Now, here's your host, Pete Hewlett.
And.
Hello, and welcome to the 200 live from studio A holiday jam.
Yeah.
All right.
This is our sixth year.
Believe it or not, for the holiday jam.
And as you just saw, we've got quite a diverse lineup for you this year.
So sit back, enjoy the show.
And we're going to kick things off with a song called The Christmas Waltz.
Frosted window panes.
Candles gleaming inside painted candy canes on the tree.
Santa is on his way.
He's filled his sleigh with things.
Things for you and for me.
It's that time of year when the world falls in love.
Every song you hear seems to say Merry Christmas.
May your new year dreams come true.
And this song of mine in three-quarter time wishes you were yours.
The same thing.
Too.
I love frosted window panes.
Candles gleaming inside, painted candy.
canes on the tree.
Santa is on his way.
Hes filled his sleigh with things.
Things for you and for me.
It's that time of year when the world falls in love.
Every song you hear seems to say Merry Christmas.
May your new year dreams come true.
Oh.
and this song of mine in three quarters time.
Wishes you and yours the same thing you.
It's the most wonderful time of the year.
Jimmy, I just came back from a lovely trip along the Milky Way.
And I stopped off at the North Pole to spend the holiday.
I called on dear old Santa Claus to see what I could see.
He took me to his workshop.
and told his plans to me.
So you better watch out.
You better not cry I better not pout.
I am telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town.
Well, he is making a list, checking it twice.
And he's going to find out who's been naughty and nice.
Santa Claus is coming to town since you went to sleep.
And he knows when you're awake.
He knows if youve been bad, or good.
So be good, for goodness sake.
Well, you better watch out.
You better not cry, Youd better not pout I am telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town.
Oh, here comes.
And sees you and sleeping.
And he knows when you are awake.
He knows if youve been bad, or good.
So be good for goodness sake.
Well, you better watch out.
You better not cry.
You better not fly off town.
You are Santa Claus is coming.
Santa Claus is coming.
Santa Claus is coming to town.
Our music director, Scott Anderson, arranges most of the songs on the show, and there's on that he's always wanted to do.
Here's the live from studi A chamber orchestra with Scott's arrangement of What Child Is This?
What child is this, who laid to rest, on Mary's lap is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet while shepherds.
watch are keeping?
This is Christ, the king, whom shepherds guard and angels sing.
Haste, haste to bring him, laud the babe, the Son of Mary.
Why lies He in such mean estate, where ox and ass are feeding?
Good Christian fear.
For sinners.
here The silent word is pleading This now what God decreed from Jacob shall the star proceed.
And hail, hail the word made flesh.
The babe, the Son of mary.
so bring him.
Incense, gold and myrrh come present.
King to own him the King of kings.
Salvation brings.
Let loving hearts enthrone him.
Raise, raise a song on high.
The virgin sings her lullaby Joy.
Joy for Christ is born.
Thebabe the son of Mary.
What Child is this, who, laid to rest, On Mary's lap is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet.
While shepherds watch are keeping.
This, this is Christ the King.
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing: of his days Haste, haste to bring Him laud, The Babe, the Son of Mary!
The cello is again featured on this next song.
In fact, four cellos, winners of this year's John Lennon WQED music competition.
Here's Cellofourte with Carol of the Bells.
Next up, we have Maureen Budway with this beautiful song written by Amy Grant called Breath of Heaven.
I have traveled many moonless nights, cold and weary.
With a baby inside And I wonder What I've done.
Holy father, you have come.
Chosen me now to carry your son.
I am waiting in a silent prayer.
I am frighten by the load.
I bear in a world as cold as stone.
Must I walk this path alone?
Be with me now.
Be with me now.
Breath of heaven, hold me together.
Be forever near me.
Breath of heaven, Breath of heaven.
Lighten my darkness.
Pour over me your holiness.
For you are holy.
Breath of heaven.
Do you wonder as you watch my face, if a wise one should have had my place.
But I offer all I am.
For the mercy of your plan.
Help me be strong.
Help me be.
Help me.
Breath of heaven.
Lighten my darkness.
Pour over me, your holiness.
For you are holy.
Breath of Heaven.
Lighten my darkness.
Pour over me.
Your holiness.
For you are Holy Breath of Heaven.
Lighten my darkness, pour over me, your holiness.
For you are holy breath of heaven, breath of heaven, breath of heaven.
One voice can surely lift the spirit.
So how about 70?
Here they are, the Urban Impact Foundation community choirs singing No Greater Love.
There is no greater love.
There is no greater love.
There is no greater love.
No greater love.
There is no greater love.
There is no greater love.
There is no greater love.
No greater love.
No greater love.
than a man would lay down His life He would lay down his life for a friend, for a friend.
No greater love.
No greater love, No greater love.
Jesus came unto the earth.
The king of kings of humble birth.
That's love That's love Jesus Christ to Calvary to save a wretch like you.
And me.
That's love that's love Jesus Christ to Calvary to save a wrench like you and me.
That's love that's love They hung Him high, they strecthed Him wide.
He bowed his head for me, and then he dead that's love that's love They hung Him high, they strecthed Him wide.
He bowed his head for me, and then he dead That love, that's love, Thats not how the story ends.
Three days later, he rose again.
That's love, that's love, that's not how the story ends.
Three days later, he rose again.
That's love, that's not how the story ends.
One day still, hell come again.

Till the angels lift up the trumpets and whoop all the high.
No, only angels play.
Let's stars in the sky.
Shine beyond what is bright.
The truth is born today.
In what was from the start.
With the here and what we see.
Without a line.
Would we look up on.
try to touch and turns the word of life.
Search the balance and lift up the sad ones.
Full.
With all the flowers of infinite faith.
For the prophets who told of this land.
We behold the truth is born today in what was from the start.
What we see inside, what we see with all of us.
What we look up on and try to touch turns the word of life.
Sing hallelujah, hallelujah.

Next, an authentic bluegrass back porch kind of holiday tune.
Here are the Beagle Brothers with alone for Christmas.
Will you stop that?
Wonderful.
I am never one time I had to call my lawyer.
Call my pony.
Little money real bad.
Spent my time in jail.
Jail cell with the rats in the bed.
Come down sleepin all over the place.
Somebody burn the jail house down.
While I'm all alone for Christmas I'm on my own till the air stain I got time to kill.
When I'm over the hill.
And I'm all alone.
On Christmas day.
Wonde is this and all the things I do.
And the crazy little things that you see.
Nobody loves you when you're down and out.
And Jesus you when you pray for me.
If you ever have a dime.
And if I don't need a little company.
It's a long time coming.
Its a short time, I'm going.
My baby put the chains on me I'm all alone for Christmas.
I'm on my own.
Tell me your faith I got time to kill.
And I'm over the hill.
And I'm all alone.

Be able to get some.
What is those?
It's the brighter days and happy holidays.
I'm all I wrote while I'm all alone for Christmas I'm on my own.
Tell me baby, I've got time to kill.
And I'm over the hill.
And I'm all alone on Christmas day we'll sa love is busy with his happiness.
And he trust his driver.
Don't ever look back.
And I see all your lady.
