GOP led Senate Committee vote to make major changes to Gwinnett's BOE and Commissioners.

The Senate Committee on State and Local Government met for a second day, voting to increase of the number of Gwinnett County Commissioners despite vocal opposition. Yesterday the GOP led committee voted to make school board members non-partisan. Democrats say that these bills were rushed, not reviewed by the public, and aren't needed. Republicans say the county's rapid growth warrant the changes.
