ask you this.
Here ask me.
We talked during the break low-scoring game, kind of ask what's going to happen in the second half.
Of course, no one knows.
But you got to think that these Offenses are going to find their way and maybe a little bit more going on.
And with the game stays closed, a couple of touchdowns in the first half, a long field goal and a missed extra point.
That's how we got our scoring here.
I think we're going to see the offenses, kind of get a little more comfortable.
We'll see a couple of touchdowns a couple more field goals.
Perhaps I'm thinking we'll probably see each side throw up at least one more touchdown.
It's going to be who can throw up the other touchdown instead of the field goal here at the second half and the Walton team won the toss and deferred so they will get the ball first.
Sometimes it's not bad to play defense with coming out of things and now obviously last her took the ball right down the field.
Walt would love to match that coming back out but you get the three and out flip the field and all of a sudden you're in business.
So sometimes that first possession, it's definitely important, but it might be a little overrated who gets the edge out of it.
Well, I mean, you hear so often times about NFL teams or college teams, not so much in the high school level, but they actually script out the plays whether they have eight plays that they're going to go immediately with the entire first drive or what not, But I would imagine that several of those plays that lasted around the opening drive, we're script it out.
It's really a chance.
You can do kind of the same thing, the second half, especially when a game.
Is this close?
You don't have to either try to protect the lead or try to go out there and and rally bag.
This is almost close enough.
It's only a two point different, so you'll kind of see, I think both teams attack.
Like it's almost a 0-0 game.
You bring up a very interesting point about the script because the that was the best balance that Lassiter showed the Game was in the first drive.
It was exactly half passes, half rushing, the rest of the night.
They've been more past happy well, we'll get to see what Lassiter wants to do here defensively.
What adjustments?
They've made how they can try to stop Tyrant Jones and we'll see if Walton continues to dump the ball off to their running back tire and Jones Allstate candidate or if they want to put the ball in the hands of their junior quarterback, good kick will make it towards the goal line and go into the end zone.
So that the car Smith and TJ Smith of the car Stewart, where looking for a run back, but that line drive kick just barely got over their head and into the end zone.
So, Walt will take over first and 10 at their own 20 leading 927 set the scene.
Fletcher, I will the homecoming King trick.
Gant is going to lead that team out there.
The Lassiter attack, he's joining the defensive line by CJ Amman and Monet their linebackers gonna be Ryan Gilda, Josh Danforth, jamesrowe their safeties, jxp's James, and Clay roll as well as Patrick Lewandowski are cornerbacks Robert Dowling and Chris Murphy.
Price Wilson the quarterback bunch of flip-flopping by Walton right now.
He's got Tyrone Jones behind him as the lone setback.
Along count on First and 10, gives the ball to Jones brought down at the 20 s, manages to break a tackle and fall forward for a gain of a yard or two brings up second down and nine.
Now we saw in the first half Tyrant Jones kind of get going a little bit too had a 50 yard run he had some other runs where looked really impressive very rarely held behind the line of scrimmage.
He did have the one costly fumbles.
It looked like they it wasn't going to be a touchdown but was going to put them in a prime position to first and goal, you know, he wants to atone for that mistake especially It is first trip back to the Frank as a member of someone else, because they used to be, remember Bob, a Lassiter Trojan and your efforts and of course, the fact what you just finished off by saying there and now all of a sudden after just a few seconds, Walton takes a timeout.
Now, you take those timeouts in the first half, you kind of cringe.
When you take him in the second half, you do a deep cringe because those timeouts can be so valuable and to take one on second and 9 36 seconds into the first half, they must have been really confused and just wanted to make sure they Didn't ya, I may disagree with you a little bit.
I don't think you necessarily cringe in the first half because that's what the timeouts are used for the second half.
I would agree with you.
It is a deep cringe because you want to save those if need be at the end of the game where you can stop the clock to try to get the ball back.
Now, this is obviously one of those situations where it's so important that the timeout was needed because they didn't want to bring up a third and long.
But you know, that the coaching staff Rocky doggone company hate to have to burn a timeout, this Earth and maybe they even felt they were This organized it's something could lead to what you definitely don't want to turn over.
Turn over absolutely just under way.
In the second half we get a chance.
We're going to get some shots of the crowd because they are standing everywhere, especially on the south end of this field and it's just a wonderful atmosphere here homecoming, to schools very close.
They Know Each Other Well and there's been some chipping is both on the field and off the field so far back to throw on second down and throws the ball behind his man and almost intercepted great defensive play there.
Living dorsky made a nice play to kind of cut underneath the wide receiver knew.
He wasn't going to get the interception but he batted it to the ground.
And lavender sea has four interceptions on the season.
Two of them returned for touchdowns.
He's a Sikh.
Play candidate out there at the free safety position and he's all Centerfield made quite a few good tackles for me.
I noticed when I was looking at it that tackles up by Lassiter made by their front seven.
A lot of times you see the defensive backs with a lot of tackles and of course you never want to see that in here.
The top five tacklers are all Linebackers and linemen except Lyman do ski there.
So 2nd or 3rd down and 9 from the 22 yard line.
Loan quarterback.
Nobody behind in the backfield he's mean Chase he's going to get sacked and watch all the way down at the 10 yard line coming up at the nice play.
Get some credit to the man who just would not quit 43, that was Ryan Gilda.
It comes through their makes a nice play grabs.
Hold of that Jersey does not let go look at Guild lay right here.
Do they just come back field?
They knew that they could just come strong and they did in a big loss all the way back to the tent brings up second down and 20 our fourth down and 20 Fletcher.
Kind of what we talked about while we were waiting for the half to start, sometimes that Advantage, goes away real quickly and Lassiter's going to get great field position probably in Walton territory.
As the kicker will be making the kick from his own End Zone.
Yeah.
Despite the fact that you have two players who are SEC, watch it group, despite the fact that the line for Walden has to ICC candidates, when there's People sent that you have blocking, they're going to get you every time and the ball bounces at the 40 and a Walton, man grabs it right there.
So actually they're putting them both.
Now they're getting the ball to the right, yard line at the 40 yard line, First and Ten from there.
So, Lassiter takes over an excellent field position at the 41-yard line of Walton just under way.
In the third quarter Lassiter's got a chance to flip, the scoreboard is the home team trails at homecoming.
The number two, team in a state trailing 927?
Well, you know, there's no Panic for the Lassiter.
Trojans.
From the pistol.
This time, they hand the ball off to Jackman and the right side, 40 down to about the 37-yard line.
Nice gain on first down brings up second down, and five, not so much this year, had they had to come back and rally usually their, their defense has done a great job of holding the other team scoreless in the first quarter, or even in the first half, their offensive, been able to jump out.
But last year, they had to Rally several times down the stretch and in the playoffs and they are able to do it no problem.
A lot of these guys still on the T, three Road games last year to pay off the last time, they're in a pistol.
I think that was the First time, all night.
Now they're back in the spread shotgun back to throw.
Fakes it to the left side looks long.
We've got a man wide open down.
The field catches ball 2 pi r 215 Out of Bounds at the 10.
That's Willie police getting open and caught the ball.
Got his feet down and went out of Bounds at the 11 yard line.
