- Bout two years, maybe?

- Three, maybe?

- Three years.

- Three has to, because we did some with the (mumbles) - I mean, I think me and Lavell were - I think you guys been longer - For like, 7 Years.

8 Years, yeah.

- Yeah.

For a long time.

- And then, all of us together, probably three three strong years, I would say.

But we've been doing things together with other people for sure for about seven, eight years?

Six, seven?

- Yeah, for sure.

We've all been in the scene like the local music scene for sure.

And I think that's what's made everything even better.

Cause we kind of have a, well we do have a respect for the art, you know that's happening in our community.

And when we got together with Lavell it was just more about making it more art, yeah.

- That's what I meant to say.

So basically we will do sessions.

We'll have Misch come in and I'll have like, some ideas and we'll turn it from this, he'll make it this, you know make it bigger than what I had in mind pretty much And we're still in that for awhile.

I'll throw it to Mark and just builds, builds, builds and some stuff makes it some things don't Like my last album, we basically They're the glue that holds the whole project together If you will, from the intro to the outro It's basically a whole music instrumentation throughout the whole piece, you know?

So, I'm a musician myself.

Obviously I played piano but I play the drums also.

So that was before me in front of the microphone.

So I've always wanted to incorporate live.

So yeah, we just, that's pretty much the process.

It just pieces to the puzzle and it just becomes something, you know?

But because of the pandemic life, my focus has shifted more towards original music and artistry.

And I'm even working on some of my own stuff now that I've I won't say I'm not interested in playing cover gigs anymore but it's not my focus like it used to be.

I'm much more interested in getting out And I'm the old grandpa in the group.

I'm the oldest cat here, but - Master Mark - I have threatened to do my own stuff for probably twenty years now And the pandemic has made me realize that I'm running out of time.

If I'm going to do it, I may as well do it now.

- Yeah.

- Or I'm not ever going to do it.

So that, that has changed my whole mindset there.

- Yeah.

- And I mean, I've been gigging with Mark since I was like, I'm thirty now, but I was like, eighteen maybe?

When I very first started dealing with him.

- Master Mark.

- Yeah, yeah I call him pops.

Cause I mean, I've known him for forever.

- Markipedia, my - Markipedia, yeah (group laughing together) - Got so much music, quicker than Google.

- I didn't know for Lavell I mean, he's a, he's an amazing musician, amazing artist.

It's year one, that's the way I see it.

Twenty, twenty-one.

Year one Year zero was, well you guys know what year zero was, But, as far as you know gigging and all that stuff, everything's changed.

You know what I mean?

Everybody's more aware of the world being a platform rather than just your immediate live world.

You know, if you're creative enough you're able to put all these things together but it's forced people to do that.

You know, I think that pandemic has definitely made people be more techy, you know.

Find different ways of catching an audience.

And I think that's great.

I mean, I know Lavell, he's pushing this stuff on all Platforms and being creative, you know one thing we've talked about is being real.

You know what I mean?

Like it's like Music supposed to be real, you know it's supposed to be something you listened to and it takes you somewhere, wherever you gotta be, you know?

Because sometimes there's no escape from life And music is an awesome escape.

So that's the mission.

I think more and more we've worked together, right?

Like it's just like man, let's just make good music.

Cause people gotta hear it.
