But I have reached a point in my artwork that I want to make my own quilts from my own designs.
And I started thinking, why can't I create quilts that are inspired by my photographs?
So with assistance from Arrowhead Regional Arts Council and the guidance from quilt instructors that I discovered, I made three.
That is a photograph of my son Lane with a facemask.
It's the very first face mask I made when the pandemic started.
And then I took a photograph of a cup and saucer that I would say was maybe the most challenging.
And then the final one I did for this project is a photograph of my poppies in my garden.
The fabric and thread is a way to create art, just like paint and beadwork and all the other types.
So I kind of have been on a mission to get that message out there.