We'll probably see here on replay but they only had one man trying to split the coverage hoping to get a little bit of safety health and Prince just said right there at the pump fake which where you going.
Okay, I'll just go to the other guy, eventually the safety, help comes over, but not in time.
Nice play.
There aren't first down they hand.
The ball Statue of Liberty on the Statue of Liberty, inside the 10 down to the 5 yard line match Jackman.
Again gaining about seven yards on first down bringing up second and very short.
There's the mat.
What they did the first time they scored, they mixed up the pass and run first time since then that they did it on this dry.
Yeah, they can get a first down before getting a touchdown.
They're about Three Arch short to yard short.
Maybe from the five, the goal line is five yards away.
The first down is three yards away.
And second and short, but a Man in Motion, gives it to that most other fake to the manage wide open in the end zone flag down in a missed them.
It was a, it was wide open.
There wasn't a white shirt within five yards of them but let's check the penalty.
The we'll have to see.
Maybe that would not have counted it.
I get the feeling that wouldn't have.
I think it's deformation penalty called so now would be third down and three or do you take the penalty and back him up to the 10 yard line?
Making it second and seven?
I think you take the penalty, he pushing back a little bit, although if you do that, it gives a passing team more room to operate.
More room to operate and you give Prince twice as many chances to throw it in the end zone, that it would be unusual to turn down this penalty.
But let's see what Walton does.
I think if you do accept the penalty Bob, here's where I'll just play Devil's Advocate and make the make the argument for We've seen Jackman, be very successful.
Running the ball.
If you're, if you back him up your oven saying pass it, you have to pass it.
Well, you have the unusual situation right now that the Lassiter quarterbacks up their lobbying.
We want the penalty, they want the five years, only one more place, and he wants the down, I think.
And it looks like they're going to take the penalty.
Finally, after much discussion on that very unusual where you never turn down a penalty, but if there was ever a time to maybe consider it but your, that was probably It only offense five-yard penalty, so now they've got 20 yards and field to work with into Downs to get me.
That was funny.
Prince was definitely lobbying for the penalty.
He wanted that extra space three men to the top of the screen to men to the bottom of the screen.
Nobody behind Prince, the direct snap will come in a second to him.
Now, they're changing the play.
And he'll go back under Center and talk.
He won't stay there.
He will take the direct snap I don't I don't think he's taking a direction, I've been all year now from the spread he's back, he's looking, he's going to run with the ball at the 10, the five cuts back at the goal line.
And let's see if they get the touchdown.
He did touch down in any friends.
10 yards.
I'm not sure, but I think that my fee is longest run all year.
And that was a design play all the way spread the field with five wide receivers and took off on a quarterback drop.
Well, if that was the design play, did a good job of selling it right there.
He saw, his guys were covered up and he just immediately ran to the end zone and found Pay Dirt.
Well, they're going to try the extra point here and then hopefully we'll see the replay but I thought they was a dry run all the way and he got into the end zone.
The placement of the kick, the kick is up and away, and I'll wait and make sure I see the referee say good, this time your new score.
Now, Home team Lassiter number two in the state fourteen Walton 9 will be back with the last summer kickoff.
Here's the replay right now.
Look at and just determine getting into that end zone.
Touchdown, that he prints.
What do you think?
Was it a designed play or not music playing Fletcher, doesn't agree with me score, 14 and 9.
We back with the kickoff.
After this timeout.
Sonic flat mounts are really bringing me my taste buds closer together.
Oh, that's nice, you guys are close.
It's like we're not even taste buds were taste Bros. Oh okay.
It's like, we all went through some real cool nature experience together.
But things didn't get weird.
Is the point of this that I'm not in on it, you make your own relationships.
You seek out your own peer group.
Now, I found mine barbecue feast in the palm of your hand.
New Hickory Flat Melt sandwiches.
Grab one with the real ice cream shake just half-price after 8 p.m., but your Proctor and pop out.
We're having a little bit of the conversation during that commercial for Sonic.
I thought it was a quarterback dry.
You said he was looking for Willie pull Lis and then ran with it.
I He was gonna look for One play only police because he didn't look anywhere else.
I think Walton realized that they doubled him up and then all of a sudden, the Seas parted me decided to run but I think it was I think in that case it was a past first.
Import course you know a chipper with say nope exactly how I called it an important drive.
Now for Walton the Lassiter back ahead last time that will last forever.
Got a head Walton after a series of giving back.
Finally took the lead down by five.
The ball goes in the end zone.
So Walt will take over first and 10 under.
Roan 3:20 and out to start the second half.
Well, first drive in the first half last year, marches all the way down the field touchdown first drive for the loss of their offense in the second half after a three and out by Walton short field date.
It is a short field but they managed to drive it.
40 plus yards, they get a touchdown.
Now, they were unable to do.
Anything else has to last that are sees me as the Walt defense buckle down, but again, the demons is kind of put the offense in a catch-up mode.
So we'll see how the offense response.
Remember the first time that Don't have the ball in the first half three and out after a score, and they had three and out before score.
This time, setting up the easy short field for him, man in motion first and 10 from the 20 yard line, they give the ball to Jones left side.
20 cuts it back at the 25 head, down near the 31st and 10 running hard.
He did have one carried on the first drive here in the second half but his last touch was a fumble, you know, he kind of wants to atone for that.
There's the right and you said running hard.
Here's the definition of it right there.
Putting his head down.
He's getting hit in the backfield.
Got hit a couple times or touched at least before he finally.
I don't think you got, okay.
They are going to say got the first down across the 30 so First and Ten just the 30-yard line.
The ball just under way in the second half Lassiter leading 8:46 that was a great run for 10 yards.
He gets the ball going the other way this time 35 36 37 yard line very near another first down to be a couple yards short this time with picks up eight and first down he takes a pounding right here of 164 carries through five games.
Coming into this game.
Look, he just got dinged a couple of times there before he finally turns it up.
Not a first down but an 8-yard run right there.
They certainly let him tote the male young man, Drew Brees Petula, Tuscaloosa, Alabama here next year.
And what they like is when how many yards they gain after the first touch.
And on both those runs significant, yardage second down and short from the 38 yard line, hands the ball to Jones.
Again this time, he's met in the backfield and brought down for a couple of yards lost 12 time to the well yeah, that's the first time I We can remember though that he was not at least able to get back in line of scrimmage.
Good job there of collapsing that time.
He didn't get that north-south motion going.
I got his leg stopped and they stood him up and then there was a whole bunch of help and by the way, if anybody Jake Boynton and the finisher akka blonde, oh sure.
The Talented players.
But they ought to thank Tyrant Jones for making them look good too.
Because if you're an offensive lineman and you got a guy who's totally male like he is they must think these this line must be dominant four, guys on this team.
Going to DC schools, next year.
That's pretty impressive.
One team, third down and six for from the 36 they have to get just past the 40 yard line, Jones has the ball and he gets just past the 40 yard line for yet another first down for Walton, Dives and gets it.
And again, so impressive after the first hit still Falls forward turns his yard legs for a couple extra yards that to yards.
They needed for the first down.
So he gets five big yards right there and and we talked About, you know, just how important players are to their teams.
