GA House passes Senate redistricting plan, 96 to 70, despite Democratic opposition.
On Day 9 of the Special Session the Georgia House passed the Senate GOP led redistricting plan, 96 to 70. The Democratic response was led by a group of female Legislators who spoke in opposition to the bill, claiming that the map disenfranchised women and minorities. Both bills are now on the Governor's desk awaiting his signature.
