I am always amazed at what I see.
I'm Mark Pass and I am one of the people that helps organize things for the 50th annual Bazaar on Madeline Island at Saint John's United Church of Christ.
We just fell into the sale last year, and so this year we actually, you know, made our trip specifically to come for the sale.
There are a significant number of people who plan their Madeline Island vacation around the bazaar.
This is a fundraiser that is supported by by people from all over the island.
A big portion of our of our funding comes from this bazaar, but it is it's sort of the excitement of early August.
Right?
People coming together, finding what they want to, you know, what they, what's what they want for their for their homes and just a chance to kind of catch up.
Sunday is perhaps the most fun because not only do I tell them how much we made, but I ask the congregation to stand if they've been involved in the bazaar, and we have way more than half of the congregation stands.
And the people who are sitting on our tourists, they're just visiting.
We support the community and just about any way we can.
And if it wasn't for this, it would be really challenging to do that.