How important is that he prints to this Lassiter Squad, he's the quarterback.
But how important is tire and Jones?
They've they've lost Pat are Parker McLeod yet.
They're still hanging with the number two.
Team in the state.
You can't say that about many teams.
When you lose a quarterback going to Alabama at, they're still able to compete.
It's because of number one and they do the end around this time.
Hey, with the ball at the 45 across the 45 to the 47 yard line.
A was DJ Smith, making the carrion getting five or six yards.
First down, getting the ball ahead of the chains brings up second down and manageable and you talk about players.
You're going to SEC programs next year.
DJ Smith, only a junior, but he's already got a couple of SEC offers.
So between the way locks last year between McLeod and Boynton and Anka blonde, oh, and, and Jones this year, and now, DJ Smith next year.
Goodness gracious, Walton is becoming a factor other than Buford sending about half their team to division 1 schools.
I don't think I've seen in all the years we've been doing it, this many SEC players on the field.
Hands down.
You'll give them a run for their money.
But you acted out in five here's Jones this time.
He's met and going to be brought down for it's very little gain.
Maybe got a yard not much more.
Brings up third down and about five, big drive right here for Walton to kind of re-establish control this game if they can.
And this is a big play of that big drive, because third down is a chance for Lassiter to get off the field with very little Damage Done.
Whereas Walton wants to get this first down and keep their defense on the sidelines if I'd asked you for a check.
As to what they wanted to accomplish on this drive, they've done that they've gotten the ball to Midfield.
They've done that flipping of the field.
They're not going to be satisfied.
They're going to give them all the mr. Jones and see if they can get another first down and of course points.
But they've done what they needed to do.
At least in re-establish them offense.
The ball is handed to Jones Way outside.
He's running with the ball, this time cuts it back at the 50 and he's there's a flag down.
He's going to be short of the first down but there's also a penalty on top of it.
I think that went down, I think they'll turn the down because it is a whole going inside Walton.
That's Going to get them off the field.
That's big for the Lassiter defense because it's going to even know you're right.
They're able to are going to be able to flip the field, on them.
At least.
It gets that offense back out there for the last year.
Trojans, that about the whitest East-West run.
We've seen Jones make all night.
He's pretty much a north and south Runner.
He went away outside on that one and he was trying to follow his blockers and yeah, Fant fantastic job string.
I didn't critical just making the observation.
I think it's the first time he's been outside.
The end all night.
Interesting decision right here.
You're going to take The penalty I guess because it was so far in the back field that they're going to say, hey, here's a chance to kind of us first to get some of that yardage back.
More like a 15-yard penalty from the spot of the ball all the way back to the 33-yard line, heads up play by the coach there to take this penalty because that is going to negate some of that field position.
They got the ball all the way up to Midfield.
Now they're back at the 33-yard line in a stop here.
Good field position while at least okay, field position for Lassiter.
Let's see what happens.
They disrespected the quarterback, let's see if he can make them pay.
Nope, they're going to get them.
Bringing them down.
Is that the homecoming King?
It is again, Trent Dance, he's having a good night except for the penalty.
He's having a very good night.
I think that's his second or maybe third sack of the.
Now if we had done the checklist and I said they accomplished their thing, all this to gain five yards, they're going to be kicking from the 25 yard line.
And instead of flipping the field Lassiter's going to get great field position again.
And Robert Dowling is going to try to do something special with the ball.
He's he's going to put his heels down at probably about his own.
45 yard line.
See what he can do.
Try to cut up in there.
He's had some rot long run back to this year here.
In fact, he was averaging about 12 yards a carry, but he hasn't had a chance.
Here comes a block and he got the quarterback.
Did they get the ball?
I think there was enough of the ball of God and so and dropped the 36 yard line.
The kicker is limping off the field and that's not a fake, but if he was touched, they can do anything.
They want to the kicker.
I'm not sure.
Did anybody?
It looked like he almost couldn't.
Tackle the punter right there?
Yeah, it was a miracle that it wasn't black, but the ball had to be touched and obviously the referee could see that it was me.
Young man is limping off the field right now.
Trent what's what really got hit hard on that one and was result was about a 12 yard kick, maybe.
Not even that long and in a five or six year return.
Here it is Fletcher.
Look, he's almost able to, I'm surprised you didn't just snatch that ball from what it looked like he would have had the ability to just as the punter was dropping it pluck the ball out of the air.
Great field position for Lassiter history, back to throw on the pistol, throwing long down, the field and incomplete, I want to say a great defensive play there, but he broke the rule, though.
He had already in the hole is face dirty.
What he did is not you, he had such a, he had his back to the ball.
So he was very, very lucky to get away with that, but he was close to him.
I'll give him that.
But boy, you don't like to see a past Defender with his back on the play there.
Let's see if we see this one and now there's another injury.
so, we Yeah, he was trying to go for the jugular on the very first play.
Throw in a deep to the big play.
Man, Ryan Jenkins the first year over at Lassiter from Milton high school and goes to the end zone but incomplete pass believe that's what I was gonna say.
That's Adam Hamilton but it's 57 Sam would the left tackle.
That was injured on it the good news is he's now limping off but he's walking it off as he goes.
So it's a second down and 10 I really is pizza scoreboard, real quick Kel up on River would 6:32 look hand and County.
32 26 price Ramsey one of the other great quarterbacks here in the state.
Thanks to a really owes pizza for sponsoring our Scoreboard on the pistol.
Second down and ten.
They give the ball.
He'd to heat to sheet.
And he tries to right side.
Maybe gets three or four yards, brings up third down and 10.
He more, those are really is pizza.
Scoreboard, Creek View, Sukhoi still scoreless, Waco leading, love it.
21 to 13.
North Cobb still trailing, South Cobb by three.
South Cobb up, 17:14 and Brookwood leading to que le 24 214.
Thanks to early as Pizza, the ball at the 25 yard line.
The line to make is the 17, third down and eight Lassiter, changing the play at the line.
There's a man.
Flanking him on his left side back.
He's going to hand it to that man.
So he did.
And he's brought down for a loss.
Excellent, excellent play.
It was patient.
He waited it out, Ridge, Gibson.
He kind of said, I think this might be a situation where the draw could come.
He stayed at home.
Once Prince had did the draw executed it, boom, Gibson.
Right there to bring him down.
So now we're going to have a field goal, it's a five-point game.
So a field goal successful here would make it an eight-point game.
So this is an important kick.
The ball is going to be spotted just inside the 35 yard line.
So they'll call it a 44 yard kick but it's almost 44 yards and 24 inches.
Yeah, that's going to say it's 44 yards and 35 35 inches.
I couldn't remember.
How many inches to wearing a foot?
I mean a yard.
All right, from the 45-yard line, we're going to call it now.
Italy is going to be called.
So if this is a delay of game that will probably make it, it's gonna take it upon.
I think they might have had another timeout or was that a substitution?
I know.
So, Five-yard penalty.
Well, that's going to push it back to the 40 and I don't know it's going to be a 49 and 35 inches.
So that's a long one right there was only a very slow on the other way and there is no wind as we've pointed out several times so they can that is not a factor at all now because people generally put it in, move it back, eight yards instead of 7.
