[ Giggles ] I'm making some of my delicious rainbow potato salad for my Grampy!
[ Giggles ] Oh, yeah.
[ Grunts ] Grampy and I are having lunch today.
I'm bringing the rainbow potato salad, and Grampy's making the hopping honeyberry sandwiches.
We are a hee-hawesome team!
Ha ha.
[ Giggles ] Hm.
Yeah, we help each other out.
I help him give his pet elephant Gregory a bath.
Or pick veggies in his garden.
Mm, we love being together.
We make music and play games.
And walk Gregory.
[ Giggle ] When we spend time together, it makes us feel so, so, so happy!
Ha ha.
Hm.
I have a pal who also loves spending time with his grandparent -- Ramiro.
[ Giggle ] He's always helping out and having fun with his great-grandmother Tina.
Ha.
-Hey, what's up?
I'm Ramiro.
This is my sister RaNaja.
-Hey!
-We're at my great-grandma's house.
Come on in!
[ Dialing ] [ Line ringing ] -Hello?
-Hi, Grandma.
You want me to grab the mail for you?
-Yes.
-Ramiro has a big family, and he helps all of us.
-Ramiro finds small ways he can help his great-grandma, like bringing in her mail.
-Hi, Grandma.
I got your mail!
-Oh.
Thank you.
-This is my great-grandma Tina!
-[ Chuckles ] -My favorite thing to do is make tea for Grandma.
-Ramiro thinks about how his great-grandma likes her tea when he makes it.
-You want sugar or honey?
-Both.
-Okay.
-He does a really good job squeezing in the honey, mixing it up for her, making sure it's not too hot.
-Thank you.
-You're welcome.
-Just right.
When he makes me a cup of tea, he cheers me up.
-Today, Ramiro's helping with grocery shopping.
-Are you gonna get out?
-Uh... This is one of them.
-Ramiro helps our great-grandma drive the cart at the grocery store because her left arm doesn't work.
-Grandma, how many peaches do you want?
-Four soft peaches, please.
-Four soft peaches.
-Yes.
-Ramiro listens closely when his great-grandma asks for help.
-One, two, three, four.
I like helping my grandma shop.
I'm very good at helping my grandma shop.
-Very good.
Thank you.
-Ramiro learns a lot by helping our great-grandma.
It teaches him to be patient and kind, and a helping hand.
-Now that they have the groceries, Ramiro's whole family is coming over for a big meal.
-Mom, we're home.
-Hi, Ramiro.
-Got some groceries from the store.
-Thank you.
Hey, RaNaja.
-You're welcome.
-Hi, Mom.
-Did y'all find everything?
-Yes.
-I think so.
Yeah.
Hey, Mom, can I help cook?
-Of course you can help me cook.
A little bit more... -Ramiro and his mom make a great team -- just like Grampy and me!
-Helping makes me feel good.
♪ -Helping makes Ramiro and his family feel happy.
-Do the rock star!
Get it!
-He makes me laugh a lot.
It shows me that he cares.
It makes me feel good and I'll be happy.
[ Laughs ] -I love helping my family 'cause it's, like, really fun.
Like, making people laugh, making people smile.
When somebody's sad, I like to help them feel better 'cause I'm kind.
-No matter how big or small you are, you have a role to play in your family.
It makes you feel really good inside whenever you help someone.
-Everybody can be a helper in their family.
Everybody is somebody.
[ Laughs ] -Helping your family with small things and with big laughs is a hee-hawesome way to show you care!
-Thanks for spending time with my family!
