Butterfly Watching and Research in the Red Hills

Clip: Season 1 Episode 5 | 5m 20sVideo has Closed Captions

We explore butterfly habitats in the Red Hills of Florida and Georgia.

Dean and Sally Jue are passionate about butterflies. They've been conducting biological surveys of varied ecosystems in the Red Hills and Apalachicola National Forest, trying to learn as much about them as possible. We accompanied them to Klapp-Phipps Park in Tallahassee, a wet slope forest that is home to rare golden-banded skippers. From there, we go to an old-growth longleaf forest.
