Study finds LGBTQ Americans nine times more likely than non-LGBTQ people to be victimized
A new report finds that LGBTQ Americans are nine times more likely than non-LGBTQ people to be victimized by a hate crime. The study also finds the majority of victims are women and the majority of offenders are male. Fewer than four out of 10 victims of LGBTQ-related violent hate crime sought professional help for their emotional or physical damage related to the victimization.