So it's now a 51-yard kick.
So there's some symmetry there Fletcher.
I like it.
I like where your head's at Bob Walton made a 51-yard ER and now Theaters trying to match it to give an eight-point lead.
Snap is a good one.
That's a fake.
They're rolling to the right.
Looking back to the left whole bunch of people chasing it.
And nobody's going to catch up with it.
I think he was trying to get the ball to the kicker, but the past was just overthrown.
So you think they were faking all the way even from the shorter distance?
I think the shorter isn't, they were going to try it but the longer distance, they obviously decided.
You know what?
Nope, let's try a fake.
I'm not sure that even would have been closed, not sure what evening clothes if he called it.
So let's look at see here just to I thought working every player but Let's just real, I guess we're gonna take a quick break.
We'll be back with a Walton huddle art play after this timeout.
You have to seize any advantage, you can get to build a career even while you're still in high school, that's why the technical college system of Georgia offers dual enrollment, you earn college and height.
All right, we're back First.
And Ten from the 31 yard line to hand the ball to Jones.
He busts the ball up to the right side.
He's trying to make a plan.
You're not gonna let them horse-collar tackle, those what's going to be good?
Corporate was right on top, and we're right beside the Walton coaches.
They were screaming for it, and that's a horse collar.
That was people in the crowd Be angry about it, but the eat, that's how we brought him down.
Put your, let's kind of review.
White hair people.
If we see the replay here, he grabbed the shirt and the shirts.
Punim, but did he grab the back of the horse power to bring him down?
Look at this.
This is watch.
Watch him.
Grab the Jersey, which is legal, but then he's going to they're picking it up.
I thought his hand got in there.
Wow.
Wow.
Jeff Irwin and his coaching staff lobbied hard.
So that's going to be a six yard loss instead of a In yard penalty.
But I thought the hand got up in there after because the Jersey grab is legal, but I thought the hand got in there to bring him down.
Fletcher, let's just talk quickly since Walton got the kick on the 20, they moved all the way to the 50, back to the 25 yard line had a punt blocked.
Lassiter gets the 20, then they go backwards now.
Waltons, got the ball.
We've been playing the game between the 20 and 35 yard line for what seems like about 10 minutes.
There's only two minutes to go in the third quarter.
They'll hand the ball, the junk tries the left side, they bottle them up again.
No game.
Third and long and last year playing some inspired ball right now.
This is homecoming.
They're going against their former player who just gashed in.
One year ago, they are anxious to kind of bottle up Tyron Jones as best.
They can that they'll probably let him have his plenty of yardage.
As long as maybe they hold them out of the end zone and they can walk out of here at the victory here at the front.
Well, the key thing and the last few plays they've been getting him before he gets that north-south movement and that's the key.
You stopping any running back but especially someone like Jones who now comes out and the flat.
They'll be basically an empty backfield.
Maybe watch a play right here where it's some sort of screening or if they put him in motion or something like that, they got three men on the bottom of the screen including the Superstar and that's exactly what they set up Fletcher 2529.
Maybe the 30 yard right great call by you Fletcher there.
That's exactly what they did.
But all they were able to do is get back, almost the original line of scrimmage and bring up third down, fourth down and long and they'll take it.
Away.
Well, the big play was on first down where they were able to stop them if it is, in fact, a horse-collar tackle but that's going to be a big play right there to going against last year.
Defense.
As it turns out, it was a big stop by Lassiter's defense.
They were able to push it back behind the line of scrimmage they shut down Tyrant Jones easily on second down.
They sniffed out the screen.
That was a very big stand for the last.
34 went said his last kick black and got a little shaken up.
He will be standing at his get the kick away from about his own 20 yard line.
Good snap, the kick is almost Act again, this is his best kick in the night lands at the 40.
Takes a big bounce inside 230 all the way down near the 20.
And we'll go inside the 20 all the way down to the 18 yard line and that was by far his best kick in the night and certainly the best result of the night.
Nice, flipping of the field.
They're all of a sudden we're going to still play in between almost a 20 in the 30 but it's going to be the other end of the field which I think Waltons defense will be much appreciative of.
That was a 50-plus yard kick in when that hit the AstroTurf it was just Bouncing in the right direction, 20 yards after it, hit the ground, probably all the way down inside the 20 to the 19-yard line, or in the final minute already of this.
Third fast-moving, third quarter.
Yeah, we've seen, uh, the defense has come to play.
We've seen some running here.
We've also seen thanks to a short field last year getting an early score here to take the lead 8:46.
But Eddie prints back in.
The round is 20 yard line ready to go from the pistol.
He hands the ball to his Beckman.
That's Jackman on the right side.
Gets up.
Back across the 20, up to the 25th, big gain on first down second and four.
I know that they have a nice rotation.
I know Akeem.
Shaheed is had some nice carries coming into this game and has more touchdowns actually than than it does the other running back.
But it just seems like, when Jackman's in there, for whatever reasons offense, just seems to flow a little better.
Statistics are almost exactly the same but I couldn't agree with you more.
When he's in there, they're running game, just seems more established.
He's only a child but their touchdowns of come with him and They backed the throw.
Prince has a man Open Hands on with the 35-yard line gets a block and gets out of Bounds at about the 38-yard like Willie police blocking for Blake Wilson White's on a day.
She will say boy, that thing that pass was again, I can't say the numbers because it was right in the belt buckle, that it was right.
Smack dab in the middle of the aisle.
Santa's belly button helps a lot.
Like Charlie had, you just did a year ago, making some nice plays run anybody but he makes a nice catches and makes a good move.
I saw something of certainty even I could have caught that ball with such a good pass here.
Jackman again, this time, they're ready for many games.
I guess I see the skepticism your voice.
You're probably, right?
I couldn't have caught.
I don't think you could have caught that, but that pass was picture-perfect Jackman on first down, gets back to the line of scrimmage second and ten.
And there's the end of the quarter, we played 36 minutes, the home team at homecoming.
The number two team in the state hanging at 8:46, will be back with the fourth quarter.
After this timeout.

Even four of them in a row and you know what?
That's just the way we like it.
When you come, when you get number 2 versus number 6, you get a game like this 8:46.
As we get ready to start quarter number four, there hasn't been a lot of scoring like we had in the Calhoun Carrollton game a couple weeks back.
It's been just as entertaining of a game back and forth both teams, making big plays Lassiter with a double and around, gives the ball to the third man at the 30.
35, 40 seconds.
Big yawn at the 50 40 and slips and falls inside the 35 yard line.
I think they're going to Mm anyway, but I don't think they're going to get a much more than another 10 or 15 yards down the field.
Was that a double or a triple reverse Fletcher?
Count them for me.
When we go only release was coming through and it was a pitch forward that little show we call as we saw earlier.
Watch a little bit one police and it's just to reverse to Ryan Jenkins.
Now, this actually could have been called a horse collar, bone - he just gets the Jersey.
Yeah.
Take that for what you will the boat teams and he didn't slip.
He was brought down from behind there but a big gain on On first down the first play of the third fourth quarter gets it all the way down to the Walton 33-yard line back to throw his prints.
