Day 34 finally saw a budget bill get passed by the senate, only to fail in the house.
The Georgia State Senate passed a budget bill Friday that included 2.6 billion dollars in spending cuts. Senate Democrats, who voted against it, said more tax revenue could be generated by taxing tobacco products. But the House rejected the bill, and now members of both chambers are working on a compromise.
