Keith: Hey Bud, good decision.
Breccan: I'm glad it worked out.
Caleb: The hardest for me was walking through the sand.
That sand was so deep, it was just terrible.
Breccan: Step after step after step.
Colin: The Cooks have corrected their course and are makin' their way to the last boulder section of the race.
Kathryn: We're gonna finish strong.
Addi: I know.
Savannah: Go, go, go.
Caleb: I think I see something guys, do you see it?
Breccan: Yeah.
Pam: I see somethin' up ahead.
I see Colin.
Colin: Albert Family!
Let's go!
You're almost there!
Pam: I think it motivated all of us to just push through, together as a family, and cross that finish line together.
Whoo!
Colin: Congratulations!
Pam: Yeah!
Colin: Only one last task if you guys want the win.
Pam: Yeah!
- Gotta raise that family flag.
Keith: What we learned on this adventure is that we're quite resilient as a family.
This whole experience, it was absolutely one of the best things that we've done as a family.
All: [cheering] Colin: Albert Family!
You have won Survivalists!
Congratulations!
Pam: Good job you guys!
Colin: Pam, how does it feel to be here, standin' arm-in-arm with your oldest son?
Pam: This whole week has been such an awesome adventure.
Just the four of us, in the present moment, being out of our comfort zone has just been awesome.
I was really proud that we all knew that we had to do something together as a family.
And we did it without hesitation.
♪♪ Colin: Caleb, you stepped up man.
It was impressive to watch you throughout this entire time.
Caleb: Colin, I've seen a lot of growth in not only me, but also my family.
And I led us home to the finish line.
This experience changed my life.
I kinda realized that I'm slowly becoming a leader.
And while I'm becoming a leader, I'm doing it with my family.
We kinda had to come face-to-face with each other and kinda say how we were feelin' and let each other know what we really wanted.
Pam: I really hope that that's something we'll be able to take back home with us.
The next time we have a conflict at home, I really hope that Caleb can stop and we can listen to each other so that we can resolve things together as a family.
Colin: Congratulations Albert Family.
You're the winners of Survivalists.
Pam: Awesome, thank you.
Thanks, Colin.
Wooo!
Good job guys.
[flag flapping in wind] Kathryn: We're gonna make it, guys.
And we didn't die.
You can see the finish line.
Addi: [groan] Kathryn: Right there.
Colin: Well, it looks like we can see the rest of your family in the distance, there.
They're almost to the finish line.
What does that mean to you to see your wife and your two daughters out there, takin' on this challenge by themselves?
Lane: Just seein' the strength that each of those people have, and that gives me strength.
Colin: Yeah!
Wooo!
Lane: [whistle] Addi: When I saw my dad at the finish line, I was so excited, And it just made me want to start running.
Lane: [shouting] All right!
[whoop] Kathryn: Oh!
Addi: I'm definitely leaving this with a lot more confidence, just knowing that I finished and had a positive mindset towards the end and really do things that I've never done before.
It's shown myself that I can do a lot more than I thought I could.
[flag flapping in wind] Colin: Congratulations, Cook Family!
Cook Family: [clapping] You finished Survivalists!
Well, you told me at the beginning that you really wanted to show your parents, show your older sister, a different side of you, a more mature side of you.
Do you feel like you've done that out here?
Addi: I think I've definitely proved myself and if I haven't, then I don't know what else I can do.
Cook Family: [laughter] Addi: Because this was brutal.
My goal for this trip was to show that I can bring value to this family and, you know, show more strength.
I've definitely proved myself a lot.
And I'm really happy that my parents could see that.
Savannah: I'm so proud of her.
She's not, like, the little baby sister I remember.
I'm just so proud of her.
She did it.
I think for Addi, it's been a really pivotal lesson.
She can definitely apply this mindset and this attitude towards her struggles she's facing with the family.
Colin: Kathryn, what has Addi shown you out here?
Kathryn: She has shown me more grit and endurance and bravery than even anyone will ever know.
I'm actually so proud of her.
Colin: You guys may have not come in first place in the race, but if you came away with a deep connection to family, love, compassion, I'd say you guys won the ultimate prize.
Congratulations on getting to the finish line of Survivalists.
Good job, good job.
Lane: We got a four-day, concentrated course in failure and success and fighting and getting back up and we ended up at the flag.
That moment is a moment that I'll savor forever.