Looking long has a man open down the field in the ball is caught at the 5-yard line, and he beats DJ Smith college the best cover Corner.
Walt has they went over top and finally connect with Ryan Jenkins.
Jenkins, making the catch here.
We'll see it on replay.
Now, Ryan Jacobson someone that just carried on that reverse and then they go up top to him and EJ Smith, just can't quite catch up to the ball all the way down to the 3, yard line first and go, I'm not going to call it a knockout punch, but it sure would sure be a doozy if they can get it into the end zone leading by five just underway in the fourth, quarters from the Wildcat police running to the left side.
Nothing doing gets brought down at the line of scrimmage brings up second and goal from the 3.
Now we've seen Willie police in there as a slot receiver which is, he's been all night.
But again, he comes on a little bit of a reverse.
It's a very quick handoff to him kind of a really quick reverse if you want to call that but he goes in motion and even though he's listed as a run as a wide receiver Bob, he does a lot of running for.
Yes, he definitely has the third amount of yards on the team really.
Police is 230 yards.
He said he receiver coming in the leading receiver, but on second down they hand the ball off and brought down near the goal.
Goal line but I don't think he got in that was Josh Danforth Bob and I think he's going to come up, just short.
He's a middle linebacker but he's also listed as a backup fullback in the remember.
Bob, he was the one last year that had never played before was really into MMA and said, hey, let me give this a chance.
I think he was a very good wrestler and just said, hey, let me, let me play a little football Twilight to hit people.
This ball is, we've been down here before but sure this is on the six-inch line.
Third down, here we go.
The handoff is a damn truck.
But did he get in?
I don't know.
They haven't put their hands up yet and I don't know what we're going to see.
This is one of my pet peeves and all the sudden they call touchdown, but I don't think they're going to, they're going all fourth down.
He got stood up behind the line of scrimmage.
I've never understood that either all this in the referees converge and then they decided this touches but it is definitely four down territory.
And let's see that nose of the football is about an inch or two away, and they do have praise and honor.
The center still enhance.
Fourth is the man.
Here's the fourth down.
Play they handed off his infant.
That stuff.
He did you see right there while yes, four touchdowns coming into this game.
It took four downs from inside the three.
But Lassiter has broken this game.
Open your new score with nine minutes and 30 seconds to play the number two team in the state Lassiter, 20 Walton 9, they'll be in for an extra point here to see if we can expand the lead to more than 11.
Because away and through, and you can see the crowd is very excited.
Fletcher, your new score, 21, 299 million, the wait, let's wait and see, we will hang out here, guys.
I thought that there is a penalty flag down or went to wait and see, and I guess, Fletcher, if against Walton maybe they'd go for to, I don't know.
Let's wait and see what it is going to be against Lassiter.
So be long extra point if that's the case he's coming over to talk to.
Sherwin right now.
To tell them what happened.
Exactly.
Looks like it's only a five yard penalty.
So should be routine.
Back him up just giving a chance to show that leg off even more young, man, a solid kicker, like a formation on the offense, replay the down, they lead by 11 right now.
So the deer to 11 and 12, there's no such thing as an insignificant point but that's about as close as you're going to come to one right now.
Anyway, well, in 11:49 would make it two touchdowns.
Instead of a touchdown, a two-point conversion in a field goal.
I'll take your.
We're actually 11.
I guess you could go for a dance.
I've got it.
All right, nine and a half minutes to play and now there's another Flag Day.
Back them up again.
Well, now all of a sudden, there's a little meat on that bone.
Well, they just must have be lining up.
Obviously, there's a penny, they lined up wrong, but they must have done the same thing.
Again.
We'll wait and see what answers clapping and saying that it's wall on Walt.
So how can a defense line up wrong.
Well, if they jumped we are good, buddy, Alan smithee.
Oldest that there's no such thing as all sizes.
Encroachment, that's what it was in crochet, immediately blow it dead back and forth.
We go we were playing between the 20s and 30 down there.
Now we're playing between the three and the eight, just trying to get this extra point.
Kicked still nine minutes and 30 seconds to go in the game and 11-point Lead.
And the snap is down, and the kick is away and good again.
This time looking around, no laundry on the field.
What do you want to break and be back with the kickoff after this timeout?
Sonic flat mounts are really bringing me my taste buds closer together.
Oh, that's nice, you guys are close.
It's like we're not even taste buds for Taste Bros. Oh, okay.
It's like we all went through some real cool nature experience together.
But things didn't get weird.
Is the point of this that I'm not in on it, you make your own relationships.
You seek out your own peer group.
Now, I found mine, a barbecue feast in the palm of your hand.
New Hickory Flat Melt sandwiches.
Grab one with the real ice cream shake.
Just have price after 8 p.m. this is how you Sonic.
9 minutes, 30 seconds ago.
Fletcher, give me your checklist it's got to end in points.
It certainly does have to end in points and we're getting down to it.
Now you've already burned one of your time out to remember the the on the second down play on the opening drive you to burn a timeout.
So you're going to need not just points at this point.
My friend Bob you're down 12 points which is to touch down territory.
You're going to get a touchdown on this drive especially if you're gonna run the ball consistently with Tyra Jones, two guys that Do a tyrant Jones and DJ Smith back deep but almost every kick on both sides have gone into the end zone tonight.
But they need something good to happen.
And they mean it to happen relatively quickly clock not affect or yet, but darn close.
Now, the last minute substitution, they're not sure if a referee saw that.
That was 100% copacetic Fletcher, but there's 11 people out there.
Let's let me know but they switch tonight, you know, I guess it wasn't a huddle, so they probably get away with it.
Now, we're finally ready to go.
The kick is going to make it.
No, it isn't George catches, the ball at the one.
Actually knocked it down, like a volleyball player at the 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 from going out of bounds, just short of the 30 yard line and Fletcher.
He just did his best to bet that ball from going in.
End Zone that young man wanted and run that one back and he got an extra nine or ten yard ever seen this before.
Watch this.
Well he was able to he kind of went up watching right here it goes up.
Not able to secure it but the ball bounces right to him.
It's an interesting shape, the football so that ball could have squirt away, but just so happened to bounce, right?
Back up to him.
He nearly gets it out to the 30 yard line.
So an extra nine yards so often when the ball hits the ground funny things happen and kickoffs, and that one got it back to the 29 yard line.
Good job of Defense, by Lassiter First and Ten from the 29-yard line.
They give the ball to Jones.
There we go.
On the left side to 35, 40 first down across the 43, yard line, Fine.
They were trying to go for a strip right there but Tyrant Jones.
You've got to bring them down.
You can't worry about getting a bumble from my know, they fumbled, or he fumbled early in the first half.
But I think that was more of a fluke thing.
You've got to worry about bringing this young man down because he is a force at it close to 20 pounds of muscle in the offseason Bob, even though a lot of his yards comes after his first hit.
If the first hit is behind the line of scrimmage, there usually isn't much more 20 kits that two or three steps and then gets hit, he's almost impossible to stop wrote without a few more.
Games while at the 43 yard line First and Ten from there, they bring a blocking back in to help.
They give the ball to Jones left side, 4546, paint, three yards.
