The Lumberjack Roundup, a Vermont summer tradition, began in 1952. The program was designed to entertain and educate about the need for natural resource management. In 1969, Vermont Educational Television covered the highlights of the roundup. Events included: log chopping, tree felling, log burling, pole climbing, ox drawing, fly casting clinic, wood carving, and cross-cut sawing.
