Moving Food Forward - The Leon Fruit and Nut Exchange

Clip: Season 2 Episode 17 | 5m 51sVideo has Closed Captions

A new program in Tallahassee helps home gardeners share their produce with people in need.

Tabitha Frazier created the Leon Fruit and Nut Exchange to enable home gardeners with extra produce to pay their food forward to people within their community who lack access to fresh food. Growers can register online at leonfruitandnutexhange.org to donate their harvest to local food banks and organizations like the Springfield Community Center where Miaisha Mitchell runs an after school program.