Brings up a second down and seven and I know that there's eight minutes and 43 seconds left, but if this is the offense you want to run.
I think you need to run with a little bit more.
Urgency back up to the line because time is wasting right now.
Black is not a factor yet but there is no room for do this.
There's no room for error, they just Have to get the ball in the end zone and sooner would be better than later.
Clock is about 28 minutes and 20 seconds, and moving in the fourth quarter, Lassiter leading by 12, 8:39 second down and seven man.
Flanking from the shotgun puts Jones in motion.
He faked to him, looking to throw going over to Mill.
Has hit his head.
Definitely hit a layer.
Yes, I think you're right for his own pleasure because it was really only one man down the field but fortunately, it was so short that there was nobody in here because that would have been an easy pick for somebody.
If they The way it was wobbling.
Yeah.
That I think his own Man actually bumped into him which forced to an interesting short throw their but 803 left and I think Waltons got no somebody's calling timeout.
Let's see here.
Let's see if we can see the quarterback.
Getting hit here.
Was by his own man or what happened.
Can't tell that.
Look at them last night up in the air, lock the offensive line that almost right into him.
I think maybe he had to take a step as he was throwing, didn't get a lot of my ball third down and eight.
The line to make is the 47-yard line of Lassiter there at the 45-yard line.
46-yard line of Walton, there have been put the Man in Motion, back to throw looking his way now, the quarterbacks going to get hit again Loss of two yards and Fletcher.
Every time they go to the empty backfield Lassiter, just comes with guns loaded and it just that is not a good formation for Walton because Lessard look at them.
Come here and stop this play for a loss.
It looks like maybe a long developing play.
He needs to just get rid of that ball.
He knows if these that Lassiter is going to come in a situation like that, he's a Young quarterback.
So maybe that comes with, with experience in time, but he needs to realize, I've only got maybe two Mississippi's to throw this ball, but almost every time they've emptied it back.
Field.
The result has been a very aggressive defensive move.
7:23 to play clock movie.
The kick is a, is a way, hi spiral.
And if there was a fair catch or not at the 19-yard, I think they're going to give it to him.
But that was a very last second called for a fair catch Lassiter, doesn't really have the type of offense, sir.
We'll see some scores.
Let's see the Aurelio's Pizza scoreboard real quick.
South Cobb still upon North Cobb 1714 Brookwood.
Now, putting the pedal to the metal against a que le thirty eight to 14.
The Broncos busting out Bell still on top of river.
Which 6:32.
Looks like coffees, put a touchdown on the board.
They still Trail Camden County though.
32 to 12 Camden County.
Number one in the GPB Sports Court line of pole Waco still leading Lovett 2113, but look at that Sequoia.
Now 5:39 they lead Creek View, thanks to the really owes pizza for their sponsorship at the scoreboard and some pretty good pizza before.
The game from really I was very good from the 20 yard line first intend to hand upon At the Jackman, he falls forward across the 25 to the 26, yard line, and an ice pick up of six yards on first down brings up second down and four.
Well you mentioned earlier that what a touchdown would be a knockout blow earlier touchdown right here certainly would be a knockout.
Blow up, 8:39 clock under seven minutes to go in the contest actually right now just possession.
They are not necessarily a possession team.
They score in a hurry but they have things in their favor right now, they'll handle.
But now the quarterback will keep much did the quarterback did.
Good.
He tries to love side and gets nothing brings up third down and about the same for yard.
Yeah.
He thought he could try to switch at the defense a little bit but if anything Walton was staying at home right there, they flank out on them.
And coming down with the tackle is Kyle Whitaker.
Number 41, Big play for Walton with a clock moving.
It'll be right around 6 minutes.
By the time this play is completed third down in for the line to make just past the third.
I guess it is the 30 back to throw ball drops.
Oh, he almost came back to catch.
It.
Police had it in his hands, dropped it and it made a last-minute lunch for it but came up short.
Yeah, that was too Willie.
Police, I thought it was maybe two on Dickie.
I was going to say the first time, I've really seen him Target you on Dickie, but he was going for Willie, police i-27 or sections in the first are coming in.
Is contest.
But unable to pick up a big one right there, which would have given them, a fresh set of downs.
Clock is stopped right now.
Bob, that's really a molten ball.
The spread formation is wonderful.
No one's figured out how to stop it but there's two things about it.
What do you got for that close?
And you got to get that dive.
And you have to go under center for the first time.
They're not comfortable.
And when they're trying to run clock a lot of times, it doesn't happen.
And now Waltons.
And their last breath, the governor called.
Gave him a reprieve.
Let's see what they can do in the final.
Six minutes.
Hi.
I snap, he brings it down.
Kick is away.
Good kick.
Fair catch can be called for by Smith.
The ball bounces at the 35 kind of took a Walton bounce.
I guess you'd have to say straight up in the air.
So Lassiter gets the ball down to the Walton.
35, 65 yards away for Walton must score situation.
Oh, certainly must score.
Indeed their defense came up, huge right there, and then they've got a score and actually roll out in their defense to come up huge.
Once again, it's all going to be on the shoulders, though.
Of the junior price Wilson.
He's going to be under Center and Much as he can rely on a great running back entire and Jones.
Once they could bust something in a hurry such as a 50-yarder, it's going to be really on him to kind of find it receivers.
They've got some good receivers but who's ergo21, I'll let you answer that after this play.
They do have a blacking back behind.
Tyrone Jones leads me to believe they'll at least try one.
Run before, looking for the pass, the hand, the ball, the Jones 35 crosses, the 38, maybe picks up three yards, but if you're going to go to somebody on the Walton team Fletcher, well, TJ Smith is teen coming into the game at 32, the most explosive 157 yards and a touchdown Stone.
Romberg had 11 catches 99 yards, Maurice Gibson, eight catches, 88 yards and a score and then Brad green has shown that he can catch the ball but for the answer is they don't really have a go-to guy.
They kind of spread the ball around, a little bit of spread, the wealth, second down and seven from the 38 clock, moving at five and a half minutes, but a Man in Motion back to throw.
Gets the ball who almost gets closer to the last.
Yeah, they were.
A DJ Smith there.
But you talked about a junior quarterback, he cut in and that pass went out, and he looks like I ran the right pattern quarterback.
He granted Claire back at him there.
Well, you know, that it's just a matter of getting on the same page.
Parker McLeod, of course, who's the quarterback for the last couple years and he ran this offense very well.
But obviously price, Wilson's, got a great arm in their coaches, feel really confident with him.
He's shown some great success in the past.
They might not alike though.
He looked back at his quarterback here, they give the ball to Jones, Jones hit in the backfield and brought down, but there's a penalty, it might be a face.
I take the flag comes down, you'd call it, holding it with two flags coming dead late.
I think they're going to get him for a face mask.
Let's see the position of the first flag would indicate face mask.
The second flag may be a bit of a haulers.
Definitely the face mask.
I think it was just the other referee thrown in support their.
Let's wait and see clock, stopped with five minutes and 12 seconds.
This is a big play right here.
Personal foul face Downs.
Wow, you stop them on third down, so that's going to bring the ball all the way to Midfield and most importantly, give them a fresh set of downs.
