Day 1 of the 2025 session welcomed Georgia legislators and laid out the year's priorities.

Georgia legislators convened at the Gold Dome today in Atlanta for Day 1 of a new legislative session. The Senate PASSED six resolutions including the re-authorization of the investigation of Fani Willis. In the House, Speaker Jon Burns laid out his legislative priorities and Representatives approved new rules for the chamber, INCLUDING limiting the number of bills a member can introduce to 10.
