Rivers and Creeks | Roaming the Red Hills
Clip: Season 1 Episode 21 | 9m 28sVideo has Closed Captions
Red Hills rivers: we explore the Ochlockonee and the headwaters of the Aucilla.
The Red Hills region is bound by two rivers: the Ochlockonee to its west and the Aucilla to its east. At Lost Creek, we explore an old growth slope forest at the headwaters of the Aucilla, and learn how native people may have made use of its natural resources. We then kayak a wild stretch of the Ochlockonee in Georgia before heading down that river and into Florida for the Ochlockonee Bio-Blitz.