So there's no hurry up that.
We talked about the problems that Lassiter has running clock.
Now, Waltons got kind of a problem of not being able to get it in the giddyup mom.
Yeah and Smith who you mentioned it?
A second ago, personal foul face mask on the defense 15-yard penalty of the first down, TJ Smith is really their their playmaker out there for the wide receiver position was jerked out of the game.
We'll see if he can tell us that him of the far side back in the game.
And I think green is kind of a guy they've gone to for bigger gains, but there's other than obviously, one of the best in the state as a running back.
They don't have that big play receiver back to throw looking long toward Smith down the pill to go.
Sit in it is Has grabbed and who who came up with it?
Nobody, nobody complete pass.
I thought it was a he actually turned into a nice defensive back there and ended up with the ball, but it must have touched the ground on the way down.
We'll see for ourselves right now.
Fletcher it was, there was only one man out deep and Lasseter knew that they could stick their best cover corner on him.
And Dowling all actually rip the ball away from Smith and then make Smith knock the ball away from Dowling.
So each being a defensive back there, but Walton doesn't get credit for that since they're on offense.
All at Midfield under five minutes to go second down and 10.
Back to throw.
Now, he hands the ball to Jones at Midfield, 4540 and more 35, and brought down from behind nice stairs, America, cleverly.
I think it's on that sideline.
So I'm not sure they're going to be able to petition against it.
I think that's going to be the one you've been calling for for some time since it's on that sideline.
I think the Walton coaching staff, maybe helped him out a little bit saying there is let's take a look at that but a nice draw played there and that was an old-fashioned truck.
Interpreter.
Look at him.
He eludes this one puts his head down and gets by this guy and why I didn't see it.
Yeah, I don't know.
We'll see.
But the referee their petitioning it especially in that side, the multiple referees on the wall.
He was that they're signaling move the flat move.
The chains that they're trying to get the chains going here first down.
But hang on.
Let's see what the official, what he rules.
It's going down to the 20.
Poor scholar fouling up against the defense, 15-yard penalty, bring up the first down and There's so many things about that 15-yard.
You're seeing how methodical this drive is to get a free 15 yards, with who 15 yards is because there's a face mask.
And now, that was right, 30 yards.
It's been given to Walton here.
The ball all the way up to 80 quick snap.
They give the ball to Jones right side 15 down near the 10, still down dragging people and brought down at the 11 7-yard gain on first down, clock keeps moving four minutes and 26 seconds to go.
And he got to the line quickly.
I think we might start to see a little bit more of that.
Of course, it seems.
I say that they go to the traditional Huddle here, but I kind of like that he saw that maybe Lassiter was waiting and they got it the line.
quickly and snapped it will see what they want to do or they gonna go for a little bit of hurry up here.
Looks like they are three from the 11 hands the ball to Jones, they got him in the backfield, but he gets away from it but not for long and he's brought down for no game.
So that plated two things Fletcher brings up third down.
I'll take 30 seconds off the clock, so, but again, it's they go out to line of scrimmage.
They didn't kind of snap.
And, or Hard count to see what the defense would commit to then back off and they got back on the sidelines.
It's an important play, I get that but they are using a lot of time.
I said 30 seconds, it might be more than that clock.
Moving about to go under 3 minutes and 30 seconds, third down and short.
Third and manageable the line and make is the 8th.
Can't fakes the handoff.
Now, it's looking towards the end zone.
Has a man and it's intercepted intercepted by last.
And the crowd is going crazy coming away with it was Patrick leaving.
Dorsky They were going for their pink play Bad, Brad green but coming away with it.
Do ski and that's his fifth interception of the year and he is there free safety.
He does make the center-field play of.
Look at this play here and they were trying to even force it into green there and really better positioning by the Lassiter Defender.
Great job on his part to, to end that drive and get the ball back to his office to the 20-yard line.
19.
I would say that was the, the the dagger right there, and we've had a great game now, let's see, what Walton does.
They got two running backs, flanking, the quarterback prints and they'll give the ball, the one of them and he'll gain that.
While he's still on his feet going to be brought down again, at Shaheed running with the ball and getting nothing out.
Here is another penalty.
Take the call another horse College, I think they're going to do a makeup called here Face Bass, whatever it's going to be.
You just had 30 yards in penalties against Lassiter so they probably in her own mind.
Our good buddy Alan Smith at the GAO.
It's just such thing as a makeup call.
There's no such thing, there's no such thing as human nature, so called human nature, call that okay?
While all the way out to the 35 yard line.
Yes yesterday 15-yard brings up a first down.
Not the type of player going to see face masking and very often either but they pretty much a dive play but human nature being what it is.
So we're down to the final three minutes Lassiter.
The number two team in the state seems to have secured that position.
Here's Jake went on the right side at the 35 40, 42 yard line picks up 8 yards on first down.
And they are about one more first down after this one.
From going to the victory formation.
Yeah, Lane Jackman in there.
Right now we've seen a nice job both Jackman as well as Shaheed in there.
So Prince concern to his left, turn to his right.
Both cases, he has a big back of bruising back capable of getting some yards and I've been pretty impressed this Lassiter offense you know at times they only put up 21 points tonight and past games.
They put up 40 or 37 or whatnot but I've just been impressive.
It looks When they really get focused to do a nice mix of passin and run it, they've been hard to stop its when they get to past happy that they kind of stopped myself.
I could not agree more.
When they mix it up, the pass on the Run, that's when good things happen.
It's when they get a little, did you use the word pass happy?
That's when things start to happen.
Walton uses their second timeout to stop.
The clock is she?
He'd got stopped for, maybe a half a yard game bringing up.
Third down into the line and make is right at the 45 and eyeballs at the Three, nice game.
Fun game to watch Fletcher.
I think the better team is winning the game.
Walton has got, you know, for guys go to the SEC so they're a darn good football team but why they've just got a couple of super athletes at jet Lassiter, High School, they certainly to.
I mean we take a look at Eddie prints what he's able to do, find the ball, into the hands of say, a Blake Wilson or Willie police and it and you know, we were expecting a Juwan Dickey and Ryan Jahnke and Out of milk on the far side and true on the deciding play really on the deciding drive that got them that 8:39 lead.
Ryan Jenkins had a couple of nice plays but they should have been the unheralded, guys, such as the Blake Wilson such as the Willie police, who aren't going to the big time programs that have really gotten the ball down there and done things and then Shaheed.
And even the other running back Jackman, have done some nice done, a lot of good things if Walton had a receiver like either Wilson or police, they would have had it go-to guy to go to, here's third.
Down into one more, first down there, looking to throw the ball, looking prints rolls out and he's going to be brought down for a loss at the 43-yard line Walton's gonna call their last time out and get the ball back with two minutes and 13 seconds.
Now, it will take a miracle Fletcher but they at least get the ball back with some time but I just don't what they really need right now is for either Smith or Jones to break something here.
Both sides coming over to the sideline so it's going to be a little bit of a longer break.
We'll take it with them and be back with but after this timeout, Georgia, Public Broadcasting It's time to expect more George's.
Electric Membership Corporation lighting, the way technical college system of Georgia, learn more earn more, and by viewers like you, thank you.
