Well, thank you very much.
So that tune was a, a piece called Common Ground, and I actually wrote that for a guitar competition.
It's the International Finger Style Guitar Championships, which are held in Winfield, Kansas, actually all places on Earth.
People come from all over the world to it.
And back in the year 2000, I thought I'd try it out and see if I could get, get my career going a bit, you know.
But I was just a, a guitar teacher here in Topeka, Kansas, and started writing some of my own original music and thought I'd try this competition and get my name out there a bit.
And in the year 2001, I got third place and played some original music, and I thought I'd go back and see if I could move up to second or first.
And I wrote that tune and I kind of thought the judges might like that kind of playing, where you had this alternating bass thing with your thumb.
So I wrote that tune with that style and went back the next year and didn't even get in the top five or top 10, I think, you know, who knows?
But, so I didn't, I didn't get any further than that, but, but so it, it, it didn't help my career out too much.
But a few years later, I put some videos on YouTube in 2005, and that really changed my life in a big way.
This tune here, this next one really took off on there.
And its original piece I wrote in my late teens.
Actually, I'm 46 now, so getting up there.
But this one really took off and changed my life on YouTube about 20 years ago.
Now, this piece called Drifting.
I like to use some weird guitar tunings, you know, to kind of help me get creative with the guitar.
So another thing I like to do sometimes is put capos on the guitar in unusual ways.
And here I'm just covering a few strings with this capo and like to play you a tune more kind of melodic thing, not so much percussion and crazy stuff like that.
This is a tune that dedicated to a friend when his daughter had passed away.
Sadly, it's many years ago now, but she had this very unique name, so I thought I would use her name for the title.
So this piece is called Ryan Lynn, very percussive kind of guitar piece here.
It is called Hunter's Moon.
I've been playing the baritone for, for quite a while now, about 20 years.
And it's, I, I find I like the sound even more than, than the standard guitar.
I just love that low end.
So I play a few things on this now.
This is a piece called Blue Liquid.
This is another sort of slow, melodic thing.
It's a waltz in three, four time, you know, so hope you like it.
This is called For My Father.