As leaders.
In our communities, George is locally owned and operated Electric Membership.
Corporations are proud to sponsor GPB Sports and the Georgia.
High School Association George's, Electric cooperatives are committed to providing safe affordable and reliable, electricity to our fourth down.
Play coming up.
It will be a punch Smith, back at his own, 30 yard line, very busy punter, kicker all night long Harden is in to do the kicking bad snap and he gets it away.
Just And that going to rough the kicker.
Oh my goodness.
That should spell the end.
That is the end there.
But that number 16 ran into number 16 or actually, I guess number nine is because Rockies over there.
Giving the young man, some instruction in a little encouragement for the next time.
He's in that situation, he just got excited when the ball, hit the turf like that, watch it here and he just didn't restrain himself.
Well, it wasn't him, though.
It was the other guy, wasn't it?
Well, anyway, in any event it's an automatic first down and that will I sit for Lassiter but just imagine if that ball had rolled and they were able to tackle or stop the kick that would have flipped the field and maybe made the impossible possible but to dream the impossible Dreams after saying that's right but it is Walton is used up their timeouts, the ball will go in all the way across The Midfield stripe into the 43-yard line.
And now, with less than two minutes to go, Lassiter can probably go into the victory formation, if they'd like to because Walton can do nothing to stop the clock.
Direct snap.
They I mean, roll up wide run by has sheet and he's brought down after a gain of a couple of yards making sure he was over here, the sideline.
But he was falling down to make sure he stayed inbounds Fletcher and I guess it was almost like they were running it wide even waste a few more seconds.
Yeah and I think we'll see a couple more of those before Eddie Prince will take Annie.
I think they have to maybe get at least a play going and not just an immediate snap and Kneel down just to kind of take a few more precious seconds, off the clock.
But whatever happened the clock that they had.
That the time clock was not the news since the first quarter.
So we have to guess how long they have, but they hand the ball to Jackman this time.
Who's on the left side?
With the same long wide run and he'll be brought down just short of the first down, but that one could Walton player takes a vicious, hit it or block, I should say.
And but he gets up, we'll just keep ticking.
We are about to go under one minute.
Here's the hey, you're talking about Fletcher Jackman, get some nice blocking.
And look at this, play, come out of here, down the field, watch 32 boom, nice block.
Downfield by one of the wide receivers.
Third down in one from the 34 yard line.
A really don't need to make a first down because they run two more plays in this game is over.
So well, third down, they'll probably have to run this one right here and then I don't think they'll even come back out on for today.
We won't have to.
So this is the last play of the game.
That's a direct snap to the quarterback.
He hands to Jackman Jackman analysts.
Say about this one more first down.
You're right, he did have to do that and I believe he did.
So they will stop the clock to move the chains and then they will start the clock.
And we will have a final score of Lassiter 21 in Walton 9 and the number two team in the State beats.
The number six team in the state.
Hey young man, whose cat got his college Choice wide open as yet another impressive game and that the homecoming team starts to celebrate will be a 8:39 Victory.
As soon as we count down the last 15 seconds but Fletcher will be back to recap it here.
But it was a fun night for a great High School.
Football game.
Certainly was congratulations to Lassiter.
Winning the number two team in the state on homecoming.
Eddie Prince and Company a big sign victory.
Storming, the field zeros on the field, score 8:39 member to Lassiter, secures that position for another week homecoming, Queens coming out on the field to cheer their fans on and read the homecoming.
King will be back to tell you how they've got this final score after this timeout.

It involves Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Ram.
We have raised over 1 million dollars to help support our community.
So, say it with me.
Now, the American by American a tendrils Chrysler, Dodge Jeep Ram, there's the homecoming King right there.
Fletcher, I always wearing the crown now, look at that.
Pretty excited, Trent can, and that's funny because he wasn't able to do that in half.
Time.
I was hoping that might be one of the replays but there's the final score 8:39 and here's the best man in the business to tell you how we got there with the replays, but your Proctor.
Alrighty, Bob 8:39.
And here's how he got there.
The early on first drive of the game.
This is Lane Jackman.
Take it, in, from seven yards out that capped off an 80-yard opening drive for a score of seven.
Nothing Lassiter would take the lead.
Now, here's price Wilson, the junior quarterback filling in for Parker McLeod.
That's not good.
That's an interception by Chris Murphy coming over from Harrison and snagging the ball for his new Lassiter Trojan Squad, but one play later, Eddie Prince would give the ball right back.
Look at him going deep Colby Billings, but he's in a waltz and Raider.
So that's going to be Walt ball.
They would eventually get to all the way down the field.
Quarterback sneak, this is price Wilson, taking it in for the score.
They would miss the extra point.
So Lassiter would still lead 726.
But they would lead 726 until this all the way down the field, 62-yard completion to Brad green.
Eventually he would be tackled around his own 20-yard line leading to this 51-yard.
Field goal attempt by Anthony price and believe it or not.
927 would be your score at that point.
It was 927.
In favor of the Walton, Raiders.
Now check this out after a 50 yard run for tyrant Jones, he's looking for the End Zone.
The ball makes it there only, he's not holding onto it.
So right before halftime Walt was trying to pad the lead, they'd have to settle for just the 97 halftime lead.
Now in the third quarter, Eddie Prince working on a short field looking for police.
Instead tucks, it runs, Dives Pay, Dirt 10-yard, quarterback Scramble for a score.
Making it 14, 29.
In favor of the Trojans, they're excited, they're fun, they're pumped fourth quarter five-point lead.
Nope, check that 8:39 lead after Hakeem, Shaheed goes in on 4th and goal from the one for the score.
Now, this is a big play right here, trying to get inside tire and Jones bottled up.
He would be taken down and stopped as they were trying to mount a comeback, Walton was going to get the ball back though.
Right?
Miracles do happen.
Al Michaels.
Told me so except that's gonna give Lassiter the ball back.
They're able to run the clock out on that.
Roughing the kicker penalty Lassiter.
Number two, team in the state.
They defeat the number six team in the state in the East Cobb Super Bowl three.
Their first one over Walt then sometime Jethro and Company are celebrating a victory.
Look at him.
This troop saying?
Hey team, he just won a big game tonight.
You are 100%, right, here's a man who's turned around a Yes.
Give credit to chip rooms in the folks that got it will get started with how the semester started but believe me.
This team has got a whole new attitude.
You mentioned people transferring in.
That's probably the best sign, especially when they do it legally, like they're doing it here, you can see up in the upper right-hand corner.
There's the coach he's talking to the team and he's talking to the cheerleaders.
He's talking to the homecoming queen and the students.
And everybody's talking with just about everybody, he's got this team all revved up, number two, in the state last year, they made the quarterfinals, we can almost hear what he's saying.
Weekend.
Don't you see?
I'll cheer that mess up.
What do we got going here?
Me.
So many times we've seen across the state, including some of these teams.
Unfortunately, some players run, a little foul of the team rules.
He's saying be smart.
It's homecoming.
Enjoy the big win and you mentioned, it's not typical homecoming opponent because it's number 16.
The state.
How much sweeter is it though?
We're not homecoming.
Knock off your big rival.
